Life could have been empty and useless and even undetermined

without dreams. Dreams act as guide to the path where we ought to be. As
young as we are, we have our dreams and aspirations and certainly, we
share one purpose - to help and serve the humanity.
It was 8:00 in the morning and I just woke up. I know it’s late but it is
the reward I gave myself from a 5-day mission in the hinterlands teaching
the indigenous people with basic reading and writing. That mission was
headed by the European group of educators and my team and I were asked
to go with them since I am the Secretary of Education here in the Philippines.
Anyways, I thank God for weekends for it somehow gives me little time to
relax. After my morning devotions, I felt my stomach needs a refill so I went
to the counter thinking what good food I should cook. I had a chance to
glance at the cook book authored by the most popular chef in London and
who owns numerous famous restaurant around the globe – Elijah Cloud
Alcopra. This keen young man knows a real deal!
As I was enjoying my meal, I thought of the tasks needed to be
accomplished next week and arranged them on my mind. “All righty!
Everything is settled then!” I exclaimed to myself. Nothing to do today so I
need to move my feet and travel places I have never been before. After
preparing the stuff I need for the travel, I grabbed my camera and went
outside and breathe in fresh air. “Ohh, this is the life!” I murmured. I am very
proud of my elementary classmate Roniel Bryan Magsalay who designed
these elegant, big, modern infrastructures around me. I'm always in
admiration when I see his brilliant creations. I continued to walk, still
wondering where to go, I saw Jian L. Tahud, Shahzadi Elham Mutia, and
Angely Chrisyle Aguaviva dining in the restaurant, perhaps they are having
their meeting regarding on the latest huge corruption case here in the
Philippines. I heard from the national news that they are the lawyers hired by
the Philippine Government to solve the case. So, I did not bother them and
continued to roam around the city. After a while of walking, I bumped to
Ansell Jhan Kudimos, saying goodbye to his beautiful wife and two lovely
daughter as he will head to another country for a mission. The State offered
help to end the terrorism in Kazakhstan. I am so proud of him being member
of the world’s deadliest elite fighting force – the scout rangers and my former
classmate is the commander! Of course, I said hi to him and to his family and
went on my journey. At last! I know where to go. I finally had the chance to
visit the biggest Art Museum in Asia. I went inside the museum and
examined every bold, contemporary, creative, abstract form of art hanged
on the walls and displayed in the corner. I am mesmerized by how human
brain can transform emotions and feelings into fine work of art. As I was
walking through the galleries, I saw this very aesthetic, creative, medieval
work of art which was spotlighted in a spacious corner surrounded by many
museum-goer. I approached the jaw-dropping artwork and I can’t believe
that it was made by someone I know. I didn’t know that Satchie Chezelle
Awid pursued her dreams to become an artist. And now, she’s not just any
artist but a famous artist known worldwide! I passed by a room full of her
majestic creations and it happened she was selling them so I bought one. I
took my phone out and processed a million-peso purchase. After my
purchase, as I was about to return my phone in my pocket, It suddenly
vibrated and the notification says, “The Scientist who made living on Mars
possible.” “Wow!” I played the interview in NASA and Emadoddeen U.
Cayongcat together with two other astronauts shared their experiences
during their stay in Mars. I always know he can do it and he did it! I thought
to myself.
I went back to my hotel and immediately hanged the painting I bought,
still in awe of it. I sat on the couch and stretched my legs from an all-day
walk. I turned on the TV and Athena Mikhylla Hamili’s latest music video was
airing. She looked very gorgeous and beautiful in her shiny, lava-red dress
while performing her new-released dance video. Athena is now a famous
celebrity-doctor. Aside from doing her passion in dancing, she is also
specializing animal care and treatment.
After having dinner, I washed myself and cozied on for bed. I turned off
the lights and curled-up on bed. Everything I saw today flashed back. I saw
my classmates fulfilled their dreams. And indeed, I can proudly say, with
heads up high, that our teachers were right upon telling us that we are the
hope of the future. We really are an immense help for the betterment of this
country and of this world. I closed my eyes and did not know what happened
next.
