My Life With My Taxi Driver
My Life With My Taxi Driver
{INTRO}
My name is Zikhona Mbangi (18years old). I live with my mom who is in her early 40s. I
also have a big brother Aphiwe, he is 23 years old. He is Varsity. Well I can't say much
about my father because mom told us that he left and chose another family. And they
were not married, we made peace that we don't have a father
Well let me tell you about me, I was doing matric and I applied late for University so as I
was still waiting for response I decided to look for a job. And luckily I got hired at
Shoprite (Wynberg). My brother is doing Herbalife part time.
PRESENT DAY
"Yeee Zikhona" mom shouts
Me: Ndiyeza Sine ( I am coming Sine)
Her name is Sinethemba but we all call her Sine
Sine: Please hurry, your brother wants to talk to you
I quickly went to mom's room
"Hello"
Aphiwe: Baby sis, are you okay?
Me: I am good big bro, how are you?
Aphiwe: I am excellent, I just wanted to hear your voice mntaka mama
Me: Ncoah! I miss you kodwa. When are you coming back? Gauteng has really taken
you from me
Aphiwe: I will be back mntasekhaya, I miss you more pumpkin. I hope you are not
messing around with boys there
Oh! There he goes
Me: Yehake Aphiwe
I rolled my eyes
Aphiwe: I will kill someone's son, I swear
Me: I gotta go, ndiya emsebenzini ( I'm going to work)
Aphiwe: Okay bye ntondo
I hung up and gave mama her phone
Sine: I am working night shift today ntondo, are you going to be alright?
Me: Ewe mama
Sine: Okay hamba or you'll be late.
I left the room and prepared for work
I will be working 9-6
I went to catch a taxi, I just hope that boring taxi driver won't be nagging about wanting
my number.
As soon as I got off in a taxi, I saw him. My mood changed
Him: Zikhona!
Me: Hello
Him: Can I please carry your purse?
Me: No I can manage!
Him: I really wish you can see the way I love you, it's been weeks now since I wanted
your number. Please give me a chance
Me: Bhuti ndi late yeka ingalo yam ( I'm late, let go of my arm)
And I left him there!
CHAPTER 1
"Yoh ha.a today it's so tiring here" that’s my colleague Sinazo, she's older than me, the
same age as my brother.
Me: I can't wait for this shift to end, I am so tired.
I got up from the till and called the controller
She came
Me: Nolu can you please close the till for me, I need to go to the loo
Nolu: You can leave Sinazo at the till
Sinazo: But I won't have a packer Nolu
Nolu: It's fine, you can go Zikhona
I left, I went to do my business. As I was still in the staff entrance, I heard my name
being called at the intercom
I quickly went to the front
"Zikhona there's someone who wants to see you, he says he's your cousin and there's a
family emergency" says Nolu
I followed her to the office
I couldn't believe my eyes, it was the taxi driver
Me: What do you want here?
Nolu saw the anger in my eyes
"Are you going to be alright? Let me give you guys space" says Nolu
She left the office
Me: Ufuna ntoni apha?
Him: I will not leave until you give me your number and agree to what I am gonna ask
you
Me: What do you want?
Him: I want your number and I wanna take you home after your shift
I sigh
"Fine" I took his phone and dialled my number
Me: Please leave now
He said nothing and left, he came back and stood at the office door as I was still putting
back my shield
Him: Zikhona ndiyakuthanda
He had glasses in his eyes
"Ndicela uhambe torho" I slowly pushed him outside of the office
He walked slowly to the main shop entrance
I don't know how I was feeling, I just had mixed emotions. I mean I was hurt by my first
guy, and I couldn't trust any guy. I know I am still young but I don't trust men.
I went back to my till
Sinazo: Nolu said you have a hot cousin! The one that just left
Me: Oh that one!
I said while I was concentrating in my till
Sinazo: Please give him my number next time
I don't know how I felt after her statement, I became hot
Me: You're crazy
I changed my face, u could see the shock in her face
Sinazo: I am playing hayibo
Me: Just stay away from him.
CHAPTER 2
I don't know why I was feeling jealous all of a sudden after the small talk I had with
Sinazo
She saw that I was off and we both kept quite
Sinazo: Uqumbeleni?
Me: Who said I'm frowning?
Sinazo: Whoo! If I knew better I would say the man that was here earlier on is your
boyfriend, but the last time I checked you were single
Me: I didn't say he's my man
Sinazo: I saw how he looked at you, you can't fool me baby, wena you're in love shame
Me: I don't even love the guy
Sinazo: Keep telling yourself that, but I can see that you will slowly fall for the man
I just blushed
Me: Look at the time it's 17:40pm, I'm supposed to be at the cash office to cash up
I quickly left the till and called the security and controller to escort me
They did. We were now waiting for the transport after clocking out at work
My phone rang
"Zikhona hello" I answered
Voice: Hey it's me Bukhosi
Me: Bukhosi? Uhm! Who's that?
He sighed
Him: Your taxi driver
Oh it's him
Me: Owh! Hey, sorry I didn't know your name
Khosi: Because I never told you babe
Me: Kengoku, who's your babe?
Khosi: I know you'll be busy shouting at me, I'm coming to fetch you.
Me: My transport will be here any moment
Khosi: Ndiyeza
He dropped the call
Me: someone is coming to fetch me, you can tag along
I said to Sinazo
Sinazo: Yhuu usincedile mntakabawo
She took off her block heels and wore flip flops
Me: Oh there he is
I pointed the taxi as it was coming to our direction
Sinazo: You even know the taxi he's driving, yet you saying you don't love him
She laughed
"Izani" Khosi said
We went to the taxi
"Yhu ndidiniwe (I'm tired)" said Sinazo as we were already in the taxi
Khosi was focusing on the road
Me: Uhm! Guys! Sinazo this is Bukhosi, Bukhosi this is Sinazo my friend
Sinazo: Ndiyavuya ukwazi bhuti
Khozi: Likewise sister
With in 30 minutes we were already in our kasi
"Please drop me apha ngase station" said Sinazo
Khosi: Sure
We dropped her and we were alone
"Can I hug you? I nodded, but the hug turned into a deep kiss.
CHAPTER 3
I broke the kiss, it became an awkward moment for us, I looked down while playing with
my hands
He held my hands, I looked outside of the window
Khosi: Please look at me
My heart was beating very fast
"I know that maybe you see no future with me, maybe you're just seeing someone who
is not even your type, but please let me love you. Ndimdala Zikhona so I don't wanna
play anymore. I want you to give me a chance, I promise I will never ever hurt you" he
said
I didn't know what to say
Me: Uhm! Ndiyakuva Khosi but I don't wanna give you a chance and end up being hurt
here! My previous relationship thought me not to trust anyone especially someone who
claims his love to me
Khosi: Babe! I love you. I know you have trust issues but please let me fill this gap of
doubt that you have in your heart. Mna I can love you till the day I close my eyes. Please
give us a chance
I sigh
Me: Oh.. Okay
Khosi: Whaaat?? Baby, are sure? Baby I prom...
Me: Khosi stop
I giggle, he was touching me all over my face
Khosi: I love you
I just smiled
We shared a kiss that is full of love, a romantic one
His other hand was on my boobs, he was doing a magic
I moaned softly
"Please stop" I said with a sexy voice
Khosi: Do you really want me to stop?
He was planting soft kisses in my neck
Me: Mhm! Aah! Please stooop!!
His phone rang but he was still busy with me
Me: Iyangxola le phone (this phone is making noise)
He answered, I was busy fixing my shirt
Khosi: "Sure, Haibo phi? Okay I'm coming" he hung up
Me: Yintoni?
He wiped his face with his hands
Khosi: Baby I need to go to Nyanga kwi owner yam, some guys tried to shoot him but
luckily he was wearing bulletproof so as soon as he took out his gun they ran. So I have
to go there so that we can look for these guys
Me: Please don't go! What if you get hurt phayana?
I was teary
Khosi: I will be safe babe, I've been in this business for a very long time
He placed me to his chest
Khosi: I promise I will never ever leave you
I just left him there
CHAPTER 4
Bukhosi
My name is Bukhosi Phalo, 26 years old. I know Zikhona is too young to be my girlfriend
but I love her and besides that I want her to be mine only.
I have loved her since she was in high school, she doesn't know me but I know her
because when you are in this taxi business you see familiar faces each and everyday,
her brother was once a taxi driver but we were never on good terms. That boy is full of
himself, I wonder how he became Zikhona's brother while she is so calm.
As soon as I arrived in Nyanga there were already other taxi drivers 4 of them, I packed
my quantum and went inside the house
Me: Molweni Mlungu
Owner: Ey ndoda, ndiphantse ndafa apha ( I nearly died here)
The guns were on top of the coffee table, I took out mine and placed it there
Me: Ziphi ezintwana zenze lento skhulu? (Where are these guys that did this)
Owner: Yey kuthiwa ngezase Khayelitsha ( they say they are from Khayelitsha)
I sighed
Owner: Anele, Simphiwe, Luvo nawe Yandani! I need you to find these guys for me,
wena Bukhosi you will not go anywhere, I want them to find us here when they come
back to attack
Me: Sure Skhulu
Amajita left, and they took their guns. I checked the bullets in my gun. I was still rich kwi
bullets
Owner: I'm so grateful that my wife and kids were not here when these dogs came
Me: Ey Skhulu bekuzobayi mess yodwa
Owner: I want to torture them until they tell me who sent them
He poured whiskey for both of us
Owner: This bullet is specially made for my number one enemy
He always had that bullet in his wallet
"I think I will use it soon" he drank his whiskey. So did I
CHAPTER 5
Bukhosi Phalo
The guys were still out, we were having drinks but I detoxed with water, I didn't wanna
get drunk.
Oh shit! Zikhona must be worried sick, I took out my phone, f*uck it was off. I didn't
realise
I quickly switched it on
Me: Mlungu I need to make an important phone call
Owner: Okay bhoza
I went to the kitchen to make a phone call
It rang 4 times
"Mhhm!" She said with a sleepy voice
Me: Baby
Zikhona: Bukhosi
I got nervous, I didn't even know how to explain
Me: Baby I'm still in Nyanga, I'm so sorry for not calling you. My battery died
Zikhona: Mhm! Okay
Me: Baby I know you are angry, ixolo kaloku mntuwam
Zikhona: Honestly I'm fine now that I'm hearing your voice. I was worried
Me: I know I know, I'm sorry for not calling you on time
Zikhona: It's okay, so when are you coming back?
Me: I'll come back when the guys are back from the mission
Zikhona: What mission?
Me: I'll explain everything when I see you sthandwa sam
Zikhona: Okay goodnight
Me: I'll drive you to work tomorrow, when is your shift starting?
