PRO/II Cleopatra Interface

Overview
PRO/II Process Engineering Cleopat ra Interfac e gives you the capability to create a cost report that can
be imported into Cleopatra cost estimation tool. Cleopatra estimation tool uses this interface to come up
with the costs of various equipment present in the flowsheet.

Accessing PRO/II -> Cleopatra Interface

You can open the PRO/ II Process Engineering Cleopatra Int erface application from the S IMSCI Pro/II
Process Engineering installation folder.
To access the Pro/II Process Engineering -> Cleopatra excel application
1. From the start menu, click to expand the SIMSCI PROII Process Engineering folder and then click
PROII Proce ss Engineering ± Cleopatra Interface.

Creating Cost Estimation Using PRO/II Simulation

Make sure you follow the steps mentioned here to create Cleopat ra Excel interfac e from PRO/II Process
Engineering.
To create cost estimation
1. Open the PRO/II Proce ss Engineering application and then converge Simulation and select Cost
Estimation Report to generate the report from the Output tab.

2. Start the PRO/II-Cleopatra Interface. For more information, refer to Accessing PRO/II -> Cleopatra
Interface.

3. Click the Data Import worksheet and then from the PRO/II -> Cleopatra tab, click the Import File

4. Browse to the location to select the excel report generated in Step 1. Once the data import is
completed, the following message appears indicating import of all the Units/Streams data available
in excel report.

5. For each Unit Type, click the cell and then click the Select Cost Models option in the Manage
Simulation Files group. The Select Cost Model Name dialog box appears with available cost
models for the corresponding Unit as shown below.

6. Select one of the cost models. Once a cost model is selected for one unit, another cost model name
window appears corres ponding to the next available Units/Streams. Complete selecting the cost
model name for all available/required Units/Streams. Use the Skip option to skip the selection for
that unit/stream, or the Unit Quit option to complete selection of cost model names.
7. After completing the cost model names selection, go to the cell unit type of each unit and then click
the Transfer to Cost Models option in the Manage Simulation Files group to transfer the data from
SimReport to corresponding Unit Operation cost sheet.

Similarly, transfer data for all the required units/streams. And save the . xls file. Once the data for all
Units are complete, a confirmation message appears as shown in the following screenshot. This
operation will also create data sheets for equipment for which required data is supplied.

8. After the import of Unit Op Data, you must go to the Unit in the corresponding Equipment tab, and
review the values as required. Make sure that all the paramet ers are valid, especially the numerical
values should fall within the appropriat e range.
9. The data that is required for a cost model is indicated in blue. Make sure that this data is supplied and
within an acceptable range. Any missing data must be ent ered manually. If any dat a is changed
