1. Show that the set of all matrices of the form[−𝑦 𝑥 ], where x,y∈ 𝑹, the set of
real numbers, is a vector space over R with respect to matrix addition and
scalar multiplication.
2. If a vector space V is the set of all real valued continuous functions over R ,
then show that the set W of solutions of differential equations

6. Show that the set {(4,3,2),(2,1,0),(-1,1,-1)} is basis of 𝑹𝟑 (𝑹).
7. Find the dimension of the vector space V= {(x1, x2……x10): x1+
x2+……+x9=0: xi∈ 𝑹}.
8. Define linear sum and direct sum of vectors.
9. Show that the mapping T: 𝑹𝟑 → 𝑹𝟑 defined by T(x, y, z) =(x, y, 0) is linear
transformation.
10.Define range and null space of a linear transformation.
