Request for participation as an informant in PhD research on topic "Eco-

scenography and eco-creativity"?


This is a request asking you to participate in a research project on a PhD-level, aiming to look at the relationship between creativity and
ecological sustainability. In this letter you get information about the goals for the research and what participation will involve for you.
Objectives "Eco-scenography and Eco-creativity" The main objective of research to PhD fellow Janne Robberstad at Western Norway
University of Applied Sciences (HVL) is to see how an ecological sustainability aspect influences the creativity of a design/creation process.
By including the concept of environmental sustainability (in addition to form, function and aesthetics), will it limit or liberate the creative
process of the creator? The overall goal of the research is to research finding ways to make good design/production of high artistic quality
in educational settings, without destroying the planet. The research is primarily set in the context international research-projects within
education, such as the Global Science Opera. The responsible institution for the research project is Western Norway University of Applied
Sciences, campus Stord, Norway (HVL). The questionnaire is developed in collaboration with the National Research Council of Italy to allow
comparison with other data previously collected together within the European project GSO4SCHOOL.

Why do you get a question about participating? You will be asked to participate due to your participation in/association with the Global
Science Opera initiative. Your experience may be valuable for the research of eco-creativity.

What does participation implicate for you? You will be asked to answer some questions related to creativity and sustainability, and the
production-process. Replies will be registered and stored electronically, but anonymized.

It is voluntary to participate. It is voluntary to participate in the research. If you would like to attend, you can at any time withdraw your
consent without giving any reason. All information about you will then be anonymized. It will not have any negative consequences for you
if you do not want to attend or later to pull out.

Your Privacy - Your information Hosted and Used. Information about and from you will only be used in accordance with the research
depicted in this letter. All information is handled confidential and in accordance with the privacy policy. • Only the researchers and the
supervisors associated with the project will have access to material. • All data will be stored on a memory card locked in the office of the
HVL. Your name and contact details will be replaced by a code stored on a separated list from the empirical, written data. • All potential
information shared with external will be anonymized.

What happens to your information when the research project is over? PhD research is scheduled to end in 2025. After this, all personal
information will be anonymized and deleted.

Your rights As long as you can be identified in the data material, you are entitled to: • Inspections of personal information that is registered
about you • Correct personal information about yourself • Get deleted personal information about yourself • Get a copy of your personal
information (data portability), and • To send a complaint to the privacy or data protection authority regarding the processing of your
personal information.

What gives us the right to deal with personal information about you? All information about you is based on your consent. On behalf of
Western Norway University of Applied Sciences campus Stord, NSD - Norwegian Center for Research Data AS/SIKT has considered that the
collection of personal data in this project is in accordance with the privacy policy.
