The Pros and Cons of Living in A City and The Country
The Pros and Cons of Living in A City and The Country
Nowadays everybody can decide where he lives. The choice of where to settle in a city
or the village depends on the human needs and preferences. Life in the town and the country
has both the pros and cons.
The greatest advantage of residence in a big city is the presence of a large quantity of
entertainment and shopping centers, clubs, restaurants, cafes, cinemas, theatres and others. In
short, you exactly won`t be weary here. Moreover, it is not far to schools, hospitals and other
needed state institutions. Of course, it cannot do without a few bad sides. Firstly, the amount
of pollution is tremendous. The more cars and stations the more harmful gases are released
into the air. Secondly, there is constant noise and traffic outside which often disturbs.
One of the benefits of living in the countryside is the surrounding nature: the garden
near the house and the forest not far away. Also there are home-grown vegetables and fruits
under the side. Furthermore, there is always fresh air, silence and calmness in the village.
However, some disadvantages are present too. First of all, you almost have nothing to do in
your spare time. There are no places to go or visit. Besides, there may be problems with
telephone communication and internet connection what is very essential in the 21th century.
As for me, I like the life in the town better.
