PCA-VIII High-Range Superplasticizer
PCA-VIII High-Range Superplasticizer
简介 Brief Introduction
PCA® -VIII is a new generation superplasticiser based on modified polycarboxylic ether. It is formulated
to provide maximum water reduction, increased early strength, and improved finishing characteristics.
PCA® (VIII) does not contain formaldehyde, calcium chloride or any other intentionally added chlorides
and will not initiate or promote the corrosion of steel present in the concrete. It is formulated to
comply with the following specification for concrete admixture: : ASTM494, Type F; BS EN934:2/3.2.3
High range water reduction: it can be dosed in small amounts to obtain water reduction from 15 to
30%, and will achieve water reduction up to 45% at high dosage rates.
High Plasticity: The superplasticizing action of PCA® -IV provides high-slump, flowing concrete that
maintains excellent workability and may be placed with minimal vibration even at very low water
cement ratio's as low as 0.25.
High compressive strengths: Increases the compressive strengths of concrete by 50-120% at the age
of 3 days, 80% at the age of 28 days and 30-50% at the age of 90 days.
High durability: Effectively improves the frost resistance and carbonation resistance of the concrete.
Lower drying shrinkage of the concrete by 20% or more compared to naphthalene-based admixture.
High compatibility: Compatible with a far greater range of cement types and mineral admixtures.
Particularly fit for the preparation of high durability concrete and self-compacting concrete with fly
ash and ground slag.

Dosage:
The addition rate of PCA® -VIII can vary with the requirement for slump life, type of cementitious
materials and ambient weather condition. The normal dosage ranges from 0.5% to 8% by total
weight of cementitious materials.
Don’t mix with naphthalene-based admixture. If other admixtures, such as retarding or corrosion-
inhibiting admixture, are required simultaneously for some special projects, compatibility tests
should be conducted beforehand.
PCA® -VIII is normally packaged 200L or 1000L per barrel drum. Other types of packaging as
requested.
PCA® -VIII shall be kept in dry and normal climate and if in cold condition the product shall be
properly insulated and defrozened with proper stirring to reactivate its performance. The maximum
product life shall be within one year if protected under proper condition.
PCA® -VIII does not contain any hazardous substances needed to be labeled. However, it is
recommended to use standard handling procedures with the product. Wear gloves and eye
protection and wash splashes to the skin with soap and water at the end of shifts or at breaks.
To ensure desired concrete performances, we offer technical consulting service on the design of
concrete mix proportion and experiment on optimization of mix proportion. Our technical personnel
will provide on-site directing service free of charge.
