STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

“Knowledge, experience and the quality education are the best accomplishment in the race of
life” is the statement in which I vehemently believe and I forever yearn to have that. What is
innovative today is obsolete tomorrow. We need to constantly streamline and upgrade our tools
and resources. I believe that only an in-depth study and extensive research in my field of interest
will help me to achieve my goal. I live in a world of changing times where studies are constantly
engineering better lives. Brought up in a liberalized, humane and a capriciously charged
environment, I see myself being a consistent part of constant changes around me. Today, my
thoughts and aims in life spring from and center around the world of Engineering. The above-
mentioned attributes made me acquire the program of Engineering Management M.S. at the
University of Houston Clear Lake. I present my statement of purpose which represents my
intension to study further in reputed country as well as at reputed college.
My educational journey began at Shree Narayan Vidhyalaya, where I completed my Schooling
under the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. Following this, I was
admitted to the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad, where I am currently
pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a commendable CGPA of 8.83.
Alongside my core curriculum, I have undertaken a minor degree in Specialization in 3D Printing
Technology, gaining expertise in Additive Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping. I have also
participated in workshops on Industrial Robotics Technology, where I had the opportunity to lead
as well. Throughout my undergraduate tenure, I have been actively involved in hands-on projects
focusing on Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), swarm robotics, and Biofuel-based automobiles,
where I assumed the role of group leader, overseeing and coordinating the efforts of my team in
each project. These experiences have not only deepened my technical proficiency but have also
reinforced my passion for Management skill.
My professional background encompasses internships that have provided me with valuable
insights and practical skills in the field of mechanical engineering, preparing me for graduate
studies. Currently, I am gaining hands-on experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Schott
Poonawalla Pvt Ltd., located in Unit 5, Jambusar, Gujarat. In this role, I am immersed in
autonomous systems in manufacturing, performing tasks such as preventive maintenance,
machine breakdown analysis, and die design. Previously, as an Engineer Intern at Apollo Tyres
Ltd., located in Village Limda, Vadodara, Gujarat, I focused on process optimization, machinery
maintenance, and quality control within tyre production. These internships have not only
enhanced my technical skills but have also instilled in me a strong work ethic, problem-solving
abilities, and an ability to adapt to diverse environments, all of which are essential for success in
graduate studies.
My educational background has prepared me well for the Engineering Management program at
the University of Houston Clear Lake. I completed my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with
distinction, which provided me with a strong foundation in engineering principles and problem-
solving skills. Throughout my studies, I developed a keen interest in the management aspects of
engineering projects, particularly in optimizing processes, managing resources, and leading teams
to successful project outcomes. Additionally, my engineering subjects related to Business
Administration has equipped me with essential knowledge in areas such as organizational
behavior, project management, and operational research, which I believe will complement my
studies in engineering management. I am eager to further enhance my skills and knowledge in
engineering management at UHCL, where I can leverage both my engineering expertise and
business acumen to excel in the field.
Ultimately, I aim to return to India and establish my own business, focusing on addressing societal
needs through engineering management. With an access to top-notch faculty and rigorous
academic training, I am confident that this program will equip me with the skills and knowledge
needed to make meaningful contributions
My decision to pursue a master's degree in Engineering Management in the USA is fueled by the
country's renowned education system and vibrant academic culture, offering exposure to diverse
perspectives and cutting-edge opportunities. I chose the USA for its reputation as a global leader
in technology and management, providing unparalleled resources and a vibrant academic
community.
I am compelled by University of Houston Clear Lake due to its distinguished faculty members who
excel in their respective fields, as well as the depth and quality of research conducted within the
campus. The opportunity to collaborate with dedicated educators who actively engage in
engineering decision-making serves as a primary motivation for my choice. UHCL's unwavering
commitment to providing students with exceptional educational and training opportunities
resonates with my pursuit of a high-quality education. I am particularly impressed by the

innovation, and personal growth. I believe that UH Clear Lake will provide me with the resources,
