Course Policies:
Attendance You are encouraged to actively attend the classes. This may influence your
letter grade at the end of the semester. In order to be admitted to the final
examination, a student must have an overall grade at the end of the
semester exceeding 25 out of 100. Students not fulfilling this condition will
not be permitted to enter the final examination. Students not given the
permission to take the final examination will automatically receive the grade
NA at the end of the semester.
Make-Up Exams Each student can receive a single make-up exam per semester merely due to
a legitimate reason such as illness, which should be proved by supplying
official documentation. The make-up exam will be offered after the Final
exam at the end of the semester. For the make-up exam, you will be
responsible from all the covered topics throughout the semester. Unless you
take the make-up exam, for the missed term and final exams you will receive
a zero grade.
Use of Calculators You may use a scientific calculator during exams. Programming the calculator
before or during the exams is not allowed.
Plagiarism Plagiarism is a very serious offence and will be penalized accordingly by the
course lecturer and the university disciplinary committee. For more
information, please refer to:

Disability Support If you have a condition which may interfere with your ability to successfully
attend or complete this course, please contact the disability support office.

Late Homeworks For each day after the announced deadline, 50% of the total earned mark
will be deducted.
