days would 23 machines produce 2450 toys? (round to 3 s.f.)

Example (1): 𝑦𝑦 is directly proportional to (𝑥𝑥 − 4). When 𝑥𝑥 = 16, 𝑦𝑦 = 3.

Find 𝑦𝑦 in terms of 𝑥𝑥 then find 𝑦𝑦 when 𝑥𝑥 = 8.

Example (2): 𝑦𝑦 is inversely proportional to 𝑥𝑥. When 𝑥𝑥 = 9, 𝑦𝑦 = 8.

Find 𝑦𝑦 in terms of 𝑥𝑥 then find 𝑦𝑦 when 𝑥𝑥 = 6.
Example (3): 𝑦𝑦 is directly proportional to the square root of 𝑥𝑥. When 𝑥𝑥 = 9, 𝑦𝑦 = 6.
Find 𝑦𝑦 when 𝑥𝑥 = 36.

Example (4): 𝑦𝑦 is inversely proportional to (𝑥𝑥 − 1)2 . When 𝑥𝑥 = 5, 𝑦𝑦 = 2.

Find 𝑦𝑦 when 𝑥𝑥 = 3.

Example (5): 𝑦𝑦 is directly proportional to (𝑥𝑥 − 1)2 . When 𝑥𝑥 = 5, 𝑦𝑦 = 4.

Find 𝑦𝑦 when 𝑥𝑥 = 7.

Example (6): 𝑦𝑦 is inversely proportional to the square root of (𝑥𝑥 + 1).

When 𝑥𝑥 = 8, 𝑦𝑦 = 2. Find 𝑦𝑦 when 𝑥𝑥 = 99.

Exit Slip:
