INTRODUCTION
THE PLACEMENT CELL of Sri Venkateswara College is well-reputed
within the Delhi University circuit, working relentlessly to make students
of the college corporate-ready.

The Internship Fair, the annual flagship event of the Cell, offers the
students of the college an opportunity to experience corporate work life,
embrace their hobbies and foster holistic development. The seventh
edition was organized on 11th April 2023 with full grit and enthusiasm.

The Fair received an overwhelming response with 680+ registrations and


52 Corporates, NGOs and Start-Ups, including Bajaj Capital, Agile
Capital Services, FinOak and CRY Foundation participating in it. A total
of around 300 offers were extended, making the on-campus Internship
Fair a success.

GUIDELINES FOR CV PREPARATION
The following section contains the guidelines for CV Preparation and Proof Verification
required for CV Standardization which must be adhered to while preparing your CVs.

1. Educational Qualifications

1.1 University Examination Result

The result must be expressed in terms of CGPA and it is computed as follows:


CGPA = Total Credit Points/Total Credits
Round off the result to 2 places of decimal.

A self-attested, scanned copy of the marksheet of the latest semester result.


(Ensure that all previous semester results are included.)

Note:
First-Year students may put in a hyphen ‘-’ in the CGPA column of the Educational Qualifications Table.

1.2 Class XII Result

The result must be expressed in terms of percentage.


It is compulsory to mention the Name of the Board and the Year of Passing.
Board-wise Scheme:

ISC Board:
Percentage must be computed using the marks obtained in English (Language + Literature) and
best 3 out of 4 academic/elective subjects, i.e., subjects must be chosen in accordance with the
highest marks obtained.

All other boards:


Percentage must be computed using the marks obtained in English (Core/Elective) and best 4
academic/elective subjects, i.e., subjects must be chosen in accordance with the highest marks
obtained.

Best of 4 must not be used.

A self-attested, scanned copy of the original Marksheet/Digilocker Marksheet.

1.3 Class X Result

The result must be expressed in terms of percentage.


It is computed using the marks obtained in English and the best 4 academic/elective
subjects, i.e. subjects must be chosen in accordance with the highest marks obtained.
It is compulsory to mention the Name of the Board and the Year of Passing.

A self-attested, scanned copy of the original Marksheet/Digilocker Marksheet.

1.4 Professional Qualifications

In case the student is pursuing or has completed a Professional Course (such as CA, CFA,
Actuaries, etc.) or a Diploma or Degree Course, the same may be mentioned under this head.

A Scanned/Digital copy of the Admission Slip, Fee Slip, Offer Letter, or Result Slip
clearly stating the name of the student.
A Screenshot of the email confirmation received from the official ID of the Institution.

2. Work Experience

2.1 Internships

While mentioning any completed/ongoing internships, it is necessary to mention the profile


title and duration of the internship.

A Scanned/Digital copy of the Letter of Appointment/Certificate of Internship/Letter of


Recommendation.
A Screenshot of the email received from the official ID of the organization.
A Screenshot of the details of the official WhatsApp group formed for the internship.

2.2 Research Papers/Projects

While mentioning any research paper/project undertaken, it is necessary to mention the title
of the paper/project, duration of engagement and under whose supervision it was done (if
applicable).

A Scanned/Digital copy of the Certificate of Completion/Letter of
Recommendation.
A Scanned/Digital copy of the first page of the research paper/project.
A Screenshot of the email sent by the head of the research programme/project.

Note:
The following activities may also be listed under Work Experience and any relevant proof
will be accepted.

Business/Startups

3. Positions of Responsibility

3.1 A College Society/Club/Department (Member/Postholder/Core Team)

A Scanned/Digital copy of the Certificate/Official Letter/Email clearly stating the


name of the student, the position held and the name of the college club/society.
A Screenshot of the official poster released on the club’s/society’s social media
page/website.
A Screenshot of the details of the official WhatsApp group of the club/society.

3.2 School

An Official Photograph/Badge/Certificate from school clearly mentioning the name of


the student and the position held.

3.3 An Organization/NGO

An Email from the official ID of the organization/Official Letter/Bonafide from the


Organization/NGO with the concerned authority’s signature/official stamp of the
organization.

4. Academic Achievements and Awards

4.1 Academic Accolades/ Competitions

A Scanned/Digital Copy of the Certificate clearly stating the name of the student and
position secured/marks obtained.
An Email/Official Letter that incontrovertibly states the academic achievement, with the
concerned authority’s signature/the official stamp.
The name of the student in the list of awardees for the specific achievement on the official
website/social media handles/magazine of the organization which extended the award.

4.2 Scholarships

A copy of the bank statement or passbook showing the amount credited by the
organization.
An Official Letter/Email from the official ID of the institution/organization clearly stating
that such a scholarship has been awarded (with all relevant details).
Bonafide from the concerned institution clearly stating that the student received the
Scholarship.

5. Extra-Curricular Activities

5.1 Co-Curricular Activities

All activities such as Sports/Cultural/Participation in competitions like Mock Stocks etc. which lie
outside the realm of regular academic curriculum may be mentioned under this head.

A Scanned/Digital Copy of the Certificate/Medal/Trophy with all relevant details.

5.2 Add-On Courses

For any Academic, Non-Academic or Language Courses that the student has completed, the
Certificate of Completion/Copy of the Result/Marksheet issued with relevant details
[including the Date of Issuance and the Platform (eg: Coursera, etc., if applicable)].

6. Other Information

6.1 Volunteering Activities/Social Service

All social or voluntary activities such as execution of food drives, blood donation camps,
involvement with NGOs, etc. may be mentioned under this head.
Internship with NGOs must not be mentioned under this head. It must be mentioned
under the head: Work Experience.

Letter of Recommendation/Letter of Appreciation/any other certificate with relevant


details.

6.2 Skills and Interests

Technical skills such as Web Development, Machine Learning, Graphic Design, etc (along
with names of relevant softwares/programming languages)
Personal skills or Soft skills
Interests

PROOFS
All information mentioned in the CV should be supported by relevant proof as mentioned in the
guidelines. Any one of the proofs mentioned in the guidelines for a given point will be sufficient.
The students will be required to upload a single PDF containing proofs for each point and the proofs
corresponding to different points mentioned in the CV must be strictly arranged in the sequence in
which the said point is mentioned in the CV.

For instance: As Education is mentioned first in CV followed by Work Experience, the


PDF of proofs should also contain the Marksheets first, followed by the proofs
corresponding to the points of Work Experience.

Any information which is not supported by concrete proof will not be considered.

PROCEDURE
Step 1: Registration Process

Students are required to fill out the Registration Form for Internship Fair’24. As part of the registration
process, one would be required to upload two files: CV and Proofs.

The files must be in PDF Format only.


The nomenclature is: CV - Full Name_SVC and Proofs - Full Name_SVC_Proofs.
The size limit for the files are: CV - 1 MB and Proofs - 10MB.

In case your file exceeds the specified size limit, please compress it first. (Refer to the Linktree link on
Pg. 8)

Step 2: CV Vetting

Verification of Proofs
A member of the Placement Cell will contact the students via Email/Phone/WhatsApp for verification
of proofs and changes required in the CV, if any.

Stamping of CV
Once the CV and proofs are verified, the Placement Cell will stamp the CV of the students for use in
the Internship Fair’24 and send it to them via email. This will then be considered the Final CV to be
used for the purpose of the Internship Fair.

Step 3: Company Selection Process


Students are required to fill out a form specifying which companies they’d like to apply to in the

Internship Fair. Detailed instructions for this will be shared later.
