Note:
1. The rate is inclusive of all taxes, transportation charges of the Motor to and from RWF premesis.
2. The Firm shall ensure satisfactory performance of the repaired & rewound motor in all respects under load
condition.

Explanatory Notes for Schedule of Work:


1. Firm will collect the motor from DG – House section & handed it over to DG – House section after
completion of work.
2. Transport vehicle, tools/tackels required for collection & handing over of motor is in firm's scope. After
repair & rewinding, the motor has to be returned back to the SSE concerned between 09:00 to 17:00hrs on
working days.
3. Firm shall carefully disassemble the motor & remove the defective windings completely.
4. Firm will carry out Cleaning of stator core & slot suitably with compressed air/ mechanical cleaning as
required without damaging the core laminates.
5. After thorough cleaning of stator slots and before starting of rewinding with new coils, RWF engineer in-
charge will inspect the motor at Firm's premesis. Firm has to provide 1 day advance information to arrange
for inspection.
6. Firm will use Class-F dual enamelled electrolytic copper winding wire of reputed make only, confirming to
IS:13730:2014/IEC 60317-13:2010 (reaffirmed 2019) with latest amendments.
7. Released copper coil will be retained by the firm and firm should quote their rate of rewinding after
deducting/considering the scrap value of released copper winding wire of the defective motor being
worked.
8. Firm will also repair the mechanical parts (i.e. end cover, cover sheet, cooling fan, shaft, key way, key etc.)
of motor for smooth & noise free running of motor.
9. After rewinding, firm will varnish the motor & baking it in drying oven.
10. Firm will replace the DE and NDE bearings with new bearings of reputed make only and return the old
bearings to RWF engineer in-charge when handing over the motor.
11. Firm will carry out Dynamic balancing of Rotor, bushing, end shield covers, undercutting and metalizing
jobs, reconditioning of shaft (at bearing locations).
12. Firm will assemble the motor in all respects after completion of work.
13. After complete assembly of motor, RWF engineer in-charge will inspect the motor and witness all the
prescribed tests at Firm's premesis. Firm has to provide 1 day advance information to arrange for
inspection/test witnessing.
14. The motor outer body shall be thoroughly cleaned using Thinner and painted with 2 coats of epoxy paint of
original colour followed by proper surface finishing.
15. The firm shall indemnify RWF against any untoward incident by furnishing suitable indemnity bond, valid
through the contract period. The defective motor shall be issued to the Authorised person of the Firm
against submission of Authorisation Letter.
16. Warranty: The firm shall provide minimum of 6 months warranty from the date of commissioning, load test
and acceptance of motor into service at RWF.

Tests to be conducted at Firm's premesis:

1. IR value test of Motor windings.


2. Motor Windings Resistance test.
3. HV test for 1 min.
4. No Load test.
Note: Test reports of all above mentioned tests shall be submitted to RWF.

Tests to be conducted at RWF premesis:

1. Repaired & rewound motor will be tested on Load at RWF Pump House building in presence of Firm's
Technical representative by connecting it to the PUMP system.
