ABSTRACT
The main objective of Gorya's Poultry Farm's is to ensure the health and well-being of its
poultry stock. In this study, the researchers collected and analyzed data using a
quantitative approach, conducting descriptive surveys with selected individuals in Tanjay
City, Negros Oriental. The study's respondents were classified according to the type of
business they were involved in. Sari-Sari Stores had the highest number of respondents
146, accounting for 68.54. In contrast, the lowest had 22 respondents who identified as
egg wholesalers, accounting for 10.33%. In terms of years of operation, the majority of
respondents 31.92% have been in operation for less than two years, with only 18.78%
having been in operation for ten years or more. The results showed that the majority of
respondents preferred large-sized eggs, with 42.31% purchasing 8 trays per week. The
study also identified the competitive poultry egg suppliers in Tanjay City. Notably,
77.62% of respondents expressed willingness to purchase poultry products from a new
farm. Based on the assumed equal market share, the projected demand for Gorya's
Poultry Farm was calculated, with large-sized egg trays in the highest demand 191 trays
and medium-sized egg trays in the lowest demand 159 trays. In conclusion, With the
increasing demand for poultry products in Tanjay, this business has the potential to thrive
and cater to the needs of the market. The researchers recommend that a feasibility study
be conducted on the proposed business to determine if the existing demand for poultry
farm eggs is large enough to sustain a profitable business venture in the long term.

Chicken eggs are nature's perfect food. The egg white is an excellent natural
source of high-quality protein, which is rich in essential amino acids. The yolk is a source
which not only provide nutritional value but also act pro-health and might prevent heart

which the most important is calcium. Global egg consumption has tripled in the past 40

Chicken eggs have long been recognized as a nutritional powerhouse. With the egg white
containing high-quality protein and the yolk packed with essential nutrients, it's no

Poultry farming had been a part of Philippine agriculture for centuries, with
chickens being raised for eggs. The practice of poultry farming was traditionally small-
scale, with families raising chickens in their backyard for personal consumption.
However, as demand for poultry products increased, commercial poultry farming began
to emerge in the country. According to Cruz, L. (2019), in the 1960s, the government of

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter explains various methodologies that were used in gathering data and
analysis that are relevant to the research. It describes and expounds on the research
Research Design
In this study, the researchers chose to use the Quantitative Method to gather data
and analyze the results. The researchers specifically conducted descriptive surveys among
selected individuals in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental. The chosen method of data
collection was through the use of a Survey Questionnaire. The Survey Questionnaire aims
to gather data on types of businesses, years in operation, weekly egg sales by size,
prevailing egg prices, supplier competitiveness, and willingness to purchase from new
farms to understand the poultry egg market in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental. This allowed
the researchers to collect specific information from the respondents that would assist in
achieving the objectives of the study. By using a structured questionnaire, the researchers
were able to gather quantitative data that could be easily analyzed and interpreted.
Research Respondents
The researchers focused their study on the business establishments that are
involved in buying and selling eggs in12 selected barangays in Tanjay City, Negros
Oriental. This barangay was chosen due to its diverse population. These barangays were
chosen due to the large concentration of retailers and customers. Through the valuable

STATISTICAL TREATMENT OF DATA
In gathering the data and in obtaining the sample size of study, the researchers
first asked for a list of business establishments in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental. Upon
receiving the list, the researchers identified the barangays that had a high population of
establishments involved in the buying and selling of eggs, as well as those with a large
population of potential target customers. After carefully analyzing the data, the
researchers use mean (mean = sum of all values / number of values) was applied in the
statistical treatment of the data to calculate the central tendency) found that 12 barangays
in urban areas stood out as having the most population and a significant number of
business establishments, totaling 472. The researchers used Raosoft as a tool to know the
sample size which is equivalent to 213. Also, in the table provided, researchers listed the
potential target customers. Using the sample size of 213 as divisor, the researchers found
that the use of Raosoft provide similar results. To determine the 165 target customers (as
shown in Table 3), the researchers used question 5, which asked if they were willing to
buy products. 163 people said yes, which equaled 77.62%, and the researchers multiplied
the sample size of 213 by the percentage of those who said yes to get 165, who are our
target customers.

number of establishments with only 18. This indicates that the number of business
establishments serve as basis for supplying the amount of poultry eggs in each barangay.
