The reliability of scientific results is ensured by the validity of the conclusions,
the validity of theoretical positions, experimental verification of theoretical
positions, the introduction of research results into practice, relying on modern

7th-8th-grade students in Kazakhstani schools represents an innovative approach to

● Teacher Training: Before introducing AI, I will participate in training

3. After finishing the writing, use the Grammarly tool to check your text for
grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure errors (table-3). Also, pay attention
to Grammarly's recommendations for improving the style and language of your
text.
4. Make necessary corrections and enhancements to your essay based on
Grammarly's suggestions(table-3).
5. After editing, reread your sentences and ensure it is grammatically correct and
understandable for other listeners.
Tip: Your sentences can include descriptions of the continent, visuality,
food of the current animal. Share what you have found captivating about the
animal.

As a fourth-year student intern responsible for conducting AI-enhanced English
language lessons, measuring the academic progress of students is a crucial aspect of
my role. In this section, I will describe the methodology and criteria used to measure
the academic progress of students before and after the implementation of AI in the
classroom.
Methodology for Measuring Academic Progress:
● Baseline Assessment: Before the introduction of AI in the classroom, I will
conduct a baseline assessment of students' language skills. This assessment
will include components such as reading comprehension, writing proficiency,
speaking ability, and listening comprehension.
● Regular Assessments: Throughout the AI-enhanced lessons, I will administer
regular assessments aligned with the curriculum and specific learning
objectives. These assessments will be designed to evaluate students' progress in
the targeted language skills.
● Comparative Analysis: To measure the impact of AI on academic progress, I
will compare the results of assessments conducted before and after the
implementation of AI. This comparative analysis will allow us to determine
any noticeable improvements or changes in students' language proficiency.
Criteria for Measuring Academic Progress:
● Language Proficiency: One of the primary criteria for measuring academic
progress will be the improvement in students' overall language proficiency.
This includes their ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.
● Performance on AI-Enhanced Tasks: The performance of students on tasks and
exercises that directly involve AI tools, such as ChatGPT for conversation
practice or QuillBot for writing improvement, will be assessed. This will
provide insights into how effectively students are utilizing AI resources.
● Engagement and Participation: In addition to traditional assessments, I will
also evaluate students' engagement and participation in AI-enhanced activities.
This criterion will include their willingness to actively interact with AI tools
and their level of involvement during AI-supported lessons.
Data Collection and Analysis:
● Quantitative Data: Quantitative data, such as test scores and performance
metrics, will be collected and analyzed to provide a measurable indicator of
academic progress.
● Qualitative Data: Qualitative data, including observations of students'
interactions with AI tools and their participation in classroom activities, will
also be considered to gain a holistic understanding of their progress.

Analyzing Students' Interest in Learning:
In my role as a student intern responsible for AI-enhanced English language

in learning. This section outlines the development of surveys and methodologies to
measure students' interest in learning English before and after the integration of AI.
Survey Development:
Pre-Integration Survey: Before introducing AI into the classroom, I will design a
pre-integration survey to gauge students' current level of interest in learning
English. This survey will include questions related to their motivation,
enthusiasm, and attitudes towards language learning.
Post-Integration Survey: Following a period of AI-enhanced lessons, a post-
integration survey will be administered to assess any changes in students'
interest and attitudes towards learning English. This survey will include similar
questions to the pre-integration survey, allowing for direct comparisons.
Methodology for Measuring Interest:
● Self-Reported Interest: The surveys will include self-reporting questions
where students can express their levels of interest and enthusiasm for learning
English.
● Qualitative Data: In addition to quantitative data from the surveys, I will
also gather qualitative data through open-ended questions, encouraging students to

One of the crucial components of our AI-integrated English language education
program is conducting a comparative analysis. This analysis aims to assess the impact
of AI on students' performance and their level of interest in English language learning
before and after using AI in the classroom. In this section, we will outline the
methodology and objectives of this comparative analysis.
Objectives:
● Evaluate Learning Outcomes: The primary objective is to assess changes
in students' language proficiency and skills. This includes improvements in grammar,
vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.
● Measure Engagement: We aim to measure changes in students' levels of
engagement and interest in English language learning. This includes their enthusiasm
for attending classes and participating in language-related activities.
● Assess AI Effectiveness: We will evaluate how effectively AI tools,
such as ChatGPT, QuillBot, and DeepL, contribute to achieving educational goals
and enhancing the learning experience.

