Therapy Plan

A. Client History

Bob is a 30-year-old individual who lost his job and divorced at an early age. The

situation affected his life because he had also lost his home to the debt collectors after failing

to meet the obligation that he had agreed with the relevant individuals in charge of the loans.

Bob needed aid because he had lost hope in his life after losing important resources which

would have been beneficial in gathering for their individual needs. The divorce encounter had

an impact on his well-being because he developed suicidal waves after losing hope on what he

undertook. The suicidal waves contributed negatively to Bob's progress because he was

unable to make appropriate decisions that would bring transformation to his livelihood. The

main reason for Bob's divorce was that his marriage was not working well, which hindered his

ability to make appropriate decisions that would bring positive changes to how he would

pursue crucial activities in his livelihood.

B. Therapy Plan Introduction

The therapy plan orientation that is appropriate for Bob is person-centered therapy

because it is aimed at ensuring there is self-acceptance and self-actualization, which helps in

gathering the root cause of the problem for the determination of the best approach to solving

the challenge experienced. It would be crucial to embrace openness to experience, which

would help in determining the best decision that should be made to improve the overall

outcome (Garcia et al., 2023). Acceptance in therapy is important in ensuring that the root

cause of the problem is identified, which would help in the transformation of how some of the

processes are undertaken. Acceptance would help in engaging the individual facing challenges

in a personal capacity which would contribute to the identification of the contributing factor
3

of the problems experienced through the engagement of the right channel of problem-solving.

The openness to experience is crucial in encouraging an individual not to lose hope in the

activities they partake in and to maintain positivity that would yield success (Yu et al., 2022).

Openness is important because it helps an individual with suicidal waves to make appropriate

decisions which can help in the elimination of the problems experienced by an individual.

The aspect of self-trust, genuineness, and reflection are the concepts that should be put

in place to help an individual who has lost everything in life because it would help in

improving how some of the activities are conducted and the right approach to facilitate

productivity. Self-trust motivates an individual to believe in their efforts which would

guarantee improvement in how some of the activities are conducted. Additionally,

genuineness helps in identifying the right approach to improving individual relationships,

which would impact overall productivity (Rodríguez Nogueira et al., 2020). It would be

essential to become genuine in solving the problems experienced, which would help in

gathering accurate information which would improve individual relationships with other

people in society. A reflection is a good approach in offering person-centered therapy because

there would be ease in making appropriate decisions that are aimed at improving general

productivity and exercising equity which can yield success in the activities undertaken. An

individual should be offered an opportunity to make appropriate decisions which can lead to a

transformation in how some of the activities are conducted for proper decision-making.

Bob’s case can be applied to the person-centered therapy plan because it is important

to work on offering solutions to the problems experienced by the individual through a

personal approach that would offer solutions to the problems he encounters. Person-centered

therapy approach helps in understanding the problem because there is self-trust which
4

guarantees proper decision-making which would benefit an individual facing the challenges

(Rodríguez Nogueira et al., 2020). Additionally, self-trust helps in understanding the problems

well because an individual who is depressed can feel comfortable avail of the right

information, which would be instrumental in making the right decisions. The challenge of

losing a job by an individual has an impact on their livelihood because they fail to get an

opportunity to be productive and sustain their livelihood. Self-trust helps an individual to

think of the best alternatives for repaying the loans they had borrowed, which would help in

the elimination of the suicidal waves caused by depression which can affect an individual's

livelihood. It would be crucial to work on the available alternatives available, which would

help in making the right decisions that would help in the elimination of the downward sides,

which would boost the overall productivity of an individual.

Personal-centered therapy is crucial to an individual who is depressed after losing the

essential resources which might be utilized to bring about changes in the life of an individual.

Bob's problem can be understood by the promotion of a growth climate and actualization of

tendency, which would help in establishing a good rapport between individuals facing the

problems and determining the right approach to solving the challenge. Additionally,

unconditional positive regard is important in understanding Bob's problem well because it

would help in motivating an individual not to give up on what they are undertaking. It is

important to make adequate consultation on the decisions an individual makes, which would

help in determining the appropriate solution which would help an individual to make the right

decision that would solve the problems experienced. The understanding of the problem based

on a personal-centered approach would make one decide on the best way of solving the

problem and the individuals who should be consulted to help in solving the problem.
5

The specific causes of the issues that are faced by Bob are joblessness, divorce, and

loss of a home to loan collectors, which led to suicidal thoughts. Therapy is required for an

individual who is jobless because they are stressed and inhibited from undertaking what they

perceive to be beneficial. Additionally, an individual who is jobless is vulnerable to health

and mental issues because they cannot meet the cost of gathering for their medical needs. A

jobless person should be offered therapy to aid in making appropriate decisions which would

help in determining the best approach to solving the problems encountered. A jobless

individual has limited negotiating power because of limitations in the available resources. It is

important to offer therapy to help in improving individual negotiation skills, which would

boost the overall outcome and the ability to engage important individuals in society. Therapy

would help in improving overall satisfaction with some of the available jobs, which would

boost the level of self-esteem and increase the possibility of securing another job.