Zikhona: Ndingena u9 oko this week
Me: Ndizokuthatha ke, goodnight. I love you
Zikhona: Me too
She hung up
I called her again
Zikhona: Babe
Me: I called you with my own airtime now you hung up on me? After that you're saying
me too when I say I love you. What is your problem, woman?
Zikhona: Haibo baby I'm so sorry, I love you more Bukhosi wam
I smiled
Me: Goodnight my wife
I dropped the call
Zikhona
After the phone call I couldn't sleep at all, I kept tossing and tossing. I was stressed, I
really wanted to know about the mission he was talking about. He is not safe at all and I
need to talk to him about this, I am not ready to lose him. I wasn't sleepy at all so I
decided to iron my work uniform and chat with Sinazo on WhatsApp. I checked
Bukhosi's profile picture and it was a girl. I think same age as me and his caption was "
". I felt hot but I decided that I will not ask him anything now, I will deal with him in the
morning.
CHAPTER 6
Bukhosi Phalo
I woke up earlier because I had to take staff people by 4:30am.
Within 30 minutes I was already done with everything, I started the car and work.
After dropping off people I went to the taxi rank, on my way there I met 3 ladies who
hiked apha kum
Me: Sisters niyangaphi?
"Siya estishini bhuti" said one of them
One was sitting in the front seat, I tried yo chit chat with her
Me: Hey! Bathi ungubani igama lakho? (What is your name)
Her: Ndingu Andisiwe
She said shyly
Me: Kemna ndingu Bukhosi, do you mind giving me your number?
Her: Ewe I do mind
Me: Please
I said with a sexy voice and pleading eyes
Her: Ungandibethisi ke
I handed her my phone
She called her number, I buzzed her and it went through
Her: You thought I gave you the wrong number ane?
She laughed
Me: Ewe tshini
I smiled
Her: Please drop us here, they get off
Me: I'll call you
Her: Okay
She smiled
I drove to Zikhona's house, I parked 4 houses away, I call her
"Bukhosi Hi" she sounded like she wasn't in the mood
Me: I'm already in your hood baby, I hope you are done because I'm taking you to work
Zikhona: Okay I'm coming
She dropped
I waited for her, she came looking beautiful as usual
I love this soul
"Molo" she said as she was getting in
I baby kissed her
Me: Unjani mntuwam?
Zee: I'm good
She was off marn
Me: Baby you are not in the mood yazi I can see you. What is wrong?
Zee: Do you love me?
Me: Where is that coming from?
Zee: I just want to know! I don't wanna stay in a relationship where I'm not loved, ndibe
ndibhanxwa
She fold her arms
Me: Baby I love you
I held her other arm as I was driving
Zee: Then explain who this is?
She showed me my WhatsApp profile picture
I just laughed
Me: Baby this is my sister, Lithalethu but she's in Eastern Cape with my whole family
Zee: Oh!
I could see the disappointment in her face
Me: You think I'm already cheating?
Zee: No baby but you never told me that you have a sister that I'm in the same age with
Me: I was gonna tell you njena baby
She was mad!
CHAPTER 7
3 WEEKS LATER
Zikhona
We were madly in love with Bukhosi and I. We were on a honeymoon phase, everything
was so sweet, I was even gaining weight, that's how happy I am with this guy.
Ever since he told me about his sister I felt guilty for thinking worse about him! He made
sure that everything was perfect. I had no reason not to trust him. He had access to my
phone but it was always in his pocket.
I just got knocked off at work! I was at his place. He owns a full house. 3 bedrooms,
lounge and a kitchen. His family left it for him since they all went to Eastern Cape
Bukhosi: Baby
Me: Mhhm!
My head was on his chest, we were watching a movie (The Perfect Match- Tyler Perry)
Bukhosi: How about I make dinner while you're still watching?
Me: Yuh mntuwam! That would be wonderful but I'll help you. Because if I don't, we will
eat coals just like the other day
I laughed
Bukhosi: Uthini? So I can't cook mna?
"I never said that mna" I said while laughing
I got up and held his hand, and we went to the kitchen to start cooking.
I watched him as he was busy peeling the vegetables, I was blessed for having this man
He was singing
Bukhosi: Wenzani?
Oh shit! I'm caught. I was taking a video of him
Me: I'm taking a selfie baby
I smiled
Bukhosi: You're not a good liar mntuwam so stop lying. I know you were taking a video
He came to me, held my waist. He kissed my neck so soft
"Mhm!" I moaned
His hands had a magic, his touch would shiver my spinal
We kissed! His other hand was on my boobs. He lifted me, I sat on top of the kitchen
counter. My legs were on his waist, my arms on his shoulders. The kiss was hot. I took
off his vest. He was left with boxers only. I grabbed his thick d*ck and brushed it. He
groaned. He took off my short night dress. I was left with nothing, because I don't do
undies when I'm with him
We continued with our kiss, he took off his boxer, he spread my legs and inserted his
thing
Me: Aah!!
It was painful
Bukhosi: I'll be gentle baby
He tried again and it was fully in. I moaned
We just kissed, he started to move his waist, the pleasure was too much as he was
pumping
He was so gentle, I didn't even know if I should grab my hair, I have long braids.. I was
getting fucked in a way that I can't even explain
The intimate was full of love.
The kitchen was full of moans and groans
He banged me so fast, like there's no tomorrow, his thumb was brushing my clit softly. I
couldn't even control my self
"Baby I'm coming aaahh" I said.
He was busy sucking my boobs at the same time
I heard him groaning. He held me so tight
"Aahhh!! Fuck you're so good baby" he kissed me on my forehead.
He was still resting on me, the pots were burning
Me: Baby imbiza!!
He got off and switched off the stoves. We totally forgot about the food lol.
Bukhosi: It's your fault Zikhona
I laughed
Me: Hay hay ndincede mna
Bukhosi: Haike we will have to eat take away. Let's go and change so that we can buy
something to eat at KFC
We changed and went to Lansdowne KFC.
CHAPTER 8
Bukhosi
My feelings for Zikhona were getting stronger each and everyday.
I love everything about her, she's beautiful and humble. She's everything that a guy
could wish for in a woman.
We were on our way back home, I was playing a track in the car
" I've been looking for love until the day I found you - R.Kelly"
I was singing along
Her smile was melting my heart
Zee: If you were a good singer, besizobase ngxakini shame (we would be in trouble)
I stopped and looked at her
She smiled
Zee: I'm playing my love. You are a good singer wena baby
Me: Kengoku, who are you playing with?
Zee: Haibo mntuwam ixolo
I just looked at the road. I wanted her to beg me
Zikhona
Umntuwam became so serious after that silly comment.
Me: Korea baby I was playing
He even switched off the music
We finally arrived, I got out first since he still had to park the car/quantum
I throw myself on the couch as soon as I got in
After 2 minutes he made his way in. He went straight to the kitchen
I followed, he was taking plates out. I wrapped my arms around his waist and rested my
head on his back. He stopped and stood still.
Me: Baby
Khosi: Mhm!
Me: You make me happy, everything that you do for me makes me feel like the only
woman on Earth. The little things you do, they are not little to me. Ndiyakuthanda
Tshawe.
He sighed
Khosi: Ndiyakuthanda nam baby
He turned
Me: Are you still frowning?
Khosi: Me? Frowning? For what?
He rolled his eyes, and I just laughed
Me: Buqumbile ke apha
He held my waist and bring me closer to him
My other hand was on his chest. His heart was beating fast
Khosi: Baby you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, I thank God for bringing
you to me. Baby please move in with me
That came as a bomb
Me: Whaat?
CHAPTER 9
Zikhona
I'm shocked I won't lie, I know we are in love but moving in with him? Isn't that too soon?
What if he changes? Those questions were on my mind. And besides that my mom
would never allow that. She doesn't even want me to spend more than 2 days at
Bukhosi's house
He held my hands
Khosi: Baby please say something!
Me: Uhm! Khosi, I can't, baby it's too soon
Know: What is too soon baby? Me loving you? Or me wanting to take our relationship to
the next step? What is too soon? Why can't you do it?
Me: Baby my mom would never allow that, you know that.
Khosi: Your mother is always working night shift njena baby! You hardly spend time
together
Me: Baby I know but I can't just leave my home like that, and you know how my brother
is.
He let go of my hands, he took off his cap.
Khosi: Ndiyakhuthanda uyeva? (I love you) and I'll always do. I will wait until you're
ready to move in baby
I baby kissed him
Me: Ndiyakuthanda nam Tshawe ( I love you too)
His phone rang, It was his owner
"Hello" he said as he was heading to the guest room
I rinsed the plates and tidied up the kitchen.
I switched off the kitchen and lounge lights.
I went to the bedroom, he was not there, I guess he is still in the guest room.
His bedroom has its own bathroom, so I just ran myself a bath. I was tired
Khosi
"I'll be there Mlungu, but I have to take the madam to work first" I said
"Kulungile nyana (it's okay son) as long as you'll make it here by 10am" he said
"I promise mlungu" we then said goodbyes.
The other drivers managed to get one of the guys that tried to kill our owner, but
unfortunately they couldn't get the others.
So tomorrow i have to be at the warehouse, that's where they kept the guy.
The lights were already off, so I went to my bedroom. Zee was singing in the bathroom.
I logged into my Facebook account. I was scrolling down then I saw Andisiwe, the girl
that I asked for her number. She appeared on "People you may know" , which means
she visited my timeline.
I sent her a friend request. She accepted within 2 minutes, it's like she was waiting for
my invite.
I inbox her
Me: Hey babe
Her: Who's your babe? Hello
Me: You are! It's just that you don't know that yet. How are you?
Her: I'm good, how are you?
Me: Ndimnandi sani! I lost your number, can I please have it again?
Her: You lost it? Or your wife deleted it?
Me: Lol my wife doesn't go through my phone
Her: Yuh amadoda! (Men!!)
Me: Can I please have it babe?
Her: Okay, 064125....
Me: Thank You, goodnight beautiful
Her: Night
I logged out
"Awusancume" said Zee as she was walking out of the bathroom
Me: Hay marn baby my, my guy sent me a funny meme on whatsApp
Zee: Yehake! I wonder
Me: You like news kanene! I won't show you.
She just smiled while she was wiping herself with a towel.
CHAPERER 10
Zikhona
In the morning he took me to work, he also mentioned about seeing his boss because
they had to meet at 10am.
I trust Bukhosi, I'm pretty much sure that he is loyal to me and I'm also loyal to him.
We were at the canteen, Sinazo and I. It was our much time
Nazo: Girl, you must really love the guy! You are even glowing
I blush
Me: That guy is my life Sana! I've never loved a guy like this before.
