By the end of the quarter, the learners are able to convert units of measure from different systems of measure. (MG)

The learners convert units of measure within International System of Units (SI) and across different systems of measure.
1. The learners identify the different systems of units of measure: traditional or non-standard, English System, and Metric System.
Objectives: The learners measure length, weight, and capacity using non-standard units, English units and Metric units.

What principles and beliefs informed my lesson? Why did I teach the lesson the way I did?
My lesson on systems of units of measure was guided by the belief that understanding concepts is more important than just memorizing facts. I wanted students
to see how different measurement systems are used in everyday life, making the lesson relevant and practical. I taught the way I did to encourage active participation,
using hands-on activities and real-world examples to help students engage with the material and grasp the importance of measuring accurately in various situations.

In my lesson on systems of units of measure, my students took on active roles by participating in discussions and hands-on activities. They learned how to use
different measurement systems, like metric and imperial, and understood when to apply each one. They learned through practical examples and group work, which
helped them connect the concepts to real-life situations.
Ways forward
What could I have done differently? What can I explore in the next lesson?
I could have made the lesson more interactive by incorporating a fun measurement scavenger hunt where students find items around the classroom and
measure them using different units. For the next lesson, I can explore creative measurement challenges, like estimating the height of objects using shadows or
comparing distances in unusual ways, such as using footsteps or paperclips. This would make learning measurement more engaging and memorable.
