Lesson 1: The Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives of the Institution

1. State the vision, mission, and values of your institution and the college of medical technology.

- VISION: By 2025, to be an educational institution recognized for transforming the lives of


its students and their families, especially low income families, for the better, and for the
number of students whose lives it has improved.
- MISSION: To uplift the lives of low income families in our community, we will pursue by:
1. Providing these families accessible, relevant, and appropriate training and
education that lead to employment and an improvement in their economic
well-being
2. Producing the competent and qualified human resources needed by Metro
Dagupan, national, and global industries
3. Facilitating collaboration among government, industry, and the academe as the
means to designing programs and curricula that respond to the needs of a
developing economy
4. Transforming PHINMA Upang into a community that celebrates diversity, cross
cultural appreciation, creativity and collaboration, and that serves as a model to
others
- VALUES: Patriotism, Integrity, Openness, Commitment, Competence, Professionalism,
Teamwork

2. Differentiate vision, mission, and value statements.

- Vision Statement conveys the desired end of an academic institution. It is usually a


one-statement sentence that describes the distinct and motivating long-term desired
transformation resulting from institutional programs.
- Mission Statement is a one-sentence relating to the intention of your institution's
existence. This communicates “what you do or who you do this for”.
- Value Statement is a list of fundamental doctrines that guide and direct the educational
institution.

3. A value statement contemplates the ultimate status of the institution’s desire to succeed.
What is your school’s and college’s vision? Is the vision statement achievable and realistic?

- By 2025, to be an educational institution recognized for transforming the lives of its

4. A mission statement is a short explanation of the institution’s purpose and intention for
existence. State your school’s and college’s mission. Does your mission statement say what
makes you different? Why?

1. Integrity - follow a set of values, be honest, help others, led by example, and take
responsibility
2. Openness - must be flexible and adaptive to the needs of the market and the dictates of
time
3. Commitment - every individual must perform task with passion and adhere to the mission
and vision of PHINMA Education
4. Competence - looks upon the individual’s qualification,eventually translating into the
ability to perform tasks and deliver desired results
5. Professionalism - adhere to the accepted standards and norms, practice good conduct
and calmness and patience, prevail in all situations
6. Teamwork - coordination and cooperation of its members
7. Patriotism - love of our country and our people
