Introduction

Employability can be defined as the vital characteristics, behaviours, attitude, and

ethics that candidates must meet to satisfy employers (Lindsay and McQuaid, 2005).
Employability skills are essential in today's working areas. Without employability
skills business can’t stand out in today's economy. Global employability varies in
recent years according to movement in capital, labour, goods, and services.
Financial globalisation also increases according to high demand in the tertiary
sector. Globalisation creates competition between job seekers since the companies
have a larger pool of labourers. The rise of automation people is working from
conventional areas. Work from home is a common way now in the employability life.
In this assignment, I will present the importance of employability skills in the job
application letter for my applying role as a client advisor of Louis Vuitton as a global
employability involvement. It will include my employability skills for exploiting to fit in
the employment criteria along with my client advisor position to apply. The
importance of leveraging feedback for my performance development and adapting to
the new role is also considered.
Task 1

( i ) Why I am suitable for the client advisor role

Self-management skill contributes to self-development through monitoring,

controlling and direct aspects of work. Employability skills are the value investment in
the company expected by an employer like Louis Vuitton. As a LV’s client advisor
retaining the brand position with personal presentation skills including dress up and
confidence to attract luxury clients is considered. Collaboration with influencers in my
experience in Nike generated the sales volume and maintained a professional brand
enhancement. As a result, I learnt the importance of my personal presentation
representing the brand identity and communicating the product visibilities to valuable
clients effectively.

Working together with colleagues needs contribution, collaboration, and cooperation

to gain productive work. Approaching attentive communication and effective listening
to clients for a valuable relationship like explaining about the Phuket’s watchmaking
and high jewellery presentation aligned to my past working experiences in
SanChaneMhee jewellery. For instance, I adopted a story telling option for the
craftsmanship to client preferences for an exclusive luxury shopping experience.

Accountability not only reflects a good personality but also builds trust with
stakeholders. Due to my past issues occurring in Nike, my past issues in Nike made
me realise the importance of integrity and double checks that if I send out wrong
email, I immediately took responsibility by sending a follow-up email to apologise and
resend the right one again. This results in representing a strong brand reputation that
ensures precise information transmission for an exclusive customer experience.

LV approaches sustainability by recycling 93% of their event materials to reach

100% in 2025 using advanced technology which aligns with my passion for
sustainability (Vuitton, 2023). A client advisor is responsible for delivering the right
message to clients about the brand. I am willing to approach informative advertising
on sustainable luxury trends during client consultations about their choices on luxury
bags such as “summer collection”.

(ii) Why I am suitable for the Louis Vuitton company

Employers expect employability skills including hard skills and soft skills in
candidates for the selection of criteria to choose in a modern workplace for a unique
employee. Doing things right for the first time seems like an employee is saving time
and money for the organisation without any errors, delays, and cancellation.

LV’s creation resonates with me intensely with my values to sustainability, creation

and innovation principles adhere to my professional life. Life 360 sustainability plan
reflects the company's forward-thinking system which meets my passion for
sustainability integration with creativity (LVMH, 2023). For example, sponsoring the
outfit using recycled materials for a Hollywood star in the Met Gala may showcase
the sustainability commitment of LV creates competitive advantage among other
competitors.

My career defines my focus on building strong relationships with customers by

anticipating customer needs and preferences. My passion for luxury fashion drives
me to work in a rich history and ideal figure in the luxury industry where I can learn
about new innovations integrated with craftmanship. I am willing to share my
learning through storytelling and PR launches to educate my clients about the brand.
I will exploit my recent experience gained in the “techsense” workshop which is a
combination of fashion and technology in ArtScience Galleries in Singapore. This
can result in gaining positive impacts for advising clients about fashion related to
technology. My belief in collaboration and teamwork resonates with LV’s
collaborative culture defines the importance of the value of working together towards
shared goals. My flexibility skills will make me learn the company culture instantly
which can bring high productivity to my work in LV.