Nazo: My friend, be careful. You must always leave a space for disappointment, men will
embarrass you, they don't even care about your loyalty when they wanna embarrass
you.
Me: Chomie! I trust my man. Thanks for the advise
I was annoyed already
Nazo: Don't say I never warned you when you come to me crying, ndimdala Zikhona. I
know these relationship things, I will never mislead you.
Me: Don't worry babes.
I checked the time
Me: Let's go back inside, our time is up
We got up and went back to the store.
Bukhosi
I was still at the warehouse with other drivers, the owner was torturing the guy.
Owner: Who sent you?
The guy was quite
Owner: I asked who sent you bastard?, khona what is your name?
The guy: Ndingu Luzuko tata
Owner: Do you know who I am?
Luzuko: You're Mr Vimbela
Owner: Do you know what I do to people who take advantage of me?
Luzuko: I'm sorry taima, I didn't want to come here and threaten you, I was sent by
someone
Owner: I asked you, who is that someone
Luzuko: Ngu Kholo Mqambeli
Owner: Dammit!!
He was angry, and we were all standing and listening to this guy
Owner: Yhe Bukhosi! Please pass me my gun
I did
Owner: I groomed Mqambeli, fed him. Introduced him to this taxi business. But now he
has the nerve to send hitmen to me? I even made him worship at Khayelitsha taxi rank
kanti he wanna kill me.
Mr Vimbela was so angry, I've never seen him like that before.
Vimbela: Bukhosi come forward
I did
He took out all the bullets in his gun and left only one bullet.
He gave me the gun, I was puzzled because I have my own gun.
Vimbela: I want you to show this bastard the price that a person pays when they mess
with me.
He pushed me forward
I put the gun on the guy's heard
Luzuko: Ixolo bra yam ( sorry my brother)
I pulled the trigger, he fell with the chair
The guys whistled and made noise, but my mind was far away.
Vimbela: Andile!
He called one of the drivers
Andile: Mlungu
Vimbela: I need you to clean up here, dump this body at the Monwabisi Beach. Am I
clear?
Andile: Ewe mlungu
I took my quantum keys, I didn't talk to anyone. I put the gun on top of the table and left
them there
I heard Mr Vimbela calling me but I paid no attention, I was still traumatised.
I decided that I will not go to the rank, I'm going straight home.
I called Andisiwe, she answered immediately
"Hello" she said
Me: Ola Andy, it's Bukhosi here, how are you?
Andy: I'm good. Unjani wena?
Me: I'm also good. Can I see you? I'm driving back to Philippi, I'm coming from Nyanga.
Andy: I'm also here at Nyanga! I was doing my hair at Bongs Salon apha terminus.
Me: Are you done?
Andy: Yes
Me: I'm coming
I drove to terminus, she was waiting for me at the rank
"Hey" she said as she was climbing on the front sit
Me: Ola, u grand mfethu? ( are you good?)
Andy: Ndi right
It became quiet, I had a vision of what happened earlier on
I hit the steering wheel
"Fuck" I said
Andy: Are you sure you're okay?
Me: Yeah! I'm sorry for scaring you
Within few minutes we were at my house
Andy: Your house is beautiful!
Me: Thank you, do you need something to drink?
Andy: Water please
I poured her cold water
Andy: Thank you
We were quiet, I got close to her. I lifted her face with my fingers because she was
looking down, I think she's shy
I kissed her, she responded. I don't know how I took off her clothes. But we were having
it on the couch.
Andy: Owh yess Bukhosi!!!
I was banging her like there's no tomorrow
Me: Mhm! Aahh!
I banged her
Andy: Please stop hurting me!
I didn't stop, in my mind I was picturing that dead guy.
Andy: Bukhosi stop
She pushed me
Me: Oh no! I'm so sorry
I got off her, she was angry
Andy: What is wrong with you man?
She picked her clothes and wore them
She left.
CHAPTER 11
Zikhona
Bukhosi was supposed to fetch me from work but he didn't, I tried calling him but it was
just ringing.
I waited for the staff transport, I didn't even bother to go home, I went straight to his
house, it was already getting dark outside since its winter season
I opened with my key, the lights were off, he was lying on the couch with his boxers only
His clothes were on the couch that means he took them off and slept on the couch, I
shook him
Khosi: Mhhm!
Me: Babe vuka ndim ( wake up it's me)
Khosi: What is the time?
Me: It's 19:40pm
He checked his phone
Khosi: Yoh babe you called kanti? Sorry mntuwam I was sleeping, ndidiniwe
Me: You promised to fetch me, oko ndilindile mna
Khosi: I'm so sorry babe
I put my purse aside and took off the work clothes, went to hang and put them in the
bedroom. I wore my sleeping nighty
I went back to the lounge. Khosi was deep in thoughts
Me: What are you thinking about?
He jumped, he didn't see me
Khosi: It's nothing mntuwam
I went close to him
Me: Are you sure it's nothing?
Khosi: I'm hundred percent sure
I sat on top of him
Me: You can tell me everything babe! I can see you're distracted
Khosi: Jonga sundidika ndithe ndi right Zikhona (don't bore me I said I'm fine)
He pushed me and went to the bedroom, he left me confused.
BUKHOSI
I couldn't tell her that I've just killed and cheated on her today! I just couldn't.
I know she will look at me differently if I tell her that I killed someone, maybe she will
even leave me, I can't risk that, I love her.
I checked my phone, I had messages from Andisiwe
"You have issues wena, my private part is burning, do you know that I can get you
arrested for rape? Nxaa"
I got hot immediately
I tried to call her but she didn't answer.
"Please forgive me, let's meet tomorrow so that I can apologise properly, night" I press
send
Zikhona got in
Zee: Can you please get up, I want to fix the bed. Ndiyozela mna
She was angry. I could see in her eyes but I said nothing and got up. We slept
CHAPTER 12
ZIKHONA
We hardly say anything to each other! This guy has pride.
He was facing his side, so was I
I woke up earlier, switched on the light. He woke up
Khosi: Where are you going at this time?
I just opened the closet, I took all my clothes and put them on top of the bed
Khosi: Zikhona ndiyabuza uyaphi? (I'm asking where are you going)
He got up and took my clothes, he put them back into the closet
Me: Khosapha iimpahla zam Bukhosi (give me back my clothes)
Khosi: You are not going anywhere Zikhona, yes I was wrong for speaking with you like
that kodwa you are not going anywhere.
Me: Can I please leave Bukhosi
Khosi: Ndithe you are not going anywhere
I just broke down, I really hate feeling this way
Me: Khosi please I want to go to work mna
Khosi: Where are you taking your clothes kengoku?
I just cried
BUKHOSI
My heart just sank as I watched her crying. I hate doing this to her but I don't want her to
leave me because I know that she will leave for good.
She was sitting on top of the bed, she even had hiccups
Me: Baby ixolo, I don't wanna see you crying
I hugged her
She cried and buried her face on my chest
Me: Please say something babe
Zee: What do you want me to say Bukhosi? First you hurt me, you had pride and didn't
say sorry. Now you don't wanna let me leave. It seems like you're forgetting that I have
home. I think I should give you some space. When you are ready to talk to me about
whatever that is troubling you, you know where to find me
With that being said she got up and packed her clothes.
She went to bathe
I waited for her, but I made the bed in the meantime
She wore her work uniform, she was not talking to me
Me: Please let me take you to work babe, but there's something that i need to tell you.
Zee: What is it?
Me: Babe my boss made me do something very bad
Zee: You're scaring me Bukhosi, thetha
Me: Babe I know that you will never look at me the same way! Kodwa I have to tell you. I
killed someone
Zee: Whaaat?
CHAPTER 13
BUKHOSI
She moved away from me, tears were falling in her eyes
Zee: Ubulele umntu Bukhosi Royalty Phalo (you killed someone)
Me: Baby! I was forced
I tried to touch her, she backed away
ZIKHONA
Me: Let go of me Phalo
He did, I was really shocked by the news. I didn't even know how to react.
He sat on top of the bed, buried his face on his thighs. I know that now I'm supposed to
be on his side but guys he killed someone and on top of that he said nothing but he
became an animal.
Me: Why did you agree to do it baby?
He sighed
Khosi: Zikhona, do you remember when I told you that we had a mission after some
guys tried to kill my owner?
I nodded
Khosi: Baby those guys were on the run after doing that shit, but the other drivers
managed to get one of them, my boss forced me to pull the trigger. He was supposed to
be the one ombulalayo Zikhona.
He broke down, my heart sank. I went close to him. I kneeled in front of him, I held his
hands
Me: Baby please look at me
He did
Me: You were supposed to tell me as soon as it happened, even if it meant to tell me
over the phone but you were supposed to tell me Tshawe, baby these missions are
dangerous, what if the other guys that you couldn't get come after you? Baby this line of
work will make you lose your life, I'm not ready for your death kemna because this will
get you killed.
Khosi: Baby I'll not get killed, I will protect myself and I'll make sure that you don't get
involved in this
He wiped my tears
Me: Is there something that you wanna tell me?
He kept quiet for a minute
Khosi: No, I've told you everything baby.
I got up, and fixed my uniform
Khosi: Baby let's go
He took the car keys we left
We were silent, his phone rang. It was "Andisiwe"
He dropped it
Me: Iyangxola le phone (this phone is making noise)
Khosi: Hay marn baby, it's not an important thing.
I just looked at him.
CHAPTER 14
ZIKHONA
FEW DAYS LATER
Bukhosi became so distant, I didn't know what his problem was. He looked stressed and
I was worried. His phone was always ringing but he would intentionally ignore it. I
became so curious but then I thought maybe he's stressed because of that big incident.
So this day I was at home, chilling with my mother, we were having tea and chatting.
Mom: Sanalwam uyayazi ndiyakuthanda andithi? (My baby you know that I love you,
right?)
Me: I know Mha
Mom: Honestly I don't love this cohabitation you're doing, mntanam you haven't even
reached 21 years but you're already making yourself someone's wife.
She sighed
Mom: I'm not saying don't visit the guy, because now you're already sexually active but
mntanam visit him just like any other girls. If you are making yourself his wife,
uzakugezela. Keep my words. I hope sivene .
I didn't even know what to say because I know I'm wrong for staying at Bukhosi's house
for so long.
Me: Ndiyakuva mama
Mom: You know that Aphiwe would never approve this, that is why I'm politely talking to
you about this because you know your brother. And I wouldn't like seeing him hitting you
because of this
Me: I know mama, I'm sorry
Mom: It's okay, as long as you hear me and starting from today you will do the right
thing.
Me: Yeah!
My phone rang, it was Aphiwe(big bro)
Me:Mkhuluwa
Ap: Ntondo how are you?
