checked.
The assessment package contains the Attendance Sheet, Accomplished
Application Form and Self-assessment Guide (SAG), Specific
Instructions, Rating Sheets, written test, Assessor’s Guide and the
Competency Assessment Result Summary (CARS) and Signed
consent form and performance evaluation instrument

Ma’am/Sir, I am now ready to conduct the competency assessment
demonstration.
3. ORIENTATION
I would like to welcome you all candidates, to our center for your assessment
for BREAD AND PASTRY PRODUCTION NC II,
CONTENT OF ASSESSMENT
Today, I am going to administer competency assessment for BREAD AND
PASTRY PRODUCTION NC II. This qualification is composed of basic,
common, and core competencies. For the core competencies, we have the
following:
1. Prepare and produce bakery products
2. Prepare and produce pastry products
3. Prepare and present gateaux, tortes, and cakes
4. Prepare and display petits fours
5. Present desserts
These are the competencies covered to be assessed during the assessment
proper. We will collect evidence through written tests, demonstration, and
oral questioning.
Of course, the purpose of this assessment is to measure your underpinning
knowledge and skills for BPP NC II. And the method we will use will be written
tests with a 75% passing score and 1-hour time to answer, demonstration
with an allotted time of 5 hours, and oral questioning.
For your personal needs, the CR is located outside, in front of our
assessment center, and you can also take your meal outside at the waiting
area. However, during the assessment, you are not allowed to leave the
premises of the assessment center.
If you have difficulty understanding the given instruction, please do not
hesitate to inform me because I am willing to translate it for you. Also, during
the written examination if you have a problem in writing down your answers,
don’t be shy because we can accept your answers verbally.
ROLE OF THE ASSESSOR
Now, my role as your assessor is assign the assessment activities to you,
then to observe, record, and collect evidences base on your
performances and to validate the assessment results.
DO’S AND DON’TS DURING THE ASSESSMENT
Candidates are encouraged to raise any concerns, questions, or requests for
clarification regarding the assessment before it begins. Please refrain from
asking questions once the assessment has commenced. In the event of any
physical difficulties, please notify me promptly so that appropriate assistance
can be provided.
RIGHTS AND APPEAL SYSTEM
In case you have any questions regarding the assessment result, you have
the right to appeal. It should be in a written form, address to the
assessment center manager and to be submitted right after the
assessment. Understood?
ISSUANCE OF NATIONAL CERTIFICATE or CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY
For the issuance of the national certificate, the AC Manager shall inform you
where you can claim your national certificate within five working days after
the assessment.
REASSESSMENT PROCEDURES
After the assessment and you are found to be not yet competent, don’t
worry about it because you can be reassessed anytime at your own
convenience. In case the reassessment is full qualification, you have to
undergo the whole assessment process. If you are found to be competent in
some unit of competencies the reassessment shall focus in the unit of
competencies where you were found to be not yet competent. Also, if you
failed two consecutive assessment, you will be advised to undergo a
refresher course before applying for reassessment.
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH REQUIREMENT
During the actual assessment, please observe safety as you perform the
different tasks. Make sure to check on your electrical equipment before
plugging it, avoid pulling the cord as you unplug the equipment. Observe
proper body mechanics when lifting heavy equipment to avoid back injuries.
In case of accidents, please call my attention immediately so that we can
provide you with first aid and should need arise, our first aid cabinet is
located on the right side of the computer laboratory.
CONFIDENTIALITY OF ASSESSMENT OUTCOMES
With regards to the result of your assessment, we observe strict
confidentiality to ensure your integrity. The result is only made available to
authorized personnel and to the institution where you had your actual
training. In relation to this, the assessment package is kept in a secured
place to guarantee the integrity of the assessment package. I ask all
candidates to refrain from giving away any form of information that took
place during the assessment process.
PROVIDE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION TO THE CANDIDATE
If you don’t have any questions or clarifications, then I’m going to distribute
the specific instructions. Please read them carefully and do not hesitate to
ask questions right now. I may be able to translate it from English to your
local dialect. If you need assistance then I will be more than willing to assist
you. (Read and interpret the specific instructions)
ASSIGN NUMBERS TO THE CANDIDATES
I will give you now your assigned numbers. Here’s for you, Ms. Pialago and
Ms. Cuizon. So, everybody must be very ready now. Let us now proceed to
your assessment.
4. CONDUCT ASSESSMENT
WRITTEN TEST
Let’s start with your written test. You will be answering this 60-item test for 1
hour. Passing score is 75% and above. Here’s now your written test. Don’t
forget to write your names, your timer starts now.

5. PACKAGING
To formally end the assessment, I will now check the completeness of
accomplished documents. The rating sheets, feedbacks, the results,
competency assessment result summary (CARS) the National Certificate
(NC), Certificate of Competency (COC) the verification of signature the dates
and the qualification title.
And right now, I prepared the assessment package; I have here the
attendance sheet, accomplished application forms and Self-assessment
Guide (SAG), Rating sheets, Assessor’s guide, Competency Assessors script,
Candidate’s guide/Specific Instructions, and the Competency Assessment
Result Summary (CARS).
