-------------------------------interview------------------------------

Interviewer: Good Morning my name is Cedrick L. Señal and I’m conducting research on
how online teaching has impacted educators during the pandemic.

Interviewer: Today, I’d like to hear about your experiences with online teaching during the
pandemic and how it’s affected your role as an educator.

Interviewer: May the interviewee please state their name and occupation?

Interviewer: Hello I am John Jay A. Ojales and I’m a licensed professional teacher but
currently I’m not yet pursuing my profession.

Interviewer: Okay, The first goal of this research is to learn how the pandemic has affected
educators and their institutions. I’m interested in how the shift to online learning changed
teaching methods, student engagement, and the overall learning environment.

Interviewer: So my first question would be, What were the biggest challenges you faced
when you had to switch to online teaching during the pandemic?
Interviewee: First and foremost, uh, for me the biggest challenge that Ii experienced during
the hype of the COVID-19 pandemic is the adaptation, how can I effectively adapt the
change in our educational landscape, like the face-to-face shifting to online learning, so yes
that was my biggest issue, like how I am going to adapt to the sudden change, knowing that
I have difficulty in accessing the internet connectivity and I am not also privileged in terms of
the technology or to the things that I would be utilising for conducting online classes.

Interviewer: Okay so, let’s talk about the adaptations and Solutions, what adjustments did
you make to successfully teach online during the pandemic?

Interviewee: I think if I will look back in the hype of COVID-19 pandemic, I think it became
successful in a way that I became resourceful, innovative and creative in all the things I
delivered in the online teaching setup, by having and securing the internet connectivity and
also invested on a laptop just to deliver the teachings or for what is being demanded in that
setup during that time, and I was able to conquer all the challenges by doing those.

Interviewer: How quickly were you able to make these changes when it comes to online
teaching?

Interviewee: For me, it became easy because we don't have any other choice but to adapt to
those changes, it became easy to me because it is what’s being demanded during that time,
I just needed to be diligent at that time, because it wasn’t easy at first due to the sudden
change during that time, so we just really needed to be adaptive at that situation.