Me: I'm good bhuti, how are you?
Ap: I'm good, where is mommy?
Me: Nanku (she's here)
Ap: Oh I'll call her ntondo, I hope you are not troubling her apho
Me: Haybo bhuti!
Ap: Suthi haybo! Goodbye
He dropped the call
Me: Mama Aphiwe says he'll call you
Mom: Okay
I got up and went to my room, Bukhosi hasn't called me the whole day, he was upset
because I told him I'm going home
I called him, it just rang without being answered
I tried again
"Hello" it was a female voice
Me: Hi, can I speak to Bukhosi?
Her: He's at the store and he left his phone in the car
Me: Tell him to call me, by the way who are you?
Her: You'll find out soon my love.
She hung up
BUKHOSI
I was still in the queue to pay for the few snacks that I bought for Andisiwe. I've been
seeing her because she said she will open a rape case if I don't date with her. I can't say
I love her, but the sex with her is good. I've been visiting her for the past few days.
Luckily Zikhona was sleeping at her house, so I was free.
I paid, then went back to the car. I took my phone, I had a message from Zikhona "You
should just say it straight to my face that you don't want me anymore, you don't have to
give your floozies to pick up your phone when I call"
I was shocked, Andisiwe was busy playing with her hair.
Andy: Is there something wrong?
I just looked at her
I checked the call log, I think she deleted that incoming call from Zikhona.
Me: Who gave you the permission to answer my phone?
Andy: It was ringing non stop mos
She had the attitude
Me: Look here, we may be fucking but that doesn't give you the right to make yourself
my girlfriend, you'll never be like her
Andy: Yet I'm the one who is sitting on the front sit of your car and yena she's not here
I became angry
Me: Yehlika emotweni yam (get off in my car)
Andy: Haibo! How am I supposed to reach my house?
Me: I don't care phuma
She did and I left her there.
CHAPTER 15
BUKHOSI
I didn't care how she reached her house, she disrespected me and Zikhona! She thinks
she knows me because I let her do whatever she wants including blackmailing me.
I knew Zikhona was angry! I was scared to call her.
I parked the car and went inside the house!
I got a call from my mother
"Ndoda unjani?" She asked
Me: Ndiyaphila Nozuko unjani? (I'm fine Nozuko, how are you?)
I knew she was gonna say something
Mom: Hay futsek I'm not your friend wena! Yintoni wandi Zuka ngoku? (why are you
calling me with my name?)
I laughed, she can be dramatic
Me: Askies nozala
Mom: I'll tell your father
Me: it doesnt have to get there, I was playing.
Lol first of all my father doesn't play, he kicks some ass, ukudibanisa nedonga one. I
couldn't risk that. Liyakhaba elaxhego.
Mom: Oh! I'm just playing mntanam, we have a problem here. I got a call from a girl that
says she is impregnated by you! Mntanam are you not supposed to be the one telling
me all of this? Do you know how angry your father will be if he hears this? Yoh hayini
ooBukhosi bethuna
She sounded disappointed, and here I was! Confused, I can't even explain the way I'm
feeling right now.
Me: I'm sorry nozala, did she say who she is?
Mom: Uthe ungu Andisiwe Nkomo
She sighed
Mom: Mntanam yintoni le uyenzayo kwelo Kapa?
Me: Ixolo mama, lomntana never mentioned about being pregnant to me, the worst part I
was with her few minutes ago
Mom: She just called me 5 minutes ago, she said you left her in an unsafe place, you
told her to get off in your car. Hayi marni Bukhosi hayi
Me: Mama mamela kaloku! This girl is not my girlfriend, we were just flirting and...
I played with my fingers as if I'm in front of her
Mom: Don't get into details, I get you. So what happened?
Me: She answered my phone while I was being called by my girlfriend
She laughed
Mom: Yebethuna lomntana! How many girlfriends do you have kanti?
Me: I only have one girlfriend uZikhona Mbangi, I would like you to meet her one day
Mom: If you love her so much, then why are you cheating on her?
Me: I got tempted mama
I said with a low voice
Mom: Jonga ke, I will not tell your father now until you confirm that she's really pregnant.
Wena fix this, umdala marn for playing with these girl's feelings. Yhu uyandidika
mntanam.
With that! She dropped the call without saying goodbyes
I knew I had disappointed her. I took my phone, I wanted to call Zee but I was nervous.
So I just sent her the message.
"Mntuwam, I know you are angry but it is not what you think it is, I'm not cheating on
you" I press send.
ZIKHONA
He has the nerve to send me a message. He killed a person and now he is cheating on
me. I thought I knew this guy, clearly I was wrong.
I just deleted the message, he thinks I'm stupid.
I was ignoring his calls, I knew he was gonna bore me especially when he saw me at
Wynberg because urenkisha pha most of the time.
I was not ready to see his face, bendizimela when I saw his taxi.
My mind was far
"Yeeeyyy" she waved at my face
Me: Yoh hay marn chom I'm thinking
I was with Sinazo at the Canteen
Nazo: What is wrong?
I couldn't tell her about the murder
Me: I think Bukhosi is cheating!
She clapped once
Nazo: Ndanditheni? Never trust a man mntasekhaya, he seems innocent kanti he is a
wolf in a sheep skin! Amadoda
Me: But I love him chom, and I'm not willing to share him with someone else.
Nazo: If he doesn't mind to be shared then why are you stressed about him? Ngoba
ayikhuthandi lendoda
She has a point though
Me: I really don't know what to do
I looked up, I could feel my tears, I blinked so many times
Nazo: Never! I repeat Never waste your tears for a man that doesn't respect you.
She checked the time
Nazo: I hope I made myself clear, asile amadoda Zikhona and you'll lose weight ngenxa
yaba sana
I nodded
Nazo: let's go and clock out
On our way to the taxi rank, I saw Bukhosi's taxi. There were so many people, I assume
it's his colleagues.
"Zikhona" he shouted
I ignored him
I felt his cologne, I knew he was close
Me: Nazo I don't wanna talk to him
Nazo: But you have to, tell him lento ikutyayo because now you are always sad and it's
because of him
"Zee" he held my arm
Nazo: I'll wait for you erenkini friend
Me: What do you want, Bukhosi?
He wiped his face and sighed
Khosi: Baby
I looked away, I was hurt marn yazi
Khosi: Please look at me
I did
Khosi: I'm so sorry
Oh hell yeah! You are! I rolled my eyes
Me: Why did you do it?
Khosi: Baby andiyazi! I don't know why really. I was stressed baby.
Me: Each and everyday I made sure that I check up on you, ask you if you are okay?
Ubusithini wena? You always said you are fine. But today you are telling me that you
cheated because you were stressed, awundibhanxi mhlawumbi? Ndiphambene mos
mna ne Bukhosi? You shut me out when I tried to talk to you, I'm your girlfriend but you
are busy messing around shoving this dick of yours in a pussy that you don't even know
who eated it before you did! You don't even care about my health mos Bukhosi. You can
easily get drop or even worse HIV and infect it to me mna sibhanxa sakho. How would
you feel if I cheated on you?
Khosi: Someone would die kaloku rhaa.
He said with a sharp voice as if I'm saying I'm already cheating
Me: See? The difference between you and I is that you would kill someone but I,
Zikhona Mbangi, I will love myself and leave this relationship, from now on, please stop
calling me, delete my number, everything that has my name in your phone. Oh and
please can you pack everything that belongs to me in your house then uzise ekhaya. I
want nothing to do with you.
Then I left him there without even hearing his answer. I could hear him calling my name,
but andamhoya.
CHAPTER 16
BUKHOSI
She left me there, hurt was written on her face, it broke my heart seeing her like that. I'm
not perfect, I'm a man.
I went back to the quantum we were chilling on.
Me: Ekse bro's ndimoshile kanjani!
I sighed
Andile: What did you do nkabi?
Sonke interfered
Sonke: Thetha bhoza
Me: I cheated bro's
They all laughed
Sonke: Haibo! So?
Andile: Hayi marn Sonke bra
Sonke: I don't understand why he is so devastated, I mean lomjita has been a player
almost his whole life, ngoku yintoni le ispecial ngalomntana?
Me: Sonke bra lomntana is so different, ndiyamthanda
Sonke: You loved uYolanda mos, awuqali uthanda umntu
Ndabila nje ngova elogama
Me: Lamntana was not grateful, I loved her with all my heart. I spent all my savings and
paid for her University fees, but she thanked me by cheating on me and also telling me
that I'm not her type anymore kuba ndingu no taxi.
Bulelani: Yewena Sonke did you have to bring up Yolanda's name because you know
uBukhosi how he feels ngalamntana!
Sonke: Sorry bro's but I wanted to know
Bulelani: Kudala unqandwa ke apha! You are rubbing it on his face. Kuba you once had
an affair with la Yolanda.
Sonke: It was a mistake, and sadlula mos kulo way nomjita
I looked at him, he made me weak. I was away for my other business but Sonke slept
with my ex-girlfriend uYolanda. We were not cool for months but Bulelani talked to us,
saxolelana and we had to listen to him because he is the older one apha kuthi.
Bulelani: Andifuni uphinda ndive igama lika Yolanda kuni
Sonke nodded
Bulelani: What did you do to this girl Bukhosi?
Where do I start??
Me: I cheated on her ngenye iway engu Andisiwe ihlala eNyanga, so that girl answered
my phone while ndingekho and I don't know what she say to Zikhona. I didn't even argue
with her, qha ndimkhuphe emotweni yam lamntana because andfuni umbamba ngezam
izandla.
Bulelani: You need to fix things nalo umthandayo ke
Me: Lamntana akaphelelanga pha! I think she stole my mother's cell number and called
her, yathi ispati(pregnant) la way.
Andile: You are screwed mfethu
Bulelani: Jonga bozza not every girl you meet will be like Yolanda, so wena don't hurt
the girl that loves you ngenxa yezinto nje ezifebayo.
He has a point, I nodded
Bulelani: Stop stressing, it's your turn yolayisha ngoku
Me: Phumani emotweni yam ke bro's
They laughed
Andile: Uyekile ulila ngoku
I started the car and drove to the rank.
ZIKHONA
I felt like screaming my lungs out, I hate him I hate him
Nazo: Chom hayi marni
She wiped my tears, we were still in a taxi.
People were looking at us, andabahoya kemna because everyone has their problems.
Nazo: Usibambele esekileni driver
Me: You were supposed to get off kudala kewena
Nazo: Andinokwazi ukuyeka uhlale wedwa in this state, worse akekho no mamakho.
She was right, umama bephangele night
We get off then saya endlini. We took off our uniforms, I gave her izinto zotshintsha
because siyalingana.
