Program Title BALIK-BANWA 2024

Balik-Banwa 2024: Honoring the Contributions of Former Agency Heads of


the Municipality is a heartfelt initiative celebrating the legacy of former
municipal agency leaders. This program aims to recognize their invaluable
contributions and ensure their wisdom benefits future governance.

The event will feature a series of activities, including tribute ceremonies, dinner
sessions where former agency heads share their experiences, challenges, and
achievements. This event will provide current and aspiring leaders with practical
insights and guidance on effective governance and community development.

Description
Balik-Banwa 2024 will also include networking opportunities to foster
connections between past and present leaders, encouraging mentorship and
collaboration. By highlighting the accomplishments of former leaders, the
program seeks to inspire a culture of gratitude and continuous learning within the
municipality.

Through this initiative, Balik-Banwa 2024 aims to build a bridge between


generations, ensuring that the legacy of past leaders continues to shape a
prosperous and resilient future for the community.

Rationale
Balik-Banwa honors the invaluable contributions of former municipal agency
leaders, acknowledging their dedication and achievements in shaping our
community.

The program aims to bridge the gap between past and present leadership by
fostering a culture of mentorship and continuity. By sharing their experiences,
challenges, and successes, former leaders provide current and future leaders with
practical insights and guidance on effective governance and community
development.

This exchange of knowledge ensures that the municipality benefits from the
wisdom of its past while building a strong foundation for the future. Balik-Banwa
promotes a resilient, informed leadership committed to long-term community
well-being.

This Balik-Banwa program aims to:

1. Recognize and celebrate the achievements of former municipal agency


leaders.
2. Facilitate the sharing of experiences and insights between past and present

This activity is a high-energy, fun-focused fitness event designed to engage


participants of all ages and fitness levels through a variety of physical challenges
and activities. The event typically combines elements of obstacle courses, team
challenges, fitness stations, and fun runs to create a dynamic and exciting
experience.

Also, this activity aims to commemorate municipality of San Rafael 55th year
founding anniversary through barangay participation.

With this, United San Rafaelenos goes stronger and healthy in this year’s
Fitness Frenzy @ 55.

Fitness Frenzy promotes physical fitness and community engagement through a
fun, inclusive event. With rising sedentary lifestyles, it offers an exciting way to
encourage regular exercise, improving overall health and reducing chronic
disease risks.

The event fosters community spirit by bringing people together, supporting


mental well-being through stress relief and confidence-building activities.
Rationale
Additionally, it promotes healthy habits and provides educational workshops for
lasting lifestyle changes. Fitness Frenzy can also support local causes and
charities, enhancing its positive impact.

Ultimately, it combines fun and fitness, making a healthy lifestyle accessible and
enjoyable for all participants.

This Fitness Frenzy @ 55activityaims to:

1. To promote physical fitness, teamwork, and community spirit through a


fun and challenging obstacle run.
Objectives 2. To provide a friendly event that encourages participation from all age
groups.
3. To commemorate the 55th founding anniversary of the municipality
through fun obstacle run.

Guidelines I. General Guidelines


a. Fitness Frenzy @55 is open to all bona fide residents of every barangay
within the municipality of San Rafael.
b. All participants must submit a health declaration certificate issued by
the Rural Health Unit.
c. Participating barangays should form no more than one team, each
consisting of 10 members.
d. The registration form should be filled out by the team leader.
e. Each team shall have ten (10) members consist of any of the following:

1. Barangay Official/Employee
2. SHS Learner
3. SK Official
4. Barangay Tanod
5. BHW
6. Professional Worker
7. 4P’s
8. KALIPI
9. Driver’s Association
10. Any recognized barangay association.
11. Resident of Barangay
II. General Game Mechanics

1. Fitness Frenzy @55 will kick off its race at the San Rafael Landmark
at exactly 5:00 am.
2. There will be four stations:
 Aripdip Elementary School :The rolling Sack Race
 Poscolon Old Waiting Shade : Bamboo Skis
 Iloco Chapel : The Orbit Traveller
 Town Plaza : Obstacle Race
-Mud Crawl Challenge
- Group Legged Race
- Tarp Slip and Slide
3. No station or obstacle will start until the entire group is present.
4. Only the team that completes all the obstacles will be declared the
winner and will be ranked from 1st to 3rd place, with consolation
prizes awarded to the remaining teams.
Individual Game III. The Rolling Sack Race
Mechanics
1. The obstacle will start once all the members are complete.
2. Each group will be provided by a circular sack.
3. Everyone needs to get into the large sack and walk around the circle
until they return to their starting point.
4. All team members must remain on the skis for the duration of the
course.
5. The team must complete the course without stepping off the circular
sack.

IV. Bamboo Ski

1. The goal is for all team members to move the skis forward in unison
to navigate the course.
2. Each team places their bamboo skis on the ground.
3. Team members stand on the skis with one foot on each, holding onto
the sides for balance.
4. All team members must remain on the skis for the duration of the
course.
5. The team must complete the course without stepping off the skis.

V. The Orbit Traveler

1. Each team is given a string and an egg.


2. Teams must figure out how to move the egg from the start to the
finish line using only the string.
3. The egg must be held or transported using only the string; no hands or
other objects are allowed.
4. Teams must use the string to maneuver the egg around the course.
5. If the egg falls or is dropped, the team must stop, pick up the egg, and
resume from the point where it fell.
VI. Mud Crawl Challenge

1. Participants must stay within the course boundaries.


2. Crawling is the only allowed method of movement; no running or
walking.
3. Teams must complete the course as a unit; all members should cross
the finish line together.
4. If any participant leaves the course or gets stuck, they must return to
the previous checkpoint to continue.

VII. Two Legged Race

1. All team members must remain in contact with each other and keep
their legs tied together throughout the race.
2. Teams must coordinate their movements to move forward without
untangling or tripping.
3. f a team falls or their legs become untied, they must stop, regroup, and
continue from where they left off.
4. Teams must cross the finish line together.

VIII. Tarp Slip and Slide

1. Participants must strictly walk across the slippery tarp to grab their
colored flags.
2. Flags should be grabbed with hands only; no other parts of the body
can be used to retrieve them.
3. If a player falls off, they must stand back on the slippery tarp until
they reach the flag lets area.
4. The team must complete the number of flags required to finish the
obstacle.
