PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


Position Title : Software Engineer – OpenText – 2024.10
Department : Application Shared Services
Division : Collaboration Tool
Location : Bangalore, India
Immediate Supervisor : Manager, Collaboration Tool
Direct Reports : NA

PURPOSE/GENERAL SUMMARY:

An OpenText Content Server Application Consultant is responsible for the technical delivery of the CS
(Content Server) Platform based solutions. This role has a heavy deployment and administration emphasis,
combined with the consultation skills required to promote the impression of quality and excellence actively
fostered within the Customer Solutions Group

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Hands on experience on Archive Server/Content Server/xECM installation and configuration


 Should have experience in working in 23.x
 Good experience and knowledge on Configuration and Administration/Troubleshooting of
OpenText Components.
 Experience in OpenText-Content Server design, development, upgrade, migrate, performance
tuning, administration, and support.
 Functional knowledge of how and where xECM can be leveraged across the different client
landscapes, in particular experience of integration
 Knowledge of OpenText Content Server and corresponding modules for xECM
 Should have clear understanding of content server module development and Standard practices
for core customization.
 Strong development experience on the OpenText Content Server platform (using Content Server
Web Services, REST APIs)
 Should have experience in Content Server, WebReports, livereports, forms, workflows, SDK
 Good administration experience on Apache Tomcat and IIS
 Experience on Content Server Upgrade and Migration will be an added advantage.
 Knowledge on OpenText Core Share would be an added advantage.
 Strong on database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data modelling.

 Possess deep functional knowledge & expertise to coach & guide associates to utilizing the
OpenText products
 Identify & develop new business process to narrow down the process.

Change Management
• Should have experience on supporting and change management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Qualification & Job Experience)

Education & Skill


• Graduate from a recognized establishment in any discipline.
• Proficiency in OpenText products
• Should have experience on OpenText Content Server, Archive Center and good to have knowledge
on OpenText Core Share

Work Expérience :
• 2-5 years of business process experience
• Effective communicator, able to speak to audiences throughout the organization and
ability to articulate difficult ideas and concepts through clear and concise verbal and/or
written communication
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Aptitude for learning new technologies available
