GUIDING PRINCIPLES

The Commission on Higher Education is mandated to develop and promote policies, systems, procedures
and programs that address globalization, changing policies, and liberalization of trade in goods and
services. CHED shall require student exchange and establishment by the University of Southeastern
Philippines of string academic linkages with business and industry to promote and provide students with
competitive skills and attitudes for employments.

OBJECTIVES

The program aims to:

1. Provide tertiary students enrolled in the University of Southeastern Philippines the opportunity to
acquire practical knowledge, skills and desirable attitudes and values in reputable
establishment/industries in our country;
2. Enhance the students’ work competencies and discipline as they relate to people in the workplace.
3. Promote competitiveness of students through their training;
4. Strengthen and enrich the degree programs in USeP;
5. Handle new challenges and complex tasks or problems; and
6. Identify future career directions and become candidates for future job opening.

Host Training Establishments (HTEs)

1. HTE must be licensed and registered institutions/establishments in the Philippines. They must
provide appropriate training program for the student’s trainee and must follow the Training
Manual or Plan; and
2. HTE must follow the evaluation system of students’ performance provided by the USeP.
SUPERVISED INDUSTRIAL TRAINING 1 (SIT 1)

Curriculum : BACHELOR OF TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL TEACHER EDUCATION

TRAINING PLAN

Major Concept:

The training plan outlines plan of progressive experiences and learning activities based on
the course syllabus/occupational analysis task inventory intended for use during the student’s On-
The-Job Training. It serves as a schedule or step-by-step plan for training to be used by (1) the
employer/job supervisor to aid planning on-the-job performance of students/trainees, (2) the
industrial Linkages Officer (ILO) or area-coordinator to aide in the follow-up and observation of on-
the-job activities of students/trainees, and (3) the student/trainee to project his progress in the
achievement of required competencies in his on-the-job training.
The on-the-job training components of the curriculum, identified as Supervised Industrial
Training 1, enhances the preparation of students for employment as Residential Electrician,
Commercial Electrician, and Industrial Electrician; and as entrepreneurs in related field of the
occupational domain.

AREA 1: COMPUTER HARDWARE AND NETWORK TECHNICIAN
