18. Two particles A and B start from rest and move for equal time on a straight line. The particle A has

distance?

19. A car travelling at 72 km/h decelerates uniformly at 2 m/s2. Calculate (a) the distance it goes before

20. A car moving with a speed of 40 km/h can be stopped by applying brakes after at least 2m. If the
same car is moving with a speed of 80 km/h, what is the minimum stopping distance?

21. A driver travelling at a speed of 36 kmh–1 sees the light turn red at the intersection. If his reaction
time is 0.6s, and then the car can deaccelerate at 4ms–2, then find the stopping distance of the car.

22. A ball is dropped from a tower. In the last second of its motion it travels a distance of 15 m. Find
the height of the tower. [Take g = 10m/sec2]
