Let us start our class with the presence of Dear Lord and Father of all, Thank you for
our Lord Jesus Christ. Will you please lead the today. Thank you for looking after our School.

Before we start on our lesson, I want to
teach you a mathematics song. Who wants to
learn a mathematics song? (Students will raise their hands)

Okay, let’s start singing!

LENGTH AND HEIGHT (Students will start singing)

Some are short and some are tall


But how do you measure the size of shape?
Measure from left to right
And that’s the length
Measure from top to bottom
And that’s the height
Blasting off on a space adventure

So, our topic for today is all about Length,
Mass and Volume

Measurement- Measurement is the action


of measuring something.

Length – Length is a measure of distance

Mass- Mass is the amount of matter of


substance that makes up an object

Volume – Volume is the amount of space


occupied by a liquid at rest in the container

1. What are the tools we can use in


measuring?

Length – Ruler, Measuring tape, Metric Scale


Mass – Weighting Scale
Volume – Graduated Cylinder, Breaker
If your teacher, ask you, we need to know your
height and weight so we can determine if you
are healthy for your age, what are the metric
units you need to get?
Kilograms and Centimeter
Can we use our knowledge in measurement
everyday?

Why do we need to study the length, mass


and volume? Yes, Teacher!

Because measuring is a skill that we can use


in our everyday life such as buying food
product in the market and the size of a thing
that I needed to buy.
