FRIENDSHIP

Good morning to the honorable judges and teachers .

I am standing here to deliver a speech about The Miracle of


FRIENDSHIP.

Firstly, let me ask all of you , WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP?

Well ,friendship consists of true friends


• that can make you laugh when skies are the darkest,
• cry with you when you are crying and fight with you and a few
minutes later share a soda with you.
• friends that will protect you under any circumstances
• and friends that will make you feel like you are on the top of the
worlD

Have you ever noticed that when a friend is happy you find yourself happy
too, even when it has nothing to do with you? ??????

Friendships begins with no formalities…for some unknown reason we


will be drawn to the other person and as we talk we find that we’ll
probably have many things in common. Friendship could have started
from our childhood, school, work colleagues or even some one we met
standing in a queue!!!!.

A true friend is like a mirror .Do you know why ? ???

It is because they reflect yourself . When I say that, I mean by


emotionally and spiritually. When you are happy ,they are happy
and when you are sad , they are feeling pretty much the same way you
are feeling too.
Friends do not have to be exactly the same, I mean,… friends do have
similarities but they also have their differences. The key to opening up
the world of friendship is not just to focus on the similarities but to
accept each others faults because true friends do not judge each other.

We all know Friends love unconditionally. They do have their little angry
moments from time to time but at the end of the day all is forgiven and
forgotten. True friends are very rare to find but once you have found
them, don’t let them go because not everyone has true friends even
if they are popular and famous. They will stand by you through thick and thin.

There is even an old saying…show me your friends and I will tell you who you
are…..that means…just by looking at our friends, people are able to KNOW your
character. Most often then not, good friends will guarantee a good future and
vice versa. That’s why our parents will always INVESTIGATE our friends first
before allowing us to get close.

There are many situations when one attains success because of their friends. The
friends were the great motivators to achieve success. In teenage years especially,
our solace is always our friends but our parents will be horrified! They are our
best advisors and sometimes our financers too for ice-creams, chocolates and
internet data!

As for me, my friends are the best…They are there every day in school
and if I don’t see them, my day is not happy. My world is complete with
them….they are like the colours of a rainbow that deeply colours me in
many ways.

I hope all of you have great friends around you and spread the shine of
love and smiles all around.

Before I take leave, let me share a short poem with you.


There is a miracle called friendship
That dwells within the heart
And you don’t know how it happens
Or when it even starts
But the happiness it brings you
Always gives a special lift and you realize that
friendship
Is Gods most precious gift.
