The information that you provide to Amazon will be uploaded on to our site and displayed to
customers on the detail page of each product.
As our customers are not able to physically pick up or view products when making a buying
decision it is our goal on Amazon to provide as much information as possible so the customer can
make an informed buying decision. It has been proved time and time again that a good content
page will drive more sales than a page with poor content.
This information is also beneficial as it helps optimise pages for search engines. The more
content you have on a page the more likely it is to achieve a high ranking on the major search
engines and allow more customers to find this detail page.
Please only use the specific flat files for each category.
Your product titles should be provided in a set format. This ensures a consistent naming
convention across Amazon whilst increasing customer shopping experience and increases the
likelihood of sales. If you are listing baby clothing you must list the age group in the title
Branded Products - Brand should always feature first and a brief description Brand (if
applicable)/Model name (if applicable)/Brief description
Unbranded products - DO NOT populate with a brand name. Model name (if applicable)/Model
number (if applicable)
- Please use correct capitalisation in the Title, description and bullet points (i.e. not all
caps or all lower case).
- Titles should not include any details regarding pricing, shipping or company
information in product titles submitted to Amazon. Title should only include
descriptors of the product
Creating variations / accessories relationships
When creating parent/child variations please insure they are configured properly. From the
example below we can draw out some specific points:
- The column parentage declares whether or not a given SKU is the parent or one of
the children.
- The column ParentSku enables the Child to declare the SKU of its Parent.
- The column RelationshipType is only used by the Child and declares what type of
variation relationship is being created.
- The column VariationTheme is used to declare what type of variation is being created.
- The example highlights a variation theme of Size.
Enter up to 5 bullet points to highlight your products key features or benefits. This is an
opportunity to highlight the product features in a way that is marketable to customers. Please
ensure each bullet point is no longer than 15 words in length each.
Use the description to differentiate products from similar products in the same market.
Example:
A bounce and spin toy for babies 12 - 36 months. This fun and lively zebra character
really gets baby moving when baby bounces up and down and spins around on it. 5
energetic songs play and when baby bounces, there's 5 fun SFX that play over the music
to encourage them to keep bouncing. Fun finger activities on the handlebar with 2
'boingy' Gymnastics characters on tall springs that provide lots of visual and tactile fun,
and a great clear roller ball filled with multicolored beads has lights that dance up through
it and will activate the songs if baby just wants to sit and play.
Note: Please do not provide shipping, pricing or company information in the product description
submitted to Amazon.
Note: If you do not provide at least one recommended browse node your items will not be
discoverable on Amazon. You can find a list of recommended browse nodes from seller central
Alternative images such as close up or lifestyle shots must also follow the above requirements
but they do not need to have a white background. We highly encourage you to submit additional
views of your products.
