Why Governance Matters?

(UNESCAP) describe the eight characteristics of good governance. These
characteristics include participation, consensus-oriented, accountability,
transparency, effectiveness and efficiency, responsiveness, equity and
inclusiveness, rule of law

Participation by both men and women is a key cornerstone of good governance.


Participation could be either direct or through legitimate intermediate