Nazo: let me cook something light
Me: Okay
I got up kuba ndizomncedisa
Nazo: Go back to the lounge, I got this
She doesn't want to be disturbed ke ndiyamazi
I went to watch TV, but it was watching me. My phone rang, it was him. I ignored him.
He called 5 times
Nazo: You have to talk to him ekugqibeleni
Me: But chommy u...
It rang again
Nazo: Bamba iPhone Zikhona because you want to speak to him
Ndayibamba
Me: Hello
Khosi: Baby please don't hang up
Me: Khawuthethe bhuti
Khosi: I'm so sorry my love, It was a mistake and it won't happen again.
Ndathula
Khosi: Please say something sthandwa sam
Me: Ufuna ndithini Bukhosi?
He kept quite
Me: You cheated ndikhona phofu, did you sleep with her?
Khosi: baby
Me: Yeyyy! Sundiphambanisa, ndiyabuza ulele naye na?
Khosi: Ewe baby
Me: Kangaphi? ( how many times?)
Still he kept quite
Me: Yet you are saying it was a mistake kodwa you took off her panties and had sex with
her! Yeah right my mistake was giving you a chance.
I did not even let him talk, I dropped the call.
CHAPTER 17
ZIKHONA
I was getting miserable each and every day, mom noticed because she once asked why am
I always in my room after coming back from work, but I would make an excuse because I
wanted to be alone.
It's been a week now since I last heard from him and I must admit that I miss him.
It was my day off, so I decided to spring clean my room. I was alone at the house. Mom
mentioned that she's going to her friends, abantu bomgalelo.
I played music so loud, started to clean the whole house. Within 2hours I was done. I
decided to call uNazo sibheke Junction Mall.
Indlela bekushushu ngayo I wore a long summer dress and sandals, I took my purse and
waited for this girl.
She called
Me: Sthandwa
Me: Khawuleza
Linoyolo is her beautiful and cute daughter. She's 1 year and 5 months.
I wanted to call Bukhosi so bad but pride got all over me. I was hurt that he has given up on
me just like that. These past few days I've always woken up with the hope of getting a
notification from him or some missed calls. I guess we are done now.
Nazo came with her daughter then sahamba. At the mall I was the one holding Linoyolo, her
mother was in the ladies room so we were waiting for her outside.
"Sisi you dropped her other sandal" a bold voice said behind me. A good looking man in his
late 20's handed me Linoyolo's sandal. He is good looking, very muscular and tall. Have a
neat cut. Yuh bemhle marn
Him: My name is Ntsika, I would like to be a step father of this beautiful girl here
He said while playing with Lino, she giggles hiding her face
Me: I can see she loves you, she's not like this kwi stranger
I laughed
I smiled
"Umama" wakhwaza sana U lino and wazidlikidla as she saw Sinazo coming to our direction.
She nodded
Ntsika: Mhle marn! Can I please have your number, you did not even tell me your name! Hay
you are so wrong
I laughed
Ntsika: I think I misplaced my phone, I don't know if it's in the car or ndiyishiye endlini. Can
you please borrow me yours?
Ntsika: Undincedile
Me: Bungayazi nyhani phone yakho or you wanted my number nge style?
He smiled
Ntsika: Both
Nazo: Ndibone ngathi ubusy kaloku ndangena apha MrPrice but I'm coming.
Me: Okay
She came
Nazo: Zithethe zonke sisi, who's that hunk bume nayo apha?
I smiled
Nyhani ndamnika
BUKHOSI
I gave her all the space that she needed, I didn't call, I didn't do anything, but I wanted to qha
bendisoyika uphoxwa.
Lumko: Boss lomntana is at the Junction Mall, she's with her friend baphethe nengcosi
Me: Jha
I hang up
He really sent the pic, it was Zikhona with some guy. This guys was playing with lengcosi
and Zikhona was laughing. She looked happy. I felt hot, I was fuming with anger. How can
she move on so fast? How can she replace me lula kanjena marn.
I called her
She didn't pick up. I was tempted to go to that mall but I thought I shouldn't make a scene.
Tar Bulelani called me
TarBuja: Jonga boy, ndifumene igqirha elizokuqinisa then likuhlambe because you never did
after shooting lamjita
I sighed
Buja: Where are you now? Because bendise Wynberg and lamajita athi khange uspane
today
Me: Ndilapha kwam bra, I'm not feeling okay. I think I'm coming down with flue
He laughed
Buja: Uyi moffie kwedini ude uyikhumshe! Ftsek sela umhlonyane lo uzoqina. Yintoni na
ingathi awungomXhosa?
Ndayibeka, bendilele kwi couch and watching a soccer game. I got up, freshen up and
waited for Bulelani, I needed to get this and be done with it.
ZIKHONA
We were on our way to the taxis, I took out my phone, I had missed calls from Bukhosi, and
khange ndiyive because it was so noisy at the mall.
Me: Hello
Khosi: Jha
Khosi: If bungekho busy namadoda ngowuyivile phone, qha kaloku wena you are Zikhona
Mdingi endaweni yothenga eMall uncuma namadoda
Haibo!
Khosi: I won't answer ezinto zakho, but yenza le uyizeleyo apho ugoduke if awufuni limazisa
abanye abantwana.
He hung up..
CHAPTER 18
BUKHOSI
I was now done with everything but waiting for tar Buja.. I heard loud music outside, I
knew it was him. I took my gun and placed it on my waist. I locked the doors and the
gate. He was leaning on his car.
Me: But I don't know the place, you are the one who's supposed to drive ngoba yaziwa
nguwe kendawo siya kuyo.
He chuckles
He got in the driver's seat and drove. This guy is well educated but indlela ayicaphukela
ngayo English you'd swear zange waya nasesikolweni.
We were quiet, ingxaki bendimoyika because he has that "futsek face" no akambanga
qha akaqheliseli umjita yoh. He is my father's best friend, he owns taxis and is also a
dentist. But you wouldn't say because he doesn't smile, he is very tall and so fit, yeah I
also lift weight but andiyonto pha kuye.
Bendisoyika umxelela that I had followed her but I had to because he was gonna find out
anyway.
Me: We normally call each other oko but ever since she found out I cheated oko ndim
osemva kwakhe.
Me: No but kudala ndixolisa and she doesn't wanna listen. It seems like sevume umntu
lamntana.
Buja: Did she tell you uba he has a new boyfriend? Okanye you are just assuming?
Buja: Ushumaneke lomhlobo na? You had her followed? Then did you find whatever you
were hoping to find?
Me: Ewe kuba she was busy giggling with omnye umjita pha eMall, andazi noba I think
into yabo but I'll find out soon.
Buja: Ntwana yam, I'm so fond of you, utatakho trusted me with you ngoku ebehamba
apha. He did not leave kuba kumnandi, you know he had to choose his family kunale
taxi business but wakushiya wena because he trust me ngawe, he knows xakukho mna
ebomini bakho kuyafana ingathi kukho yena, so ke mna andizokuyeka usenza
ububhanxa, umoshe lomntana and instead of apologizing you are having her followed,
do you know how creepy is that? Lomntana akaziqhelanga ezizinto, you are scaring her.
Sufuna uba akoyike, wena fix things with her ngendlela e right.
Besingena eDelft
We drove for 15 minutes, safika.. Beyingumzi omkhulu but there was also a flat eback, I
think besebenzela kuyo.
Buja: Masingene.
He patted my shoulder.
ZIKHONA
Me: Yazi I thought Bukhosi was sane, ha.a akabhadlala and udinga usiwa eBhofolo
marn.
Me: Yazi he had me followed? Okanye yena undilandele I don't know but he called me
and khange ndiyive so I got back to him ndimbuza bezothini, did he not say "Ngewuyivile
iPhone if bungahleki namadoda apho kulo Mall" hay marn uyandicaphukisa lo
She left, ndaba busy noqoqosha. My phone rang, it was an unsaved number.
Me: Hello
Me: Oh! Hey Ntsika! I'm sorry I didn't know it was you.
Ntsika: Let's have dinner so that you can apologise properly for undiphoxa kanje.
I smiled
Me: Andizokwazi bhuti sorry. And besides that I won't have a chance, ndibuya ndidiniwe
emsebenzini.
There was something about his voice, it wasn't too deep, ibi right marn.
I blush
Ntsika: Bye
He hung up.
We high five
BUKHOSI
We entered
We sat down
We did
Her: Wena!
Wakhomba mna
Me: Camagu
Us: Camagu
Her: Yebhuti phambi koba ndikuhlole kakuhle. Lentombi bulala nayo ikuxabanisa
nentombi yakho izama ukusebenzisela umthi. Yilento ndisithi uncedile ubelapha
ngethuba.
CHAPTER 19
BUKHOSI
I was really shocked, and couldn't believe what I was hearing. I mean Andisiwe seems
like a nice girl, she wouldn't stoop that low, it wasn't making sense why would she use
witchcraft for me.
Gogo: Funeka ukhanyise so that I can consult your ancestors zindibonise yonke into.
I did
Gogo: Tsiii! Let's get started. We are all going to pray first.
Gogo: Tshawe, Khawuta, Tshiwo, Hintsa ancestors, I'm calling you all to gather here.
Nanku umntwana wenu uBukhosi Phalo, he is being followed by the darkness.
Gogo: Eh! Bhuti there's a restless spirit that is following you everywhere, camagwini
Us: Camagu
Gogo: Yes, whatever you did to the person you weren't doing intentionally, but you
couldn't say no to the person who asked you to do it.
Me: Camagu.
TarBuja was confused, I never told him about killing that guy as Mr Vimbela(owner)
instructed me to.
Gogo: And there's this girl that you had something to do with, she took your T-shirt and
your girlfriend's pair of slippers, she only took one pair so that ningaqwalaseli uba
usithathile. Ezozinto ke uzise kwinyangi yase Malawi, lamfo usebenzisa amayeza

Gogo: I know what you're gonna do if ndingakunika but I'm sorry I can't give you.
Buja: I want to have a serious talk with him, azotsho ayeke ufundisa nabantwana
bangamantombi uthakatha.
Gogo: Let it go mfanawam, you want this guy to be helped most? So I'll do that
peacefully, I don't wanna start a war. Kungakubi kweliKapa.
Gogo: Bukhosi what happened to your job? Besides this one you're doing?
Me: I was a Butchery manager at Checkers Hyper but one of the girls reported me to the
management and said I was flirting with her, I had a fight with the manager and I
resigned so oko ndangena kwi taxi kengoku.
Gogo: esokuqala isifutho uzosenzela apha! Then ezinye uzenzele kwakho. Uzofutha for

white chicken, two bottles of brandy, a commando and a Gordon's Gin. Also come with
candles, red, blue, green, white and also a yellow one. That's all.
