Instructions
A mailbox card is chosen and placed in the center of the table. Shuffle as many
neighbours cards as there are players and include Norman's card and deal one to
each player.
The dices are thrown and everyone looks at their card. The neighbours will locate,
on the mailbox card, the word resulting from the roll of the dices. Let's imagine
that a 4 is shown on the golden dice and a 2 on the purple dice. The neighbours
cards have a chart indicating that both results equal C3
On the mailbox card, related to "plants" for example that C3 is trees. So, while
everyone locates the gossip, Norman will dissimulate so that they believe that he is
also doing it. There is no chart on his Norman card, just a picture of Norman and a
phrase saying: "You are Norman" so he will not know what the word in play is.
Next, each participant will say a word related to those "trees". It can't be too
obvious, so Norman won't know, but it can't be too ambiguous either (the others
would think that the player is Norman when he is not). Since Norman the doorman
won't know what the gossip is, he must pay attention to what the rest of the
players are saying and say a generic word that can fix with the gossip
This is followed by a round of discussion and questions about the words spoken.
The round ends by pointing out who is believed to be Norman. Whoever has the
most votes (or several in case of a tie), raises his or her card.
If it is not, Nornan, the doorman will have won, since he will not have been located.
If it is Norman, he still has a chance to win. He must identify the word in play, in
one try. If he gets it right, he wins. If not, he loses.
The game is repeated as many times as desired. You can change the mailbox card
or simply change the identities with the same mailbox card. The winner will be the
one who has the most victories.
