Experiment 1: Seed Germination

Objective: To study the process of seed germination

Materials:

Petri dishes
Filter paper
Seeds (any crop)
Water
Ruler

Procedure:

Place a few pieces of filter paper in a Petri dish.


Place the seeds on the filter paper.
Add a small amount of water to the Petri dish to moisten the filter paper.
Cover the Petri dish and place it in a warm, dark place.
Check the seeds daily and record the number of seeds that germinate.
Measure the length of the germinated seeds and record the data.
