I- Define a problem

Learning and grades at the university level are two closely related
concepts in the training and assessment process:

Learning is a process of constantly cultivating and perfecting new

knowledge, experiences, values, perceptions or possessions related to the
synthesis of different information.– College grades are an assessment
system used to measure student learning outcomes in a course or an
entire educational program.

II- Differences in results at university and high school levels

For high school level: The main method is that teachers combine lectures
with questions and answers, sometimes with little discussion and few
presentations in class. Secondary courses provide a comprehensive
education in a variety of subjects and focus on developing basic
knowledge and skills. From 0 to 10 is a common scale that has a great
influence on the assessment of block learning results and general
knowledge.

For University level: Teachers only act as instructors for students.

Teachers search for documents, discuss, research the teacher's assigned
content, answer questions and summarize the subject content. University
courses are often intensive and require students to have a high level of
understanding and critical thinking. The results can influence continued
study at a higher level as well as employment and development
opportunities. Grading is often done using a variety of numerical systems,
such as GPA on a 4.0 scale or letter system.
Due to this change, many students are confused about studying and want
to find an effective way to study. To address the former, here are some
college-level study methods:

Learning pyramid: This is a method widely used by the American Institute

for Educational Research in the 1960s. As a result, we can only remember
5% of what was taught to us but we can remember up to 90% of what we
teach others.
Self-study: This is a method of self-study, research, accumulation of
knowledge and self-training to acquire skills. During this process, students
must pay close attention and form the habit of spending time and space
for self-study during the day. Self-study requires students to combine
note-taking skills, download documents and save them for use. for lessons
or as needed.
Group learning: This is a form of cooperative learning to improve the
quality of each member's learning through friends through the process of

5
exchanging, participating and sharing common learning tasks, so that
learning Progress happens in many ways.

III- Current situation, consequences and urgency of resolution

Through the above issue, it helps students better understand how to study
in a university environment. The importance of qualifications and their
impact on lifelong learning, career development and future opportunities.

1. Current situation of students

Many university students struggle with managing their time effectively.

The demands of coursework, extracurricular activities, part-time jobs, and
social obligations often leave little room for personal time or self-care. As
a result, students may find themselves overwhelmed, constantly rushing
to meet deadlines, and experiencing high levels of stress and anxiety.

2. Consequences of this problem

The consequences of poor time management skills among university

students can be significant. Unmanaged time leads to increased stress
levels, decreased motivation, compromised academic performance,
missed deadlines, and reduced opportunities for personal growth and
development.
Additionally, it can create a cycle of procrastination and ineffective study
habits that persist beyond the university years, impacting future
professional and personal endeavors.

3. Necessity to solve this problem

It is necessary to address the lack of effective time management skills

among university students due to its detrimental effects on their
academic performance and overall well-being. By providing students with
the tools and knowledge to manage their time more efficiently, we can
alleviate stress, enhance productivity, and foster a healthier university
experience. Students who develop strong time management skills are
better equipped to succeed academically and maintain a more balanced
lifestyle.

IV- Solutions

Studying and studying at the college level can become a stressful and
overwhelming problem for many students. Some of the reasons are:
- Pressure to perform: Most members want to maintain or improve
their performance to fulfill personal desires or scholarship
requirements. This can lead to a lot of pressure and stress.
- High Workload: College courses often require a lot of effort and
time investment. Students have to decide between studies, part-
time work and private life.
- Competition: Competition for a job or college causes many students
to worry about their competitiveness based on their performance.

learning.

It may not be realistic: If your study plan is too ambitious or does not
match your abilities, you may feel frustrated and discouraged.

May be subject to change: Study plans may be subject to change due to

objective factors such as course schedule, exam calendar, etc.
7
2. Discuss with your instructor or academic advisor any
difficulties you are having in understanding lectures or
completing assignments.

consultants are people with knowledge and experience in the field of
teaching. They can help students identify the cause of a problem and
find appropriate solutions.

how to complete assignments.

academic advisors is a good way for students to build good relationships
with them. This can help ensure students receive support and help in the
future.

embarrassed when discussing their difficulties with faculty or academic
advisors.

you connect with others. You can join sports clubs or interest groups to
meet people with similar interests.

time and money. You need to make time to exercise or participate in
hobby activities. You may also have to purchase equipment or tools
needed for your sport or hobby.

doesn't match your interests. This can make you feel discouraged and
not want to continue.

May cause injury: Some sports can cause injury. You need to pay
attention to technique and protection when participating in these sports.

4. Try to see a failed lesson as an opportunity to improve.Identify

your weaknesses and work to improve them in the future.
