PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


Position Title : Associate Software Engineer – OpenText – 2024.10
Department : Application Shared Services
Division : Collaboration Tool
Location : Bangalore, India
Immediate Supervisor : Manager, Collaboration Tool
Direct Reports : NA

PURPOSE/GENERAL SUMMARY:

The OpenText xECM for SAP Solutions Specialist will be responsible for the administration, configuration,
and development of xECM for SAP Solutions and related components. The ideal candidate will have
substantial experience in managing ECM suite applications, conducting upgrades, and implementing
solutions within the SAP environment. They will work independently, providing expert-level support and
ensuring high-quality outcomes in all projects.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Assist in the design and development of applications and modules within OpenText Content Server.
 Customize existing workflows and templates to meet client requirements.
 Work on integrating OpenText Content Server with other enterprise systems.
 Collaborate with team members to implement APIs and web services.
 Debug and resolve issues reported by users or identified during testing.
 Maintain clear documentation of code, development processes, and user manuals.
 Create technical specifications for new features and enhancements.
 Identify risks and issues in business processes and systems.
 Work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements
and provide technical input
 Identify and analyze business processes to be improved.
 Responsible for process assessments, and process design and redesign.
 Stay updated with the latest features and updates in OpenText Content Server.
 Engage in continuous learning through training, workshops, and self-study
 Provide technical support for existing applications and resolve issues as they arise.
 Assist in maintaining system performance and scalability.

Business Strategy
 Possess deep functional knowledge & expertise to coach & guide associates to utilizing the
OpenText products
 Identify & develop new business process to narrow down the process.

Change Management
• Should have experience or knowledge on supporting and change management.

 Work closely with the respective teams. Collaborate and build strong relationship with functional
teams to ensure required support for coaching, streamlining and enhancement of processes.
 Work with cross regional partners
 Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence team members

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Qualification & Job Experience)

Education & Skill


• Graduate from a recognized establishment in any discipline.
• Proficiency in OpenText products
• OpenText Content Server, Archive Center knowledge good to have

Work Expérience :
• 0-2 years of business process experience
• Effective communicator, able to speak to audiences throughout the organization and
ability to articulate difficult ideas and concepts through clear and concise verbal and/or
written communication
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Aptitude for learning new technologies available