Buja: She's one of those people abaneziphiwo macala, that means uyalunga ecaweni
nase magqirheni.
Me: I see
Buja: So are you gonna tell me about lento caba wawungafuni uyenza but wayenziswa
ngenkani?.
My heart raced
I said nothing, I could see the anger in his eyes, his forehead had veins. Bendimoyika
nam. He was speeding up as if we had other lives.
"Sho, jha, no ukhona u line endisayowulungisa, mgcine apho garage ndizobuya ngaye,
moja" he hang up and focused on the road.
Safika kwa Mr Vimbela, I opened the gate, I knew his security code.
We went straight to his study room, he was smoking a cigar and drinking whisky.
He smiled and extended his hand for a hand shake but Buja just looked at it.
Buja: Themba Vimbela I'm gonna say this once and andizophinda ndize apha ndizoxoxa
ububhanxa because you know what do I do ebantwini abangamameliyo and I would hate
doing it to you but if kunyanzelekile ndizoyenza.
Buja: Wena xawucinga ubhadlile, when I left here I told you ungakulinge wenzise
lentwana imikhuba yakho.
He laughed.
Buja: Jonga yindoda lentwana and akhonto ishota ngayo wena ndithi kuwe usukela
namhlanje uzozenzela izinto zakho. I thought savumelana the day you have him a job
nalapho ndikuxelela uba sumnika because I know what are you capable of, I don't want
him to turn like us, he still have to enjoy his life without having countless enemies like us.
Buja: I don't wanna do something to you wena Themba, and I will not tell Mbuso about
this.
Mbuso is my father
Buja: Wena you'll take your quantum key kulentwana uphume kuyo.
Yoh! Ndathula.
Me: Kodwa...
Vimbela: There's no need for doing all of this Bulelani. How is he gonna protect himself if
umenza kanje?
Buja: Mkhuluwa I would hate to chop and braai you kodwa if you are challenging me,
then game on.
Buja: It was nice having a chat with you, it reminded me of the old days. Masihambe.
We left. He dropped me at my house. Before he sped off I went to his side, ndama
efestileni yemoto.
Me: No but were you serious when you said you'll chop and braai him?.
He laughed but quickly stopped.
Buja: Nyana, you are my best friend's son, so I'll do anything to protect you.
I opened the gate and went inside the house, umnyango wase kitchen ophumela garage
buvuliwe, I took out my gun and tiptoed around. My room was closed but bendiwushiye
ndiwuvulile. I kicked the door.
CHAPTER 20
ZIKHONA
Nazo was cooking, mom wasn't back. I was worried. I called her
"Mntanam"
Mom: I won't drive if kube late kakhulu, I don't wanna get hijacked.
Mom: Bye
I had these pains like I'll be on my periods, it's been days since I had them but what
surprises me is that I wasn't on periods. Nazo was cooking and I was lying on the couch.
I had just taken pain medication from mom's medical kit.
My phone rang. It was Bukhosi, I wasn't in the mood to speak with him after endigezele
but ndayibamba anyways.
Me: Hi
Me: I have these pains, ingathi zi period pains and zibakho late qho.
Bukho: But I really want you to come here.
Bukho: I'll request an Uber for you because I can't leave the house.
Me: Okay
BUKHOSI
I decided to call Zikhona before saying anything to Andisiwe. She was still looking
terrified and I was calm AF.
Andy: I was in the neighborhood and I thought I should pop in kuba ndikukhumbula.
Baby please believe me.
I scratched my head with the gun. I shot on the roof she screamed
Me: I'm giving you only 1 minute to tell me ufuna ntoni apha and how did you get in?
Me: I must be insane mos, my spare key is with my girlfriend so wena wenze njani
ubelapha?.
Me: You will stay here in this room, I'm going to attend that car outside. If you try to
scream or anything, I will shove this gun to your mouth and your windpipe will welcome
the bullets that I'll be feeding you.
Then I left her there. I hid the gun from Zikhona and the driver. I paid him
She slowly sat on the couch, I could see that she was in pain. I went close to her, I can't
believe I cheated on her, I mean she is everything, she's beautiful, kind and intelligent
also.
I went to the bedroom, Andisiwe was sobbing, I leaned by the door, with my hands in my
pocket.
Me: Wipe that face and follow me, oh before anything. My girlfriend is here. You will tell
her everything and yiza nalo plastic buyiphethe.
Me: I did not ask what is there qha ndithi yiza nayo and yikhuphe ngapha kwe bed yam,
you thought I did not see you when you dropped it?
She took it
Andy quickly sat. Zee was fuming with anger, she wanted to stand up but she was
struggling because of the pains I'm sure.
Zee: Do you know what is hurting me more, yilento uyenzayo, because I'm sure this is
that girlfriend of yours.
I shut her with a hot slap, I hate hitting women but she's pressing me lomntana.
She sob
Zee was tapping on the floor with his feet, she looked angry.
Andy: Like I said, I was in the neighborhood so bendizokujonga apha uba uright na.
Zee: You are being dramatic kengoku, i gun uyisaphi? She will talk most.
Andy: Okay you did not give me the key, I stole yours then ndayosikisa esam to a
hardware, I brought back yours without you noticing. So I have been coming here
xawungekho.
Me: Stop it with the crocodile tears, now tell Zikhona about ixhwele (traditional healer)
lena uhamba kuyo.
Ndambona wethukile
She took pain killers from her purse, I went to take a bottle of water for her in the fridge. I
gave her, she took them.
Andy: Ewe
Zee: Whaaat??
I quickly went to her, I strangled her, until she struggled to breath. I let go of her.
Me: I just want to kill you so badly yazi but you are not worth it. You will go kulandoda
yakho ndingayaziyo ngu Papa bani and you will tell him to remove whatever curse he did
to Zikhona and I and wena I will deal with you. Uyandiva?
She nodded
Andy: I was going to pour this all over your room but especially on your bed side so that
whenever you see me undithande more than your girlfriend.
Andy: But seku late for ndihambe, I can sleep in the guest room.
The nerve!
Me: Did you bring any guest rooms here? Phuma ke ndingephuncukelwa sisimilo.
Zikhona was crying. I really did not know what to say to her. I think I should let her go.
Zee: She is doing all of this kuba efuna wena? Do you realise that ndiphantse ndabola
because of your cheating?
I sighed
Me: Baby I'm so sorry that I've caused you this pain, I'm not perfect but that doesn't say
my actions were right. Zikhona I want us to get help. If you want nothing to do with me!
Then it's fine MaRhadebe noko imbi kakhulu le ndikwenzele yona. Please let me get you
help then I promise I will leave you alone. What I did to you is unforgivable, I hope one
day you will find it in your heart to forgive me, I've really lost a diamond because of a
stone. Undixolele MaRhadebe.
CHAPTER 21
BUKHOSI
I hugged her so tight, it was hard to let her go but I had to for her safety.
Me: I never meant for things to be like this but ndinentloni for doing all of this.
Me: We both need a break from each other, I messed up, that is why I want us to get
help first then sibone what do we do.
I plead.
ZIKHONA
I was so hurt I don't want to lie, I was hoping that we would fix this. Ewe I was angry but I
was willing to fix this but it seems like he has taken a decision about us taking a break
from each other. I had to go with what he said, it's not easy but mandamnkele.
He sighed.
Bukho: Baby please, okay let's call her Marhadebe simxelele awuzobuya, I want to
spend this night with you.
I pulled away from him and took out my phone and called Sinazo, luckily wayibamba in
time.
Me: Andizobuya uyeva! Please lock everything that needs to be locked apho.
I laughed
I said politely
Nazo: Yoh hay andfuni kuthwe ndiyaphazamisa kuba ndingena ndoda. Bye.
We hung up.
I smiled, I could feel his D getting an erection. He slowly kissed me, I responded, we
were kissing each other with passion, I loved every moment of it.
BUKHOSI
I didn't want us to go to the main bedroom ngenxa yamayeza ka Andisiwe. She got up
and so did I. Ndamfunqula and place her phezu kwe bed. I took off my clothes and went
to her, ndamkhulula the tracksuit she was wearing. She was left with matching maroon
lace underwear. I bite my lower lip, looking at her cute and perfect body. She hide her
face with her hands.
Zee: Mhhhm!
I took off her panty, I looked at her cookie, it was shaved nicely. I kissed her thick thighs,
my tongue was doing circles to her clit, she was moaning loudly. I sucked her clit and
inserted two fingers into her cookie. She was ready. I got on top of her, widely opening
her legs. I slowly slid in my D, and paused. She was so hot.
Zee: I lo...
I shoved it before she could answer, I banged her slowly, her other leg was on my
shoulder. I was playing with her clit while banging her.
Me: Baby
I was moving my waist in circles, my baby was losing it. She was now so loud. I could
feel that was about to come. I moved so fast, both her legs were on my shoulders. I
groaned
Me: Aahhh!
I pulled out. I wiped her with the towel, and she rested her head on my chest.
CHAPTER 22
ZIKHONA
When I woke up Bukhosi was not next to me, but he left a note "I have a few errands to
run, I love you". I smiled and thought about our steamy session. I tidied up the room,
took a quick bath and went to catch a taxi.
Mom: Yuh lonto ungusithubeni mntanam, bekuthwa uyagula ke apha kodwa ndifike
ungekho.
I got up from the couch and went to make mom a cup of tea.
My phone beeped, it was a message from uNtsika "Morning beautiful, I hope you've
thought about my proposal. We can have dinner at my house if you don't mind." I just
looked at it, I was gonna respond after getting done.
BUKHOSI
I left Zee earlier in the morning, I didn't wanna disturb her because she was peacefully
sleeping. I saw how I've hurt her and I'm even ashamed of myself. I made a decision that
will benefit both of us. I know it's a selfish one but it's for the best. I was at tar Buja's
house, but he was still talking kwi phone.
I looked down
Buja: Are you insane? You are doing all of this because you've hurt this girl? Yheman
ubhadlile na kwedini?
Me: Taima ndimoshile lamntana kakhulu and I can't continue to stay here and I might
still have some feelings for Andisiwe. Yes she has wronged me kodwa I have these
strong feelings for her.
Buja: You are confused wena, and this will hurt the innocent girl that loves you. All that I
will say to you, okay I won't stand in your way if you want to leave but you must know
one thing that I will not be able to protect you if you are not next to me. I made a promise
to umkhuluwa(my father) that I will always be here for you.
Me: You've done nothing wrong taima but ndifuna uphola, my love life is messed up.
Buja: So where are you going?
Buja: Eish! Are you gonna tell your father? Yemfo I don't like this tension between you
two.
