PATTERN CROCHET BOBBLE STITCH PILLOW

Hello!

Thank you for downloading this fun and easy to make pattern! Below you will find all information you
need to make this pillow. In this document you will find instructions in US terms, UK terms and
Dutch. This page is also translated in Dutch at the end of this document. Just scroll down to find the
language you prefer.

What materials do you need to make this pillow?

- The pillow on the picture above was made with MillaMia Natural Soft Aran. I used the color
Marine Blue (20) for the front and color Stone (202) for the back. You can find this yarn here:

I used a crochet hook size 4mm. You can use any other yarn you like ofcourse.
- The pillow I used is 45 x 45 cm.
- For the front of the pillow I used 4 balls , for the back of the pillow I used 3 balls. I needed
less balls for the back because I didn't make any bobbles on the back of the pillow. If you
want both sides to have bobbles, you need 2 x 4 balls for a pillow size 45 x 45.
- A bobble stitch goes like this (do all steps in the same stitch)
1. Yarn over, hook in stitch, yarn over, pull yarn through stitch, yarn over, pull yarn through
first two loops (you now have two loops on your hook)
2. Repeat 1. You now have three loops on your hook
3. Repeat 1. You now have four loops on your hook
4. Repeat 1. You now have five loops on your hook
5. Repeat 1. You now have six loops on your hook
6. Yarn over, pull yarn through all loops on your hook.
Your bobble stitch is done.
− On the side where you make the bobbles: count the stitches at the end of each row. A
mistake is made easily when you use the bobble stitch, so I suggest you count and count and
count. :-)

The front of the pillow

Turn after every row.
1. Chain 64 + 3.
2. Do 1 double crochet in the 3rd stitch from hook, so in chain 64. Do 1 double crochet in all
other stitches. (65)
3. Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet), 1 double crochet in all other stitches. (65)
4. Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet), 1 double crochet in all other stitches. (65)
5. Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet), 1 double crochet in all other stitches. (65)
6. Chain 3 (counts as 1 double crochet), 1 double crochet in the next four stitches, 1 bobble
stitch, * do 1 double crochet in the next five stitches, 1 bobble stitch. *
Repeat what's in between * until you've reached the end of this row. (65)
7. Repeat rows 3-6 until the front has the right size.

The back of the pillow

Turn after every row.
1. Chain 64 + 3.

4. Repeat row 3 until your the back of the pillow has the same amount of rows as the front. (65)

How to assemble
Place both sides on top of each other with the right sides facing outside. Attach yarn in a corner.
Along the side: do 2 single crochet stitches in all double crochet stitches at the end of all rows. Do
single crochet stitches in all stitches of the top and the bottom row. In all corners you do 1 chain
stitch.
You can also leave one side open and attach buttons on one side. You don't need button holes, you
can use the openings in between two double crochet stitches as button holes.

Dankjewel voor het downloaden van dit leuke en eenvoudig te maken patroon! Hieronder vind je alle
informatie die je nodig hebt om dit kussen te maken. Hierboven heb je al de uitleg in VS steken en UK
steken zien staan, hier volgt de Nederlandse uitleg.

Welke materialen heb je nodig om dit patroon te maken?

- Het kussen van de foto bovenaan is gemaakt met MillaMia Natural Soft Aran. Ik gebruikte de
kleuren Marine Blue (20) voor de voorkant en de kleur Stone (202) voor de achterkant. Je

Ik gebruikte een haaknaald 4mm.
Je kunt overigens elk garen gebruiken wat je fijn vindt.
- Ik gebruikte een kussen van 45 x 45 cm.
- Voor de voorkant had ik vier bollen nodig, voor de achterkant drie. Dat komt omdat ik aan de
achterkant geen bobbelsteken heb gehaakt. Als je aan beide kanten bobbelsteken wilt
hebben, dan heb je twee keer vier bollen nodig voor een kussen van 45 x 45 cm.
- Een bobbelsteek haak je zo (alle stapjes hieronder doe je in dezelfde steek)
1. Sla de draad om je naald, steek de naald in de eerstvolgende steek, sla de draad weer om de naald,
trek de draad omhoog door de steek, sla de draad om de naald, trek de draad omhoog door de
eerste twee lusjes op je naald (er zitten nu nog twee lusjes op je naald).
2. Herhaal rij 1. Er zitten nu nog drie lusjes op je naald.
3. Herhaal rij 1. Er zitten nu nog vier lusjes op je naald.
4. Herhaal rij 1. Er zitten nu nog vijf lusjes op je naald.
5. Herhaal rij 1. Er zitten nu nog zes lusjes op je naald.
6. Sla de draad om de naald, trek de draad omhoog door alle lussen op je naald. Je hebt nu een
bobbelsteek gehaakt.
− Het is belangrijk dat je aan het einde van elke toer telt of je nog steeds hetzelfde aantal
steken hebt als de rij ervoor. Een foutje is (vooral als je bobbels haakt) heel snel gemaakt,
dus ik adviseer je om echt vaak te tellen.

De voorkant van het kussen

Keer je werk na elke toer.
1. Haak 64 + 3 lossen.
2. Haak 1 stokje in de derde steek vanaf de naald, dus in losse 64. Haak 1 stokje in alle andere lossen.

4. Herhaal rij 3 tot je kussen dezelfde hoeveelheid toeren heeft als de voorkant. (65)

Hoe zet je het kussen in elkaar

Let de twee helften op elkaar met de goede kanten naar buiten. Hecht in een hoek het garen aan.
Langs de zijkant haak je in elk stokje 2 vasten. Dus in de buitenste stokjes van elke toer. In de boven-
en de onderkant haak je 1 vaste in elke steek. In alle hoeken haak je 1 losse. Je kunt er ook voor
kiezen om een kant open te laten. Naai dan knoopjes aan de ene kant, en gebruik de openingen
tussen de stokjes als knoopsgaatjes. Je hoeft niet aparte knoopsgaatjes te haken.
