SCOUT’S GOT TALENT CONTEST


(GSP Week Celebration)
September 16, 2024

GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. Participants must be a registered girl (senior & cadette).
2. Hip-Hop Dance (for Senior), Tiktok Dance (for Cadette), and Solo Voice (both Senior and
Cadette) are the events to be contested.
3. This is an online competition.
4. Participants must submit their video entries on or before 5:00 pm of September 19, 2024
to Tita Joan D. Sumpay/Tita Marie Joan A. Cortero at the NNHS HUMSS Bldg. 2.
5. Dance Participants are encouraged to wear simple props and costumes that align with the
theme of their performance. Creativity is encouraged but should not require extravagant or
elaborate designs.
6. Exposure of belly is not allowed.
7. Solo Voice participants must wear their official GSP uniform.
8. Any music, choreography, and costumes must be appropriate for a school setting and
respectful of all cultures and communities.
9. Performances that exceed the time limit will be subject to point deductions.
10. Winners for each category will receive a Girl Scout Badge and certificate as their prize on
September 20,2024.
11. All decisions made by the judges are final and irrevocable.

MECHANICS/GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

I.HIP-HOP DANCE (SENIORS)


1. There must be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 members.
2. Appropriate attire/costume must wear by all members. No belly exposure. Removing
pieces of clothing during the performance is permitted provided it is not offensive or
out of character.
3. The dance duration should be a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes,
including the entrance and exit. There will be a 1-point deduction from the total score
for every 5 seconds exceeding the time.
4. The music must not contain inappropriate, lewd, or offensive language.

CRITERIA:
Overall Effect - 30%
Choreography - 30%
Technique Execution - 20%
Attire/Props - 10%
Stage Deportment - 10%
TOTAL 100%

II.TIKTOK DANCE (CADETTE)


1. There must be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 members.
2. The performance must be a minimum of 3 minutes to a maximum of 5 minutes only.
There will be 1 point deduction for every 5 seconds exceeding the time.
3. Choice of music is open.
4. The performer/s can use single, or remix music.
5. Dancers may use costume and props.
6. Exposure of belly is not allowed.
CRITERIA:
Choreography and Style - 25%
Mastery and Originality - 25%
Difficulty of Steps/Synchronization - 20%
Interpretation and clarity of the message of the dance - 20%
Stage presence (deportment/bering/discipline) - 10%
TOTAL 100%

III. SOLO VOICE (Senior & Cadette)


1. The song must be a recognized Original Pilipino Music (OPM).
2. Contestant may use either a minus-one or a live accompaniment (such as guitar
or piano).
3. Must wear their official GSP uniform during the performance.

CRITERIA:
Voice Quality and Technique - 40%
Song Interpretation - 20%
Stage Presence and Confidence - 20%
Overall Impact - 20%
TOTAL 100%
