2. Preliminary design concept with the site plan, basic plans, sections etc., is to be submitted at the end of the first
day. Acopy of this scheme (preliminary sketches) may be retained in the examination hal for students reference.
3. No Major deviations from this scheme (preliminary sketches) shall be permitted.
4. All answers must be written in English language only.
5. Assume suitable data wherever necessary and mention it at the appropriate place.

CONVENTION CENTER AT BHOPAL

Project brief:

Bhopal the capital city of the state of Madhya Pradesh is known as the 'City of Lokes'due to its various natural and
artificial lakes. It is also one of the greenest cities in India. Bhopal has a strong economic base with numerous large
and medium industries operating in and around the city. Bhopal is considered one of the important financial and
economic destinations, Ministry of tourism development &Government of M.P. has decided to build a convention
centre in Bhopal. It is proposed with a vision that the Built structure should be a symbol of art with its exceptional
grandeur and world class facilities, all set to serve the business needs, This centre will facilitate people across the
Nation, to host seminars, conferences, meetings, permanent exhibitions and will provide a forum for discussion on
various Issues relating to State and the Natlon.
