Exercise 1 – Identifying Transitive and Intransitive Verbs

Let's start with an exercise to identify transitive and intransitive verbs. Read through each
sentence and determine whether the verb is transitive or intransitive.

1. I enjoy listening to pop music.

2. Paris is the capital of France.

3. Adele is a popular singer.

4. John built a treehouse for his son.

5. I had pancakes for breakfast.
