• Informal Education – Indirect & spontaneous; imparted through daily-
life activities at home or in larger community
Aim – Enhancing practicality
Place – No particular place or setting
Curriculum – Life situations; no fixed curriculum
Rules – No rules or regulations
Sources – Received from anyone or everyone
• Non-Formal Education – Flexible, open system; imparted through
deliberate and pre-planned efforts
Aim – All-round development of personality
Place – Home, library or open space
Curriculum – Based on specific needs & requirements
Rules – Flexibly developed & imposed