I can communicate with clients via mails and consultation for new limited offers
based on past purchasing history by collaborating with AI for last handbags, evening
wear, outfits and current fashion trends can result in gaining brand advantage. I can
engage the clients through private event invitations like “ready-to–wear week”,
exclusive shopping nights for VIP customers and follow up activities for showcasing
new collections. I believe my values can add to the brand with positive impacts to
approach customer satisfaction as a client advisor.

(c) Application Letter for LV’s client advisor job post

Khant Kyaw Zaw

Starcity, B5 -816 Thanlyin Township Yangon
[email protected]

Dear Recruitment Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the Client Advisor position at Louis Vuitton, as

advertised on LinkedIn. With a proven record in advising clients and my ability to
rapport with clients, I am willing to contribute to your brand. I believe my
communication skills and analytical skills can establish a solid foundation for
customer satisfaction.

Due to upbringing and in-depth knowledge of the Thailand market, I understand the
local market dynamics, customer preferences by creating insights for personalised
strategies and become a unique candidate among all applicants. Through this
knowledge, I can align my commitment to sustainability with Louis Vuitton’s global
ethos. My leadership skills and creativity gained through an ABE Level 3 Diploma in
Business Essentials and interactive experience in CSR campaigns at Nike, have
gained me the ability to contribute effectively to Louis Vuitton’s goals. I am
particularly interested in the “LV The Place Bangkok” project and able to leverage my
expertise to anticipate client needs for exclusive service.

By conducting SWOT analysis, I can see my career passing through with my

employability skills and knowledge. As a strength, I successfully implemented
marketing campaigns in SanCheinMhee Gems & Jewellery and Nike Myanmar via
innovative digital promotions. Moreover, I implemented CRM software to enhance
customer relationships by utilising eco-friendly materials to reflect brand perception.
A key weakness I faced at Nike was that misleading information sent via email made
me realise the importance of attention to details and my strong sense of
responsibility at the Client Advisor role in LV. I can conduct a personal development
plan for enhancing customer experiences through reflections and feedback from my
colleagues while building the sales growth of LV in Phuket.

Thank you for considering my application. I hope you may consider my application to
discuss how my experience can benefit LV’s Phuket’s team.
Best Regards,
Khant Kyaw Zaw

Task 3

(a) How my CV can be used in the recruitment and selection process

A well-presented CV is crucial for an employer to analyse the applicants including

outlining the skills and experiences aligned to the LV’s job description, presenting
how my employability skills can add value to LV. Recruiters use screening tests
including personality tests and aptitude tests while choosing the best suitable
applicants. I reflect the job description by highlighting employability skills including
problem-solving and responsibility to showcase my ability to meet the criteria they
set.
As a result, it makes me stand out among other applicants and creates the best
potential to become an employee. Adding the LinkedIn link to the CV makes it more
realistic with additional information about my professional journey, milestones,
collaborations, and achievements such as Fit way Gym or marketing efforts including
social influencers.
Companies utilise assessment centres to analyse candidates' ability through
exercises such as in-tray exercises, presentations, and group exercises. Preparing
these exercises through such practices at assessment centres for evaluating
candidates’ employability skills is important. I approached linking my past
experiences as a marketing manager to the LV client advisor role’s duties and
responsibilities, defining how I fit for this position. During my presentation at
assessment centres, I will highlight my suitability for client advisor role which
includes client relations, consultations, and management.

(b) Preparation for an interview for client advisor role in LV

Interview preparation for a client advisor role is required with detailed presentation of
personification and important documentation. Before the interview, I will study Louis
Vuitton brand value and history to understand the company’s growth journey in the
luxurious market, I will keep myself understandable about the unique selling point
and brand's commitment to craftsmanship for leather bags, outfits, and shoes so I
can develop their strategies aligning to my past role in Nike as a marketing assistant.

Secondly, I will practise some potential questions for interviews such as-
● “How will you keep a strong relationship with clients?”
● “How do you ask clients about their feelings on purchased LV products?”
● “What makes you want a job in LV?”
● “What are your critical thinking skills you applied in your past job?”.
Throughout this practice, I can present effectively how to gain customer
relationships, feedback, motivation, and critical thinking skills to satisfy the
interviewers and differentiate in the shortlisting process.

