Supply List
● Fabric ● Needle & Thread or Sewing
● ⅛ Elastic Machine
● Fabric Scissors ● Tapestry/Blunt Needle &
● Paper Scissors Thread
● Pins ● Doll for sizing
● Iron ● Ruler
● Marking Pen or Chalk

Instructions:
Step 1:
Print out pattern, cut desired seam allowance.
Using the pattern pin/trace the pattern to your fabric and cut the fabric.
Step 2:
Fray check pieces as needed. This is a preventative measure to protect
the fabric while you are handling it from unraveling.
Sew along ONE curve.
(Clip thread ends, clip curves, iron seam.)
Step 3:
[Measure ½ inch from edge and mark the wrong side of fabric. Fold the
edge of the fabric to the line, iron. Fold fabric again at the mark line,
iron.]
Repeat for the waist and legs. Marked on pattern.
Step 4:
Sew down casing folds as close to the fold edge as possible.
OPTIONAL : Add trim or embellishments to the bloomers.
(Clip thread ends)
Step 5:
Measure elastic against the doll at the waist and the legs. You can use
the unfinished bloomers to help you find where to measure on your doll.
Cut 1 waist piece.

Cut 2 leg pieces.
Step 6:
[Using a tapestry needle, thread one end of the elastic and pull it
through the casing. Pin elastic to the end before it disappears into the
casing. Continue to pull through until reaching the other end of the
casing and pin elastic end in place. Cut the thread free of the elastic.]
Repeat for the waist and leg casings.
Step 7:
Tack or baste down the elastic and sew down the REMAINING curve.
Tacking/basting makes it easier to sew, pins may prick you or fight your
sewing machine.
Remove basting stitch.
(Clip thread ends, clip curves, iron seam.)
Step 8:
Fold the bloomers down flat down the middle, both seams should be
touching. Baste or tack the leg elastic in place. Sew the inseam (marked 8 on
pattern) closed.
Remove basting stitch.
Step 9:
Clip any remaining corners/curves, clip thread ends, trim down seam
allowance if desired.
Turn inside out.

Finished!

***** This is a general pattern. This pattern will work for many 1:6 dolls.
Disney Descendants, Standard Barbies, Monster High Dolls have been tested
and will fit without modding width. Length will have to be modded as desired.
Please watch the follow along video for tips on how to modify your pattern to
be as long or as short as you need. (Modesty bloomers are short and meant
for use as doll underthings.) (Regular bloomers were marked with the line
used to shorten them in the video.)
