Laboratory Exercise
The Plant Cell

Introduction
Plant cells are eukaryotic cells that vary in several fundamental factors from

other eukaryotic organisms. Both plant and animal cells contain a nucleus along with

similar organelles. One of the distinctive aspects of a plant cell is the presence of a

cell wall outside the cell membrane.

Objectives

At the end of this Laboratory Exercise the student are able to:

1. Identify the part of the cell and their function

2. Determine the difference between plant cell and animal cell

Materials

Online/Textbooks

Procedure

1. Fill in the missing parts of the cell and identify their function.
