03P© 30-DAY TRIAL INSTALLATION


Create a \PBV6.03P folder on the same computer that will be used for running PBV6.03P©. Extract the files from the
zipped installation package into this folder. The user must have administrator rights to proceed with the installation.
Double click on PBV6.03PRunner.msi to open an interface for installing PBV6.03P© on the user’s computer. You may
receive a “Windows protected your PC” error message stating that “Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an
unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.” Click on “More info”, then click on the
“Run anyway” button to continue with the installation.
The installer will:
• create a “\Program Files (x86)\PAVEST\PBV6.03P” subdirectory containing the files required to run
PBV6.03P©
• install PBV6.03P© within the Windows Start menu and in the “Apps and Features” list
• place a shortcut (PBV6.03PRunner) on the desktop for running PBV6.03P©.
The other files in the installation package are:
• PAVBACK Ver 6.03P Manual.pdf (Operating Guide and Documentation)
• RDT4-07 3-layer Backcalc Data.dat (example data file)
• RDT4-07 3-layer Backcalc Data.up (example setup data file)
• RDT4-07 3-layer Backcalc.csv (example of multi-layer backcalc results using no Analysis Options)
• RDT4-07 3-layer Backcalc_S_I.csv (example of multi-layer backcalc results using the S and I Analysis Options)
• RDT4-07 3-layer Backcalc_S_I_C.csv (example of multi-layer backcalc results using the S, I and C Analysis
Options)
• RDT4-07 Backcalc Option Results.xlsx spreadsheet summarizing the above results.
• RDT4-07 3-Layer Backcalc Metric Data.dat (example metric data file)
• RDT4-07 3-Layer Backcalc Metric Data.up (example metric setup data file)
• RDT4-07 3-Layer Metric Backcalc_S_I.csv (example of metric backcalc results using the S and I Analysis
Options)
Note that each of the RDT4-07 backcalc results (*.csv file) also generates a *-Run.log file indicating that at test number
33 the deflection at sensor 8 was non-descending.
PAVBACK™ 6.03P© QUICK START
Double click on the PBV6.03PRunner desktop icon that will open the interface shown below for the 30-day trial period.

The 30-day trial period starts upon the installation of PBV6.03P©. Note that the interface displays the number of days
remaining in the trial period. Click on the Continue button to launch the PAVBACK™ Program menu. After the program
menu opens:
• Click on the button with the 3 dots at the right side of Data File box to navigate to and open the “RDT4-07
Backcalc Data.dat” file.
• Do the same to navigate to and open the “RDT4-07 Backcalc Data.up” setup file.
• Do the same to navigate to the “RDT4-07 3-layer Backcalc_S_I.csv” output file but rename the output file as
“RDT4-07 3-layer Backcalc_S_I_test.csv” so that the original output file is not over-written.
At this point, all setup data should be displayed in the interface.
• Next click on the “S” and “I” boxes at the bottom of the interface to activate these analysis options.
• Then click on the “Run” button to run the analysis.
The screen shown above will again be displayed, so click on the “Continue” button to complete the analysis.
Upon completion, the command prompt window will be displayed if messages are present in a run log file as is the case
for the RDT4-07 backcalc results since non-descending deflection was detected at sensor 8 in test number 33. Compare
the “RDT4-07 3-layer Backcalc_S_I_test.csv” results against the “RDT4-07 3-layer Backcalc_S_I.csv” results to confirm
that the analysis ran successfully.
The interfaces related to the 30-day trial period will not be displayed after purchase of the software license.