Me: My father doesn't care about me, I got shot by his enemies, he didn't even take me
to the hospital but you did. Ayaphelela apho, I lost my job, he took all of his quantum's
wazisa Eastern Cape then he gave Mr Vimbela ezinye kodwa ndikhona. What kind of a
father is he? I hate him.
Ndathula
Buja: Your father and I come from a very long way, he took me in when I had no one, he
would hustle so that ndilale ndityile, we were staying on the streets but he made sure
that I go to school everyday. Today I'm a dentist because of him. Ntwana if he didn't run
away from eza enemies zakhe, ngezambulala. I feel bad for not being there for you guys
ngalamini. But you know that I took care of those guys.
Buja: Uthambile kwedini so I can't tell you everything, let us go. I have a patient at 11am.
I got up
Buja: Remember one thing, my door is always open for you when you decide to come
back.
I packed all my clothes, I was gonna drive dad's car (GTI) that he left kum qha I wasn't
always using it because I was always driving the quantum most of the time.
I have only two days left eCapetown, the only reason I'm not leaving now, I have to go to
gogo so that she can give me the herbs. I called Andisiwe and she picked me up.
Me: Andisiwe
Andy: Hello
I sighed
Me: Jonga marn mfethu as much as I don't wanna hear anything that comes from your
mouth but I will ask you this one question.
Wathula
Andy: I was
Me: You did what?? Jonga ke ntombazana I'll never ever forgive you for using muthi on
me and aborting my child.
I dropped the call. I was hurt, I don't want to lie. I decided to go and see Zikhona. I had
to tell her ngokuhamba kwam. I took the car from the garage, I was going to see
Zikhona. I drove to her hood.
ZIKHONA
I was still chilling at home, Nazo left with her baby and mommy was already getting
ready for work. So she should leave anytime after getting done.
Bukho: Hey
He sounded so down.
Bukho: I'm okay baby yazi, can you please come out, ndilapha ngakowenu.
I dropped the call, I quickly wore my flip flops, as I got out of the yard I saw his car imile
few houses away from home. And he was also outside of his car, he was leaning on it,
with his hands on his pocket. Umntuwam was wearing his black Nike tracksuit and white
Adidas kicks. He was so handsome. I smiled
Me: Haysuka.
He sighed
Bukho: I've wronged you, so I've decided to leave Cape Town for good.
Haybo!
Me: Whaaat??? Baby is this about lantombi bisifake iyeza? Tshawe ndikuxolele njena
sthandwa sam, you don't have to leave because of that.
Tears streamed
Bukho: I'm doing this for us, I want you to heal the baby without me nagging you about
umjolo.
Me: Baby I never said you are nagging me! Tshawe ndiyakuthanda.
Bukho: MaRhadebe you know that I love you, that is why I'm doing this. Please ube
right, it's not you it's me.
He picked me, wiped my tears and hugged me. I didnt wanna let go.
He just got in his car, and left me there standing like an idiot.
CHAPTER 23
BUKHOSI
Leaving her crying like that broke my heart but what can I say? I can't really stay here
knowing exactly that I'm unfaithful to her.
ZIKHONA
He left me there, the man I love just drove off without me.
People were looking at me like I'm some kind of a new crazy person. I got up from the
pavement, tears were streaming, I ran back to the house. Mom was standing at the
veranda, I threw myself to her.
We got inside..
Mom: Let me make you some sugar water, it will cool you down.
I just nodded, she went to the kitchen. I took my phone with the hope that maybe he
wrote a message and apologised for everything. I had a hope that he would say he was
just pranking me.
"He will not call," said mom as she was handin me the glass of sugar water.
I was shivering, I don't know if I was angry or what but bendingcangcazela still
ndingayekanga ukhala.
Mom: Let me call at work and tell them I can't come awukho right.
Me: I'll be fine mama I promise, you don't have to miss work because of me.
Mom: I won't argue with you kemnake, qha ndizokufaka umva wempama if
siyaphendulana. Pass me my phone so that I can call at work.
I did.
.
.
BUKHOSI
Me: I'm sure gogo, I want to leave Cape Town for good.
Gogo: It seems like you've already made up your mind. So what about your girlfriend,
how am I gonna help her ungekho wena?
Me: I will give you her numbered gogo, I'm sure she wouldn't mind coming here because
she resides in Philippi.
Gogo: You've broken her heart, she was bewitched because of loving you, now instead
of fighting this curse with her uyabaleka. Mfana you'll see things not going your way
kulendawo uya kuyo and you'll blame witches and the devil kodwa ibe ingengabo.
Inyembezi zalamntana nesikhalo sakhe, sizokuphathela amashwa. You have to give her
space for now, but as soon as you reach your destination please call her or send her a
message, ucele uxolo.
I know she is trying to help but I'm still scared to call her after leaving her like that, Yoh
hay ndiyoyika.
Gogo: Here
She gave me the herbs. She prayed. "Gracious father we thank you for this lovely day,
we thank you oh lord for being the owner of our lives. Holy spirit you gave me a very
wonderful gift so that I can help your people. Please continue to bless me so that I can
see through everything. You are the alpha and omega, wena nkosi ungumgcini wempilo
zethu, Bukhosi Phalo is about to take a journey, please guide him through all the way,
I'm sending your angels to protect him. Amen"
Me: Amen.
Gogo: We will talk about the payment later on. Just work on yourself these first 3days,
then you can pay me after.
Gogo: Travel safe, and please whatever grudge that you have against your father, it is
not good. You'll both need each other in future. Make peace and your way or life will also
be peaceful.
I nodded
Gogo: Ungahamba ndoda.
I left.
ANDISIWE
My name is Andisiwe, 24 years old. I just graduated from CPUT, but I'm still looking for a
job. Well I'm living at Nyanga with my grandmother(mom's mother) and my two younger
siblings. Our parents died in a car crash, so gogo took us after the funeral of my parents.
So we've been staying with her ever since. She took me to school, made sure that
there's nothing that I need. And luckily NSFAS funded me. So as I'm still looking for a
job, I normally get money from men, ndiyancedisa apha endlini and umakhulu
wandikhuza wandiyeka ngalonto. She always said "Mntanam uzofela emanyaleni kweli
Kapa '' but still andiyeki unguda. I have to put something on the table at the end because
ndimdala. When I saw Bukhosi, I wanted someone who would take care of me and my
family financially. That is why I went to the Sangoma, trust me it worked until I was
caught. But andiyekanga uwasebenzisa. My healer told me that Bukhosi is seeking help,
and I will lose him. He won't see me the way he sees me now.
Someone knocked.
In front of me there were candles. Black candles and red ones with needles on them. I
had Bukhosi and Zikhona's photo, I tore it up.
Me: As I'm tearing this picture, I want you to separate even in life. I want you to be mine
Bukhosi, to be mine alone.
Me: with this powder, I'm blowing away your relationship, Bukhosi I want you to want
nothing to do with Zikhona.
I blew the powder outside the window, I shakeoff my hands. I wore my clothes since I
was wearing nothing. I hide away all my staff and went to cook.
.
ZIKHONA
I was leaning on my mom's chest, we were watching TV in fact the TV was watching me.
I felt the sharp pain again but I paid no attention to it.
Mom and I looked at the door, there he was umntaka mama. I slowly got up and we met
halfway
Mom: Oh umntanam.
Aphiwe: Nozala.
AP: Enough about me, ndisezohlala apha, we are still gonna talk about me a lot, now I
want to know why are your eyes so puffy and swollen?.
Me: No
Mom: Akabethwanga lo qha ulahliwe apha estratweni, Yuh nkosi yam oomheza
bemjongile elila ezibhuqa phantsi.
I did.
He dialed, I was nervous I won't lie but curious at the same time.
BUKHOSI
My phone rang as I was coming out of the shower, ndayibamba, it was Zikhona.
Me: Baby!
"Jonga mfana, if you ever come near my sister again! I will blow your brains out. I don't
even want you to step on her shadow. Boy trust me, you don't want to mess with me.
Kamnandi undazela kula rank, if you ever make her cry again, I will look for you and I will
find you, guess what I will do after finding you. I will cut off your private parts and feed
them to you. Fuck you man" after that he dropped the call.
CHAPTER 24
ZIKHONA
He gave me my phone back, he took his sport bag as he was about to go to the room
mom stopped him. She looked angry.
Mom: Yintoni ngoku wena wakhala ngo fuck kwam? What did I say to you about the
strong language?.
AP: I'm sorry mom, I just lost it. Yazi this mother fucker.. Yoh I mean this guy has hurt
my sister and I meant it when I said ndizombonisa abantu, ndingu Rhadebe mna
andijonge kakuhle.
Mom: I don't want to hear that language again, Yheman umfundisa ntoni lomntana?.
She pointed at me, I couldn't believe uba kulendlu I'm being referred to as a toddler.
Mom: Hopefully you'll be happy even with this war he is starting with that boy you call a
boyfriend.
BUKHOSI
I was so angry after that phone call, that boy has no manners, yes I know I've hurt her
sister but he enters nowhere. This is Zikhona and my business, akangeni ndawo ubhuti
wakhe.
"Jha" he answered
Me: Taima lentwana uAphiwe ibuyile and he is threatening me for hurting her sister.
He sighed.
Me: Ewe
Buja: Lantwana incinci? Hayi marn sufeketha wena. And please don't involve me with
kulento yenu because you know that boy works for me when he is here in the Cape, you
shouldn't have messed with her sister nawe. And lastly you are disturbing me, I'm busy
listening to this madness.
"Tututu" he dropped.
It seems like I have no one to talk to, I can't even call my mother because dad told her to
cut all ties with me. So I have to wait for her call, not uba mna ndimfownele.
I wanted to call Andisiwe, I was missing her so much. I don't know what was happening
but I developed strong feelings for her.
ANDISIWE
Me: Yuh makhulu you are exaggerating now.
I was in stitches, laughing so loud, granny was telling me her stories (ezokukhula).
Me: Hey
Me: Sorry about that ingxaki bendihleli no makhulu but now I'm in my room.
He sighed
Bukho: Can we talk about this facial, I'm in your hood, ndizolanda wena.
I got so excited, I took my herbs washed my face and my private part with them "I want
you to stick on me Bukhosi Phalo, be mine alone" I said as I was washing my vagina.
I wore my short dress, made sure that it reveals my yellow thighs. I combed my straight
weave and took my phone.
Bukho: Hey
I smiled.
Bukho: Mhh!
He looked at me
I unbuckled his belt, opened the zip of his jean. He was erected, I lowered so that I can
give him the blow job, I sucked his tip and I moaned so did he. I sucked him, deep
throat. He was moaning but now driving slowly, his eyes were so sexy I kept on looking
at them.
