DISTRICT ORIENTATION ON PROJECT LETRA

(Language Enhancement Through Reading Assessment)

[Opening]

"Good morning everyone! Welcome to our District Orientation on Project LETRA (Language Enhancement
Through Reading Assessment)! We’re thrilled to see so many eager faces here today, ready to embark on
this exciting journey into the world of reading. My name is Glydel from Dulop National High School and
I’ll be your host for today’s session.

My respect to our dignitaries (present today)…

Today, we’re not just celebrating the joy of reading; we’re also building a community that values
knowledge, imagination, and discovery. I hope you’re as excited as I am as we dive into the realm of Project
LETRA! For years, Secondary has been using Phil-IRI as an assessment to our high school learners wherein
we just find a fit in this assessment designed purposefully for elementary learners. But now, Project LETRA
is here to rescue us! Though this is not a replacement for Phil-IRI, this may be a supplementary initiative as
our Division is currently boiling something as great as Project LETRA!

Without any ado, let us all rise and give our respect to our Philippine Flag as we sing the National Anthem
and remain standing as we come together in a moment of humility for a solemn prayer.

Please be seated!

Welcome Remarks

A little hint about … Project LETRA (Language Enhancement Through Reading Assessment) is an
initiative designed to improve language skills and literacy through targeted reading assessments and
activities. This project focuses on identifying individual reading levels and language proficiency to provide
personalized support and resources.

To kick things off, I’d like to call in the Reading Coordinator of Dumingag NHS, Ma’am Mary Jane L.
Tadlas for the Welcome Remarks. The floor is your mam 😊

Thank you mam.

Statement of Purpose

As we continue, it’s important to take a moment to reflect on why we are all gathered here today.
Understanding our purpose will help us make the most of this experience. I’d like to invite here on
stage/front Dr. Judey R. Dela Cruz, our District Reading Coordinator, to share the statement of purpose in
our convergence today. A hand please.

Thank you mam Judey for outlining our purpose today!

Presentation of Participants

Now, it’s time to get to know the amazing individuals who are joining us for this Project LETRA
Orientation. To help us with this, I’d like to call in the Filipino District Coordinator, Sir Rey Fernandez to
introduce our participants.

"Thank you, Sir Rey for that wonderful introduction to our participants! It’s truly inspiring to see such a
diverse and enthusiastic group here today.
Orientation Proper

We are down to our orientation proper. It’s time to introduce the wonderful facilitators who will be guiding
us through today’s convergence. These individuals are passionate about reading and are here to support us in
our journey. They will lead the orientation and help answer any questions that you may have.

Let’s give a warm welcome to our distinguished facilitators:

Starting with our Secondary District Reading Coordinator in English, Ma’am Joy E. Quaimco, she will be
giving us the Overview of Project LETRA along with familiarizing us with the Forms 1-5 of LETRA in
English which are very essential to our work as reading advocates which will be waving at us as we are back
to each of our station. So good luck to us :D

She will be followed by Ma’am Grezellyn Estrera. Ma’am Estrera will discussed to us Forms 1-5 of LETRA
in Filipino.

Our next Facis will discuss LETRA tools and how to administer the LETRA assessment both in English and
Filipino. This is the most crucial part of our orientation today so do not hesitate to take note of every
detail :D. Our facilitator in English LETRA tools will be Sir Al Nino Duerme of Dumingag SHS and in
Filipino LETRA Tools will be Sir Rey Fernandez of Dumingag NHS.

Each of them brings unique expertise and energy, so we’re in great hands!

Now, without further ado, let’s get started with our first segment: the Overview of Project LETRA to be
facilitated by Mam Joy. A round of applause please.

"Wow! What an engaging session that was! Thank you to our fantastic facilitators for the insights shared
today which we will be bringing home with us in our work stations. Your passion for reading and dedication
to helping others in this endeavor is truly remarkable.

Let’s give a big round of applause to:

 [Facilitators’ Name]

Thank you for sharing your expertise and creating such an encouraging environment for everyone. We truly
appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into making this orientation a success.

As we wrap up, I want to remind you to stay connected with us through our group chat for any questions and
updates relating to reading reports and programs.
"Thank you all for being here today! I can’t wait to see how we grow together through our love of reading.
Let embrace Project LETRA with an open arms, and let’s make this a fantastic experience together! Thank
you and have a wonderful day ahead.
