SIMPLE ARITHMETICOPERATIONS Solution: Given expression

formulated
Itis a commonneed to simpl1ty the expressions
according to thestatements of the problems related to prac
tical life. To do this, it is essential to follow in sequence the
mathematical operations given by the term, ´BODMAS'.
BODMAS
Each letter of the word BODMAS stands as follows:
B for Bracket
There are four brackets, namely, -i.e., bar, ( ), {} 16 69
and [ ]. They are removed, strictly in the order -,), } 8
and [1.
17 16 9 16 69
O for Of of
2 5 3 8
Dfor Division
Mfor Multiplication 17 16 69
A
for Addition + 2 8
S for Subtraction

The order of various operations in exercises involving

brackets and fractions must be strictly performed accord
ing to the order of the letters of the word BODMAS. 16+1035 17 1051
