Size: for 6” – 6.5” frogs. (The Frog pattern is from Claire Garland, @dotpebbles on Ravelry)
If you need a bigger size or a smaller size you can use another yarn and needles.
The frog on the photo above is 6.3”.

MATERIALS & TOOLS:

Yarn: Light Fingering Yarn 420 - 450 m/ 100 g, approx. 5-7 g.


Tools: 1 needle 3.25 mm (US 3), 2 DPN or circular needles 3 mm (US 2½); 1 St marker, crochet hook 2 mm,
tapestry needle, scissors.

Gauge 24 x 32 sts in 10 sm (4”) on 3 mm (US 2½) needles.

Abbreviations:

St /sts – Stitch/ stitches CO - cast on


SE - Selvage (edge) St., slip the first St. purl wise, BO – cast(bind) off
purl the last St. Inc/dec – increase/decrease
k – knit M1-L – m1 left leaning (left-slanting) increase
p – purl. M1-R – m1 right leaning (right-slanting) increase
Sl st – slip stitch (crochet) pm/ sm / rm– place / slip / remove marker
PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS

BASICS:

1 x 1 Rib:
1 Row: *k1, p1*; repeat.
2 Row: *p1, k1*, repeat.

Stockinette Stitch (St st):


In rows: Knit on right-side rows, purl on wrong-side rows.

Cast on 33 sts on 1 DPN 3,25 mm (US 3); continue working with DPN 3 mm (US 2½).
1 Row:
cast off 6 sts knit wise, SE, 9 sts 1x1 rib, SE, cast off 5 sts knit wise, SE, 9 sts 1x1 rib (k1, p1), SE.
(______11 sts FRONT______ 11 sts BACK).

Continue working with Back part only.


2 Row: SE, 9 sts 1 x 1 rib, SE. (11 sts)
3 Row: (inc) SE, k1, M1-R, knit to last 2 sts,
M1-L, k1, SE. (13 sts.)
4 Row: SE, purl, SE.
5 – 8 Rows: Repeat Rows 3-4 twice = 4 Rows,
increased 4 sts (17 sts.)
9 Row: SE, knit, SE.
10 Row: SE, purl, SE.
Cut the yarn. (Fig.2)

WS facing rejoin the yarn to 11 sts Front part, continue working with it now.
Repeat 2 - 9 Rows again.
10 Row: (inc) SE, purl, SE, cast on
2 sts (19 sts). (Fig.3)

11 Row: (inc) SE, k18 (the Front part),


cast on 1st, pm, cast on 1 st, k16 (the
Back Part), SE (38 sts).

12 – 16 Rows: Beginning from purl Row, work 5 Rows with Stockinette St.
17 Row: (inc) SE, k19, remove the marker, k1, M1-R, knit to last 2 sts , M1-L, k1, SE (40 sts).
Beginning from purl Row, work 8 Rows with Stockinette St.
Cast off all sts purl wise. Don’t cut the yarn!

With crochet hook make 1 Lace Row for decorating your dress.
RS facing repeat (chain 3, skip 1st and make 1sl stitch in the next st) in every 2 stitches of the bottom
edge. (Fig.6, 7). Cut the yarn. With tapestry needle sew the left side seam and left sundress strap.
(Fig.8). Hide all threads ends.
