Initiatives Taken by DPDC for Rooftop Solar

i. Implementation of 750 kWp on Grid Roof Top Solar Power project on BOO (Build Own
Operate) basis at DPDC’s Own different Substation’s
ii. Implementation of a 50 kWp Grid Tied Solar Project on the Rooftop of Bangladesh
Secretariat Building on BOO basis.
iii. Implementation 200 kWp Grid Tied Solar Power Plant on the Rooftop of Sheikh Russel
Roller Skating Complex
iv. Installation of 06 kWp OPEX model Net Metering Solar System at Aligonj High School,
Fatullah, Narayangonj by DPDC
v. Installation of 20 kWp Solar Charging Station at Siddhirgonj, Narayangonj
vi. PPA is going to be signed of 3 MW (AC) on Grid Roof Top Solar Power project at
Dhaka University.
vii. About 31 MWp Rooftop Solar System has been installed by Customers in DPDC Area

Upcoming Projects:

i. Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has installed 1.7

MWp Solar Power Project on the rooftops according to Net Metering Guideline. The
approval process is ongoing.
 ii. Design work is ongoing for OPEX model based Net Metering Solar System on the Roof
top of BTCL Mosque, Mogbazar, Dhaka.
iii. Design work is ongoing for OPEX model based Net Metering Solar System on the Roof
top of Ideal School & College, Motijheel, Dhaka.
iv. Consent Letter has been found from Narayangonj College for installation of OPEX
Model Rooftop Solar.
