Who sent the first

Message in a Bottle?

The first known message in a bottle

was sent in ocean around 310 BC* by
the Greek philosopher Theophrastos.
His message, however, was not a
romantic gesture to a loved one as we read on books or watch in romantic movies.
It was a scientific experiment, Theo did it because he wants to prove that the
Mediterranean Sea was connected to the Atlantic Ocean.
* B.C. “before Christ” and A.D. “after death.”
