Chichen Itza, Mexico

Chichen Itza is an ancient Mayan city located in the Yucatán Peninsula of


Mexico. It was one of the most important Mayan centres during the Classic
period (250-900 AD). The city is home to a number of impressive structures,
including the El Castillo Pyramid, the Temple of the Warriors, and the Great
Ball Court.
2. Colosseum, Italy

The Colosseum is an ancient amphitheatre located in the centre of Rome. It


was built in the first century AD and was used for gladiatorial contests, public
executions, and other events. The Colosseum is one of the most iconic
landmarks in the world and is a symbol of the Roman Empire .

Christ the Redeemer is a statue of Jesus Christ located on Corcovado
Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is one of the largest statues of Jesus
Christ in the world and is a popular tourist destination. Christ the Redeemer
is a symbol of Christianity and is also a popular icon of Brazil.

The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications that were built over
centuries to protect the Chinese Empire from invaders. It is one of the
longest man-made structures in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage
Site. The Great Wall of China is a symbol of China's long history and culture.
5. Machu Picchu, Peru
Machu Picchu is an ancient Inca city located in the Andes Mountains of Peru.
It was built in the 15th century and was abandoned a century later. Machu
Picchu is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South America and is
known for its stunning mountaintop setting. It was chosen as one of the new

6. Petra, Jordan

Petra is a vast, rose-red city carved into the sandstone cliffs of Jordan. It is
one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world and is a UNESCO
World Heritage Site. Petra was the capital of the Nabataean Kingdom, which
flourished from the 1st century BC to the 2nd century AD. The Nabataean
Arabs were skilled traders and Petra became a major trading center on the
Silk Road.
7. Taj Mahal, India
The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, India. It
was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife,
Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is one of the most iconic buildings in
the world and is a symbol of love and devotion. It is a UNESCO World
Heritage Site and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in
India.