The divorce and loss of a home to loan collectors Bob contributed to the problems

encountered because divorce destabilizes an individual from making beneficial decisions

which can bring about transformations in how important activities are run. An individual who

has divorced requires person-centered therapy, which helps an individual to get their life back

and engage in beneficial activities that are beneficial to them. Therapy plays a role in the

development of self-confidence in undertaking crucial activities, which would become a boost

in making appropriate decisions that can yield success. An individual who has lost his home

to the loan collectors requires therapy which would help in the elimination of blame and self-

hate that might affect the future life of an individual.

C. Goals and Interventions

6

The solution the person-centered therapy sessions need to achieve is finding new

coping strategies which would help in solving the issue of joblessness. It would be crucial to

offer better alternatives to an individual, which would aid in improving the decisions they

make affecting their livelihood. Therapy sessions need to achieve the maintenance of good

relationships, which would aid in offering the best alternatives to solve marriage issues.

Additionally, good health habits should be achieved, which would offer an alternative

approach to the problems that are likely to be encountered by a person as they interact with

other people in society (Healy et al., 2020). Appropriate decisions should be made on the

maintenance of good communication, which would bring about transformation in how some

of the tasks should be conducted, leading to success. The therapy sessions need to achieve

maintenance of a good relationship with other people in the society which would offer a

solution to the issue of housing after being taken by the loan collectors through negotiation of

new terms of engagement (Melin et al., 2021).

The specific intervention that would help Bob to remain busy as the therapy sessions

proceed is self-management because he is an individual with uncomfortable emotions

frequently, and there is a need to offer alternatives on how some of the activities are

conducted for success. Another intervention is by setting boundaries which would help in

offering appropriate parameters which would lay a foundation for therapy sessions. It would

help in establishing a good relationship between individuals which would boost the overall

outcome (Healy et al., 2020). It would be important for Bob to show up to his therapy sessions

to eliminate the potentiality of loss of important advice that might transform the livelihood of

an individual. A good relationship should be maintained between the therapist and the patient

for consistency and improvement of the level of understanding. It is important for Bob to
7

maximize his efforts on solving the problems that require urgency, which would boost the

general outcome. Another intervention that would help Bob to complete his therapy session is

securing a job that would help in financing his basic needs, which would boost the overall

outcome and provision of the solutions to the problems encountered.

Bob should be offered adequate time to speak out because it would help in

understanding the primary source of the problem and the individuals responsible for the

challenges encountered. It would be beneficial because the right individuals would be

consulted, and the right decision would be established to optimize the overall outcome. The

creation of goals by Bob would help him get a way out of his problems because he would be

guided on the right approach to solving the problems and the individuals to engage, which

would lead to success (Yun & Choi, 2019). The setting of goals helps in the elimination of the

physical and mental issues associated with joblessness which can affect the overall

productivity of an individual. Bob should set appropriate goals for making payments for the

loans to get his house back from the loan collectors. It would help him improve his financial

status by maximizing his efforts on other productive activities.

D. Conclusion-Giving updates on how Bob’s life has been changing.

Conclusively, Bob's life has been changing because of the use of the right approaches

to solving the challenge of joblessness, divorce, and the issue of homelessness through loan

collection. It was crucial for Bob to undergo several therapy sessions to help in the

identification of the problem and determining the best solution for the challenges encountered.

Bob has managed to negotiate with the loan collectors on the appropriate time for the loan to

be repaid. Additionally, Bob managed to utilize the therapy sessions to make the right

decisions which would help in establishing a good relationship with the people in the society
8

through negotiations and working on boosting the overall outcome through the elimination of

the mental and physical issues. It would be important to make a follow-up on the therapy

sessions, which would offer an opportunity for an individual to make negotiations on the right

approach to solving the problems encountered. Bob has managed to interact sufficiently with

his colleagues at the workplace by learning the benefits of communication and how to engage

relevant individuals to maximize individual efforts.