I will study LV’s sustainability goals as the company approaches sustainable and
eco-friendly practices such as 55% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030
(LVMH, 2024). I will examine its organisational culture and ethics for presenting
how I fit for LV as a client advisor role in the interviewing session. I will research
past successful LV employee interviews on social media to predict the interview
session.

Grooming tips are important since LV values strict attire so paying attention to
fashion blogs for presenting myself with classic and timeless pieces reflecting
modern culture is considered.

Next, I will review job advertisements to check my skills and educational

background in my CV fits with their requirements and guidelines. I will provide
more copies on the CV, my education, qualification certificates, portfolio of work
samples with pen and notes to improve discussions with interviewers and
highlight my qualifications as a memory that ensures a well- resourced interview.
I am bringing my identity document such as my passport, National ID card and
Social Security Funds registration, bank statements for allowing my employer to
see my identity align with the legal requirements. Bringing hard copies of
curriculum vitae and cover letters are important as a backup plan to any technical
problems. With this preparation and the right documents, I am confident that I
can approach my client advisor interview with confidence and professionalism.

According to the STAR method, I faced a critical situation along with my

Bangkok’s VIP customer’s dissatisfaction about the aqua snake gemstone which
reflects my responsibility to identify the client’s preferences and manage luxury
client relations. I collaborated with the design department for inventing faceted
gemstone using CAD and offered an invitation to the clients for a private luxury
venue resulting in 15% in VIP sales.

Task 4
How to integrate into the new role of client advisor and become an effective
contributor within the team

By evaluating my past role as a marketing manager and shifting to client advisor,

exploring new adventurous and exciting experiences in a new luxury corporate
company like Louis Vuitton Phuket as a Client Advisor role and a key member of the
team is vital for both personal and professional development.

1. Studying new role

Shifting to a Client advisor role from a Marketing manager requires understanding

the role and responsibilities of the new client advisor position is important. As an
example, “LV the Place Bangkok” launch events require effective event management
skills such as invitation to VIP clients to smoothen logistics and drive sales (Andreas,
2024).

2. Adapting to the LV environment with team dynamics

Being flexible to the workplace by finishing the work on time , accepting whenever
the role is needed to be switched aligning with LV’s casual dress code resulting in
effective brand representation which I will adopt by seeking mentors’ guidance over
company cultures and go through employee handbooks for policies like LV’s Life 360
to reduce 30% of water usage by 2030 (Safaya, 2023).

3. Learning and Development

Continuous learning programs such as on-the-job-coaching, on-demand learning for

bag- exchange programs and participating at Louis Vuitton & LVMH (LOUIS
VUITTON JOBS,2022) contribute to my personal development showcasing diversity
for acceptance of different team members culture, sex, religion, and race etc for
effective teamwork.

Belbin Role

Belbin suggests an effective contributor in a team must have nine team roles to play
individual roles based on different types of performance and norms. According to the
new CEO and president Michael Burke unique strategic vision, his leadership
strategies take part in the success of fashion houses (Gagliardi, 2024). According to
Belbin, I can gather trendy design sources such as luxury Barbie collections, Women
Spring-Summer 2024 Collections as a resource investigator. I can explore my team-
working by aligning my experience to the company mission” The Art of Crafting
Dreams” (LVMH, 2024). LV’s 300 Client Advisor handles the communication
channels effectively which I will contribute to my implementation role by putting plans
into action (Louis Vuitton, 2024).

My integration journey aligns with the Tuckman Model of team development which
are-

1. Forming

As a new client advisor, it is vital to fit with the brand's model by joining intensive
induction training to familiarise with the company’s history and serve quality
standards to customers. As a result, I can build a strong base under pressure and
maintain LV’s greatest reputation.
2. Storming

Storming stage requires strong communication between colleagues for

demonstrating alternative perspectives working under pressure. As an example,
Avenue Montaigne Flagship stores advisors openly communicate through
discussions using the Kaizen method where all the employees discuss together for
customer interactions by resolving conflicts to create meaningful outcomes for luxury
experiences.

