INTERVIEW

1. Why do you want to run for this position? I want to run for this
position because I believe I can contribute positively to our school
environment. I have a passion for leadership and collaboration, and I
want to bring about meaningful changes that benefit all students.
This role would allow me to represent my peers and help address
their concerns.
2. What are your main goals if elected?
o Create a better school environment where everyone feels
included, safe, and encouraged to participate.
o Promote better English-speaking skills across the student body
by organizing activities and events that encourage
communication in English.
o Increase transparency between the student council and the
student body, ensuring that decisions are clearly
communicated and understood.
3. How will you make a difference in the school community? I
plan to create an open dialogue between the student council and
the student body, making sure everyone feels comfortable sharing
their thoughts and ideas. I will also focus on creating more
opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular activities
and skill-building workshops, especially those related to public
speaking and teamwork.
4. What leadership experience do you have?
o I believe in working as a team and making sure everyone feels
valued.
o I am not overly aggressive, but I do assert my opinions when
necessary, and I know how to listen to and respect others'
ideas.
o I always give credit where it’s due, while offering constructive
feedback to help people improve.
o Additionally, I have helped organize school events in the past,
and I frequently take initiative in group projects, ensuring
everyone stays on track.
5. How do you handle criticism or disagreements with others? I
believe that disagreements are a natural part of any team
environment. I handle criticism by staying calm and open-minded,
evaluating the feedback carefully to see if there is something I can
learn from. If I disagree with someone, I focus on understanding
their perspective first before explaining my own.
6. How will you ensure that all students’ voices are heard?
o I will make it a priority to encourage everyone to share their
opinions, whether it's in meetings, through suggestion boxes,
or online platforms.
o I will ensure that every viewpoint is considered before making
decisions, and I’ll work with my team to create opportunities
for underrepresented students to speak up.
o Additionally, I’ll hold regular listening sessions where students
can express concerns or ideas directly to the council.
7. How will you manage your time between schoolwork and
your responsibilities if elected? I have strong time-management
skills, and I plan to maintain a schedule that allows me to balance
schoolwork and my duties as a council member. By setting clear
priorities and delegating tasks when necessary, I’m confident I can
handle both my academic and leadership responsibilities effectively.
8. What qualities make you the best choice for this position?
o My confidence and determination to strive for the best
outcomes.
o My leadership skills, which allow me to guide teams without
being overbearing.
o My ability to communicate clearly and effectively, ensuring
everyone understands their role and the larger goals.
o My dedication to making a real difference, not just for myself
but for the whole school community.
9. What specific initiatives or changes do you plan to
implement?
o I plan to introduce more student-led events that foster
creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
o I would also advocate for better communication between
students and administration, ensuring that students’ concerns
are taken seriously.
o I will promote mental health awareness by organizing
workshops and bringing in guest speakers to discuss stress
management and personal well-being.
10. How will you work with others on the student council? I
believe in open communication and respect for everyone's ideas. I
will work collaboratively with my fellow council members by
listening to their perspectives and finding common ground when
disagreements arise. I’ll ensure that each member feels valued and
included, and we’ll work together to achieve our common goals.
These responses will help showcase your leadership skills, communication
abilities, and commitment to improving your school community.

You said:
there are four houses at my school. i'm in unity. what does the house unity
represent
The Unity house at your school likely represents values such as teamwork,
togetherness, and collaboration. It emphasizes the importance of working
as a cohesive group where every member is valued, and contributions are
made collectively to achieve common goals. Unity symbolizes harmony
among differences, fostering an environment where students support one
another and build strong relationships. In competitions or school events, it
probably encourages everyone to come together for the greater good,
putting aside individual interests for the success of the group.