I continued with my job, he came on my mouth. I swallowed and licked my hand that had
his cum, I could see that he was turned on by what I was doing.
ZIKHONA
"Ngena" he said
I did
He was busy doing push ups and listening to music with his headphones, he took them
off.
Me: You know what, I will visit you when you are in a good mood.
AP: Haybo Zee but you know I'm always in a good mood for you, it's just that I'm doing
my workout now, then I will call you after my Herbalife zoom meeting.
AP: Hay khawuphume sisi we will talk about that after the meeting.
Mxm I left.
I checked my phone, I had a message from Ntsika, "Thandolwam hopefully you are
okay, I've been trying to call you but awufumaneki wena. Goodnight".
Ntsika: Nkosazana
Ntsika: I'm good, please drop, I will call you. I don't want you to waste your airtime.
I dropped, he called
Me: I wasn't feeling okay but now Ndi right. Anyways thanks for checking up on me.
Me: Goodnight.
He chuckled.
He dropped.
I was tempted to call Bukhosi and my heart was beating so fast. I called, it rang two
times without being held. Finally he picked up
Me: Hey.
Voice: Hey, Bukhosi is still busy in the kitchen but I can take a message.
I dropped, I had a very heavy heart but I told myself that I will not cry for him anymore. I
just laid on my bed.
ANDISIWE
After that girl called, I deleted the call log so that Bukhosi won't see that she called.
I took the plate, we ate and I took the dishes to the kitchen. I went back to the bedroom.
Bukho: I love you Andisiwe, and I'm so sorry for accusing you of using witchcraft on me.
Me: To be honest, I was hurt. I don't wanna lie. I was asking myself how could you say
such about me? Do you hate me so much Bukhosi for uba undityhole ngothakatha? I will
never use muthi on anyone.
Bukho: Baby I will be leaving Cape Town tomorrow, can we please go and start our life
together? Please.
CHAPTER 25
ZEE
I don't know when did scrimped last night. I can't believe that Bukhosi got back to
Andisiwe, she nearly killed me. He was willing to make us work but he just left me like
this. I was still buried in my thoughts, Aphiwe barged in wearing his tracksuit bottoms, I
assumed he's coming from his morning jog. He pulled my covers, he can be annoying.
I said angrily
Aphiwe: With this negative energy you have hayi mntase you need some Herbalife
breakfast, let's go to the kitchen and you'll make tea while I'm busy blending the shake.
Aphiwe: Go and wash your face, brush your teeth while I'm making your bed.
Me: What's the use of eating Herbalife products kodwa I don't even exercise?
Aphiwe: You talk too much ingxaki yakho, just do as I say because after breakfast I am
taking you out.
Me: Whaaat?
I said excitedly
ANDISIWE
I am so glad that I finally won this man, he is mine for good now. We just had our steamy
morning session, he was taking a bath in the bathroom. I was preparing breakfast. I
poured the love potion in his scrambled eggs, my healer told me it was tasteless.
"Ndikhethe wena, ndikhethe wena" that was him. I felt him hugging me from behind, he
whispered in my ears
I blushed
Bukho: I mean it babe, I am not just singing this song, I love you Andisiwe and I can not
wait to start my life with you, I will love you till death do us apart.
He moved from me and sat on the high chair. I gave him his food.
I watched him as he was eating all his food. I smiled and sipped my coffee.
He nodded
Me: Papa
Ogi: Don't tell me that, I need you here now. If you don't come, I will make your life
miserable, enjoy that weak relationship while it lasts and know that I also want you here.
This is starting to be a mess, papa wants to own me. The thing is, ever since I started
consulting him he gives me a discount to the muthi but I have to give him a blow job, so I
have been doing that ever since. I went back to the kitchen. He was done eating
Me: My cousin called me and informed me about the death of her mother, umakazi wam.
Bukho: Today is our last day here so let's go to the waterfront, you need to clear your
mind babe.
BUKHOSI
I don't know what is happening to me but the way I love Andisiwe is unexplainable.
I rinsed the plate and went to the room. I wore my denim shorts, white polo golf T-shirt
and white all star. I ironed Andy's short dress that she left here. I was tempted to call
Zikhona just to ask her but I was scared at the same time. I thought of his brother's
threats, so I decided to delete her number. It's time for me to start my life with the love of
my life.
CHAPTER 26
ZEE
AP: It seems like you're forgetting who you are talking to.
AP: I forgot my shades yazi, let's go to Mr Price so that we can buy a few items there
including new shades.
ANDY
We were already in the car, my mind was far away, I wanted an excuse so that I could
see papa Ogi..
Bukho: Andisiwe!!!
He snapped
Bukho: Are you really gonna say that kodwa I've been calling your name, what are you
thinking sisi?
I sighed
Me: Nothing
Bukho: It's better to be nothing because you seem to be buried in your thoughts.
I just kept quiet, he started the car. We drove to the Cape Town CBD.
"That is a start my dear, real troubles are coming, you'll fight like cat and a dog" that was
a message from him, my heart was beating fast. I switched off my phone.
ZEE
I laughed
AP: I will detox all these fats dade, don't worry about Herbalife president.
BUKHO
Andy was off all the way, I tried to crack jokes to her but she was in no mood.
She snapped
She looked at me
I grabbed her hand, we were inside the mall. We went to the car. I opened the door for
her and I also got in.
Me: This is the last time you are talking to me like that, uyandiva?
Me: When I talk you listen, and answer when I need an answer, uyandiva?
Me: Good girl, now we will go home, pack our things, act like nothing happened. We
have to leave early in the morning tomorrow. We will act like we never had this problem,
ndiyavakala?
Me: Good.
ZEE
I really had a good day with my brother, we drove home. We were listening to
AmaPiano. Trust my brother for acting cool.
Mom was making dinner when we get home.
She closed the oven and took off the oven gloves.
Mom: I don't think so, he was with some girl, a short and thick yellow bone.
Mom: Yeyy! You never told me that guy is violent, the way he grabbed that girl, yho
mntanam bendinentloni.
I was shocked, I don't wanna lie. My phone rang, it was Ntsika, I went to my room to
speak with him.
CHAPTER 27
ANDY
Whatever that papa is doing to Bukho and I it's really working, the drive to his house was
silent. I was looking outside the window.
I said nothing, not that I had nothing to say but I was still shocked by the way he acted
earlier on. Ndamdlula stood on the veranda waiting for him to open up. He did, I went
straight to the bedroom. I took out my pyjamas and wore them, as I was doing all of that
he was leaning on the door frame, his hands were in his pockets. We were looking at
each other in the mirror.
I looked at him
I nodded
He made his way to me, I shivered and the memory of him slapping me came back. I
quickly got up from the chair and moved back.
Me: No I'm not but I need to make the bed, kufuneka silele.
We broke it
Makhulu: Ndiyaphila mntanam, when are you coming home? I can't take care of the kids
on my own
Me: Uhm! Makhulu that is what I am calling you about. I'm leaving Cape Town for good.
Me: I'm moving to the Eastern Cape with Bukhosi. I will look for a job on that side.
Makhulu: You know that I'm not okay, ndiyagula Andisiwe. Do you think your mother
would have wanted you to go around with boys? Why ungakhathali mntanam? Bazothini
abantwana?
Me: I have made a decision, makhulu. I will ask my friend Pamela to fetch all my
documents and other important stuff there, and she will courier them. Please take care.
Makhulu: You've never cared for us, today you've just confirmed intsolo zam. I promised
your mother that I will take care of you all but wena wenza lento uyenzayo, hopefully
abuzokuxaka ubomi mntanam ubuyele apha.
No one will stop me from going, and I will look for another healer on that side. I want to
control this man.
ZEE
He was in stitches
Me: Ukugezela i waitress has a sense of humor? He said "I would like to order a full
chicken of shark" Haybo uAphiwe Ntsika!
He was laughing.
Ntsika: I would like to see him one day akhe ayicacise uba what did he think.
Me: Yuh hayi the poor waitress just stood there engazazi noba makathini umntana
bantu.
Me: I doubt
Ntsika: Umh! So when are we going out? Mna nawe kengoku, I promise I won't
embarrass you.
I sighed
Me: I don't know if my leave is about to end, ndishiyekelwe yi two days qha.
Ntsika: Yeah! So I'm only giving you usuku lwangomso then we will be going out.
I chuckle
Me: Okay!
I sat on top of the bed. Ntsika is a good guy but I'm scared to love again. All I get is
heartbreak in my relationships.
CHAPTER 28
BUKHO
It was 3am when I woke up, ndavusa Andisiwe. I showered and wore a warm tracksuit.
She was busy bathing while I was loading the bags in the car. I called Tar Buja to inform
him.
It rang twice
He sounded sleepy
Me: Sorry marn taima, I wanted to let you know that I'm about to go now, I'll leave the
house keys under the bin.
Buja: Okay, so what must I do with them? Because I have my own house remember?
Me: Please take care of this house, I know it's safe with you.
Buja: Sure, please take care. I will call your father and let him know.
Buja: I will let you for now but you must look for your own place, mtshana.
Me: I promise
Buja: Good, one of my guys saw you pulling roughly some girl eMall. Are you a violent
ngoku?
Buja: Was it Zikhona? Khona, where's the girl that bewitched you? Are you still using
iziwasho zika gogo?
Me: No it was not Zikhona, we broke up. I'm officially dating Andisiwe and we are going
together.
He chuckled
Buja: Iziwasho?
Me: I don't need them, lamama is fake marn taima. Let me get going. Bye
He dropped. I went inside to check on Andisiwe, she was already dressed in her
tracksuit, we were gonna use my car. We ate and locked, sahamba.
ZEE
"Please don't leave me please!!" He was drowning in mudy water and I couldn't save him
"Bukhosiiiii" I screamed.
Oh my God I'm dreaming, I was sweaty and shivering. I kneeled down and prayed.
ANDY
He was driving too fast, I was sure by 2pm we would be in the Eastern Cape. He was
quiet, I wanted to break the ice.
Me: Babe
Bukho: Mhm!
Bukho: We are going to East London. You know that my father and I are not speaking to
each other.
I kept quiet and looked outside the windows, grandma's words were ringing in my head.
But I don't care if I am doing this. I slept while he was driving.
ZEE
I woke up at 8am, prepared breakfast for everyone. Aphiwe came into the kitchen
shirtless, I think he was working out.
Nazo: Please check your WhatsApp. I've sent you a picture that is trending on
Facebook. Apparently there was an accident in the Kwi tunnel this morning and that car
looks like Bukhosi's car.
Me: Whaaaat?
She hung up
I checked! Oh no!!!