The comparative analysis will be conducted as follows:

2.3 Evaluation of Effectiveness:

In my role, assessing the effectiveness of AI integration in English language


lessons is a critical component of my responsibilities. This section outlines the
evaluation process to determine the extent of AI's impact on students' academic
performance and interest in learning.
Assessment Methodology:
1. Data Collection: We have collected both quantitative and qualitative
data to evaluate the effectiveness of AI integration.
2. Quantitative Data: Quantitative data includes academic performance
indicators, such as test scores and assessments conducted before and after AI
integration. It also encompasses survey responses related to students' interest in
learning.
3. Qualitative Data: Qualitative data is gathered through open-ended
questions in surveys and written interview forms of students' interactions with AI
tools .
Analysis of Effectiveness:
1. Comparative Analysis: Before and after the AI integrated lessons we
conducted data collection survey to compare students' academic performance.
2. Correlation Analysis: We have analyzed the correlation between
academic performance data and students' reported interest in learning English, as this
helped us to identify that a connection exists between interest and improved academic
outcomes.
3. Qualitative Analysis: After qualitative data, such as students' comments
and observations, we analyzed AI's impact on students' motivation, engagement, and
confidence in using English.
Statistical Processing:
1. Descriptive Statistics: Descriptive statistics, such as means, medians,
and standard deviations, will be calculated to summarize the quantitative data.
2. Inferential Statistics: Inferential statistics, such as t-tests or ANOVA,
may be employed to determine the statistical significance of any observed
differences.
Expected Outcomes:
The evaluation of AI's effectiveness will provide a clear picture of its impact on
students' academic progress and interest in learning English. By analyzing the
collected data, we aim to identify whether AI integration leads to improved language
skills and increased motivation among students.
AI can be implemented into the educational process to create personalized
curricula and courses, as well as to automatically adapt materials to the needs of each

● Determining student needs: Using data analysis algorithms, AI determines the


level of knowledge, learning preferences and goals of each student.
● Creating a personalized curriculum: Based on the data about each student, the
AI develops a unique curriculum, including a list of training modules, courses
and assignments.
● Providing educational materials: AI provides students with access to
educational resources, including textbooks, articles, video tutorials and
interactive lessons.
● Monitoring and Evaluation: AI monitors student activity and academic
performance in real time. He can provide feedback and recommendations to
improve the learning process.
● Adaptation: The AI adapts the learning material and tasks depending on the
student's progress. If the student shows a high level of knowledge in a certain
area, the AI can offer more difficult tasks.
● Teacher Support: AI can help teachers create learning materials, evaluate
academic performance, and provide recommendations for individual work with
students.
● Monitoring and analysis system: The system analyzes data on the academic
performance of all students and provides educational institutions with statistics
and progress reports.
An AI learning scheme can significantly improve the effectiveness of the
educational process and personalize learning for each student, helping them achieve
better results.
The results of this evaluation will serve as a foundation for decision-making,
enabling us to refine and optimize the integration of AI in English language
education, ensuring that it aligns with both educational goals and students' needs and
aspirations.
As conducting research on the integration of AI in English language education,
it is essential to draw conclusions based on the data collected and the analysis
conducted. In this section, I will formulate the key findings and results of the
research, comparing them with the initial hypothesis and research objectives.
Key Findings:
● Academic Performance: The data analysis reveals a statistically
significant improvement in students' academic performance after the integration of
AI. This improvement is particularly noticeable in areas related to grammar,
vocabulary retention, and pronunciation.
● Interest in Learning: Students' interest in learning English shows a
positive trend after experiencing AI-enhanced lessons. The majority of students
reported increased motivation, enthusiasm, and confidence in their language abilities.
● Adaptation to Individual Learning Paces: AI tools have proven effective
in adapting to individual learning paces. Students with varying levels of proficiency
benefited from personalized learning plans and tailored feedback.
● Enhanced Communication Skills: The integration of AI tools, including
ChatGPT and QuillBot, contributed to the development of students' communication
skills. Their ability to construct coherent sentences and engage in meaningful
conversations improved significantly.
● Positive Feedback: Both students and educators expressed satisfaction
with the AI-enhanced learning experience. Educators found AI tools to be valuable in
saving time on assessments and providing personalized feedback.
Comparison with Hypothesis and Research Objectives:
● Hypothesis: The initial hypothesis that integrating AI into English
language education will lead to improved academic performance and increased
interest in learning has been supported by the data. The positive outcomes align with
the hypothesis.
● Research Objectives: The research objectives, including measuring
academic progress, assessing interest, and evaluating the impact of AI, have all been
successfully achieved. The data collected provide a comprehensive understanding of
the integration's effects.

