Installation Scope
Se le cting the installation scope .
Be side s the standard se le cte d functions you can select other functions for the installation.
Click on the icon in front of the re spe ctive entry. Then se le ct "Will be installed on local hard drive" from the menu that
displays.
For installe d functions, the re spe ctive re quire d hard disk space displays.
The following functions are offered for installation:
Function De scription
Ne twork Server CodeMeter licenses can be used from other computers. Port 22350 is used for TCP communication
(optional) and is entered in the Windows firewall.
During installation it can be de cide d whe ther CodeMeter License Server is se t up as a server in a
network environment and the associated TCP port 22350 is used. In the default case, CodeMeter
License Server is only available locally (local host).
This function can be selected in the installer and changed at any time by calling the installer again.
Alternative ly after the installation this is also possible via:
· CodeMeter WebAdmin
The "Settings | Server | Server Access" page allows for setting up CodeMeter in server environments
including ports.
· Profiling (re gistry-entry)
In the General se ction IsNetworkServer allows to se t whe ther CodeMeter License Server runs
as a network server in the network or not.
Please note , change s will only take e ffe ct when the CodeMeter License Server service is re starte d.
This can be done via the Windows Services Management or in CodeMeter Control Center via the
navigation entry "Action".
WibuShe llExtension This feature installs the WibuShellExtension DLL.
Library, which associate s certain file e xtensions with CodeMeter and adds conte xt menu commands
to Windows Explorer.

The user help for the CodeMeter Runtime Kit is installed.
Automatic server search For re sponse s to a broadcast, port 22350 is use d on the ne twork client and server for UPD
communication and entere d in the Windows firewall.
In addition, an automatic search of ne twork servers is se t as standard during installation. This is
implemente d by a broadcast via UDP (User Datagram Protocol) (it is only 'listene d' during the server
search until the end of the UDP wait time is reache d) and the re lease of the associate d UDP port
22350 for communication in the Windows Firewall.
Remote acce ss to CodeMeter WebAdmin can optionally be set to allow remote access from other computers. Depending
We bAdmin on the se le cte d protocol, port 22352 or 22353 are use d for TCP communication. This make s
(optional) CodeMeter WebAdmin visible on the network and access can be allowed and set up.
In the de fault case , the port 22352 is use d for HTTP / TCP communication.
In the installer this function can be se le cte d and change d at any time by calling the installer again.

· CodeMeter WebAdmin
The page "Settings | Server | Server Access" allows for setting up CodeMeter in server environments
including ports.
The page "Settings | Basic | WebAdmin" allows settings that control local or remote access to
CodeMeter WebAdmin, select the desired protocol (HTTP or HTTPS), and specify any required
authentication data.
· Profiling (server.ini entry)
The CmWebAdmin service reads values from the CodeMeter service at startup. Among others also
the parame ter RemoteRead from the server.ini file . If you make change s, both service s must
be stoppe d be fore and re starte d after the change s.
Please procee d as follows:
1. Stop the service s:
CodeMeter service (service managent or via "CodeMeter Control Center | Action ").
CmWebAdmin service (service management).
2. Open the re gistry. Pre ss key combination [Windows] + [R] to open the dialog "Run ".
3. Type command regedit and confirm using [Enter].
4. Search for value [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WIBU-
SYSTEMS\CodeMeter\Server\CurrentVersion].
5. Se t parame ter in se ction [HTTP] RemoteRead to a value of 2 and save .
6. Re start the service s:
CodeMeter service (service managent or via "CodeMeter Control Center | Action ").

Installing
Confirm your se le ction by clicking "Next" and on the ne xt page click "Install".
Change s to the se se ttings can be made by calling up the installation package again. In the subse quent dialog, a change
installation is then possible via the "Change" button.
After confirming that you want to allow change s to your computer by the installation, the CodeMeter Runtime Kit will be installe d
and on the last page you confirm this by clicking on "Finish".

2.1.1 Uninstalling on 32/64-bit Windows
1. Se le ct the "Software" option in the Windows System control start menu item.
2. Se le ct the "CodeMeter Runtime Kit" item and the "Remove" option
All CodeMeter file s as part of an installations package and re gistry entrie s are de le te d. Only the log and backup dire ctorie s
remain.
This installs CodeMeter Runtime with the default settings on your computer.

2. Open the file com.wibu.CodeMeter.Server.ini locate d at /Libray/Preferences in an e dito r.
2. Double -click the program CmUninstall.mpkg and follo w the instructio ns of the wiz ard.
Alternative ly, in the command line enter the following command: $ sudo installer -
pkg /Volumes/CmRuntimeUser/CmUninstall.mpkg -target. Please note that path specification may vary.