3. Norming

Listening to colleagues' feedback reflects respected ethics and norms can lead to
easier access for integration into client advisor roles along with improvement in
personal growth. Building-team movements approach trust and relevant
communication.

4. Performing

As a client advisor in LV, I can create open dialogue and team building tasks to
expand strengths for the company developments. LV client advisors can gain great
performance and deliver seamless experiences by focusing on strategies
development for rising demand on seasonal trends such as Louis Vuitton Cruise.

Employee’s performance must be aligned to LV team objectives “Be creative and

innovative” and utilising feedback from colleagues contribute to successful projects
(LVMH,2024). Going extra miles beyond my role can enhance the client relations
such as solving challenges related to service delivery or inventory management for
maintaining relationships with colleagues as well.

Word count- 611 words

Task 5

Using feedback by work colleagues and line managers during the first six
months of work to improve the performance in the workplace as a Client
Advisor

Feedback is the exchange learning from managers and colleagues' contribution in

improvement for a client advisor role during my first six months which I have
implemented per following.

Louis Vuitton’s brand reputation requires sufficient product knowledge and customer
satisfaction which can be gained through two types of feedback which are-

1. Formal Feedback

Formal feedback means probationary reviews or performance development reviews

(PDR) for adapting to LV’s culture of luxury experience where customer satisfaction
and product knowledge is important. If my manager identifies struggles in upselling
during my probationary reviews, I may improve my sales techniques via his
suggestions.

2. Informal Feedback

Informal feedback allows for immediate response and suggestions towards the
improvement in advising clients such as developing craftsman knowledge for LV may
need training or fixing my communication style.

Reflections on feedback provides a link between performance and required growth

areas such as weak performance in upselling or cross selling can occur issues. For
example, If I understand the communication style is formal in advising clients on
summer trends, my colleague's reflection is important in approaching effective
outcomes. If I lack product recommendations based on the client's personalised
service, reflections may inform the need for training which I can develop in my further
projects for craftsmanship.
Business objectives must be clear and specified since the colleagues must
understand the direction of the goal when setting SMART goals as a client role
advisor based on feedback reflection.

As a client advisor in LV, objectives must be clear and specified to be

understandable about the direction of the goal by setting SMART goals-

Specific- Increase cross-selling by 20% within two months.

Measurable- Sell 15 LV’s leather goods in three months.

Achievable- Establish strong relations with customers for repeatable purchases.

Relevant- Conduct follow-up activities by offering streamline customer experience.

Time-bound- Achieve these objectives within three months.

Steve Jobs once said “We don’t get a chance to do that many things, and everyone
should be excellent. Because this is our life.” I will explore colleagues and clients’
feedback to improve the use of SMART goals. I will evaluate the responses if they
show lack of product knowledge, I can focus on the target on the product lines
specifically such as scarves and belts. As a result, I can offer better suggestions on
personalised fashion and deliver after sales service to my clients as a striving for
excellence.

Personal Development Plan

Developing employability skills is vital which can be gained by learning. Feedback

reflects my weak areas such as development of product knowledge, I may approach
storytelling, attending training or learning from expertise. By engaging in these
sequences, I can gain both personal development and professional growth, meeting
LV's standards. Regular monitoring is important. After practising the actions
according to feedback, seeking evaluation progress from a manager will strengthen
the LV’s performance. Moreover, studying customer satisfaction scores can improve
the refining process. Viewing feedback with a growth mindset is impactful to
professional and personal growth which will align with the LV’s cultural environment.
The most competitive industry creates rapid evolution on fashion trends which
requires an employer to be adaptable and learn the performance elevation expected
by LV’s employer. Striving for excellence can deliver seamless experience to clients
and approach continuous improvement which will enhance brand reputation.

Conclusion

To conclude, my employability skills are required to be a client advisor in LV and

prepare an effective curriculum vitae (CV), resume and application letter to
strengthen my potential for employment. My skill set evaluation for contributing to the
success of integrating to the new role as a client advisor in LV. Seeking, reflecting,
and acting on feedback for the improvement in employability performance by
highlighting the personal development goals for smoothening the probationary period
for being an asset to the company as a client advisor role.