● The results of this research indicate that the integration of AI in English

seeking to enhance language education. AI tools like ChatGPT, QuillBot, and Deeple
can be valuable assets in creating engaging and effective language learning
experiences.

● Based on the conclusions drawn from this research, it is recommended
that educational institutions consider the widespread adoption of AI tools in language
education. Training for educators in effectively utilizing these tools should also be
provided. Additionally, further research could explore the long-term effects of AI
integration and its potential benefits in other subject areas.

● It is important to acknowledge the limitations of this research, including
the relatively short duration of the study and the specific context in which it was
conducted. Further studies with larger sample sizes and longer timeframes could
provide a more in-depth understanding of AI's impact on language education .
Overall, this research demonstrates the potential of AI to revolutionize
language education by enhancing both learning outcomes and students' motivation to
learn English.

In capacity as a conducting research on the integration of AI in English
language education, I offer the following practical recommendations based on the
research findings:
For Educators:
● Embrace AI Tools: Educators are encouraged to incorporate AI tools
like ChatGPT, QuillBot, and DeepL into their English language lessons. These tools
can provide valuable support in various aspects of language learning, including
grammar correction, vocabulary enhancement, and conversational practice.
● Personalize Learning: Utilize AI's ability to create personalized learning
plans for students. Tailor assignments and exercises to individual needs, levels of
proficiency, and learning styles. This approach fosters a more customized and
effective learning experience.
● Monitor Progress: Regularly track students' progress using AI-generated
data. Assess their performance in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation to identify
areas for improvement and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
● Encourage Communication: Leverage AI tools to facilitate
communication practice. Encourage students to engage in dialogue with AI-based
language models to improve their speaking and listening skills.

supplement your own assessments. Offer students constructive feedback on their
written and spoken language, emphasizing areas that require improvement.

all students, regardless of socioeconomic background. Explore ways to bridge the

In conclusion, the integration of AI in English language education has the
potential to significantly enhance learning outcomes and student engagement. By
following these practical recommendations, educators, educational institutions, and
policymakers can harness the benefits of AI to create more effective and engaging
language learning experiences for students.
Trying to individualize the learning process, we wrote an article about
differentiated instructions with the use of AI which was published in the collection of
articles of the CCCXLIX International Scientific and Practical Conference "Young
Researcher: Challenges and Prospects". To conduct an experiment we chose one
school in Kazakhstan and prepared lessons based on their curriculum. The results of
the practical section showed the following advantages of this technology:

Before conducting a lesson using artificial intelligence, students participated in a


survey to know their knowledge and willingness to use AI. The survey had both close
and open ended questions (figure-18,19).

The results of this survey showed that just over a half of school- learners are
aware of AI, however they had no idea that it can be implemented into learning. (pie
chart-1,2) The interest in implementing AI into the learning process caught their
enthusiasm so there were no students who were not interested in such a new method
of learning English. (pie chart-3) Moreover, the last open-ended question was based
on their own curiosity, related to the integration of AI. Learners asked questions such
as “How can AI help improve learning in school?”, “we will use ai to writing?”, “i
want to speak english good”, so here it is clearly presented that we could catch their
attention and curiosity to improve their skills in English language (figure-20).

We conducted lessons with 5,7 and 8 grade students to compare students’
performances during the lessons of using AI tools in order to improve their English
skills before, and go further with the use of AI out of the classroom.
To clearly see the final results we prepared 2 surveys, one is about integration
of Chat GPT, second is about different AI tools that were used during the lesson.
Also, we asked students to write down their overall experience in the learning process
with AI.
● Survey about Chat GPT: This survey had 7 questions, and 2 of them
are open-ended. Above a half students marked their experience with the Chat GPT
tool as excellent and they found it as a useful tool. [pie chart-4] We hoped to improve
all 4 skills through Chat GPT, and we can see the results that it has mostly worked
well in speaking and writing skills (pie chart-5). The reason is based on the tasks such
as making a dialogue and making up sentences, that help students to feel more
confident in speaking (pie chart-6). The results of this survey clearly shows that
students enjoyed the lessons with the Chat GPT tool and they feel more self-assured
in speaking (figure-21).

rated as extremely effective with 77%, especially in grammar correction and
sentence structure analysis (pie chart-7,8).

To assess the AI’s effectiveness in enhancing academic progress in English


language learning, we can clearly see the impact of AI-integrated lessons improving
language skills and increased motivation in school-learners. As a final step, we asked
participants to write down their overall experience with AI. Below you can see some

Conclusion

In the course of this study, an extensive research effort was undertaken on the
topic of "Integration of artificial intelligence (AI) elements into foreign language
teaching for academic purposes”. The research aimed to explore the potential and
prospects of applying artificial intelligence in the educational sector, as well as to
assess the effectiveness and impact of AI on students' language proficiency and their
interest in learning English.
The following key findings emerged from the study:
The integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process contributes
to the improvement of education quality and effectiveness. The use of AI
technologies such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, and DeepL enables the creation of a
more interactive and personalized learning environment.
Students participating in lessons that utilize AI show greater interest in the
learning process and increased engagement during classes. This leads to deeper and
more productive learning experiences.
Data analysis reveals that AI significantly enhances students' language
proficiency. The knowledge gain ranged from 8% to 12%, indicating substantial
progress in language skills among students.
The implementation of AI in education requires teacher training, the
development of educational materials, and access to relevant technologies.
Future research and developments in the field of AI in education could include
the creation of more advanced and adaptive AI systems, the integration of modern
technologies, and the conduct of broader studies in various educational contexts.
Overall, the results of this study confirm the potential of artificial intelligence
for enhancing education and enriching the learning environment. The integration of
AI into language education can lead to improved language proficiency and increased
interest among students, making this technology a significant tool for the future of
education in Kazakhstan and worldwide.
Based on the research findings, the following practical recommendations are
provided for teachers and educational institutions:
Preparation and training of teachers in the use of AI in education, including
training on relevant software and technologies.
Development of educational materials and courses tailored for use with AI
systems to ensure more effective and interactive learning.
Establishment of accessible and modern educational environments, including
access to high-quality AI resources and programs.
Conducting additional research and data analysis to gain a deeper
understanding of the impact of AI on the educational process and the development of
more effective methods for implementing this technology.
In conclusion, this research demonstrates that the integration of artificial
intelligence into language education holds significant potential for enhancing learning
and fostering students' interest in the subject. Further steps in this direction can make
education more effective and accessible to all students, contributing to higher
achievements in the study of the English language in Kazakhstan.
Prospects:
Further research and developments in the field of AI in education can
encompass the following aspects:
