2. Overall Internship Experience

Internships provide us an opportunity to link theory with practice and

further serve as a temporary labor for Oromia International Bank that
have hosted me in the internship program.

The Wollega University Internship Program allows us an opportunity to

understand the Unique environmental conditions associated with a
particular level of the organization sector.

It provides me the career with demonstrated academic competence and

a hands-onexperience in the public sector.

2.1. Objective of the Internship

This internship Provides us with a practical real world experience in the

organization sector.
Enables us to develop important public administration skills which cannot be
taught in the classroom. These experience vary from working on special projects
for the interning agency to learning about the human motivation process in a
complex organization.
Permits us to apply the technical skills learned in the classroom to real world
software development related problems.

This practical attachment is a full time work experience, closely aligned with the
student’s specialization and arranged with an employer who believes it is desirable to
aid and help the university in training and education of the student .it is the short
duration practice that can be used for or increasing the student experience, skill
knowledge, communication skill, relation with other and the like.
Student knowledge about performing specific tasks and develops problem
identification and problem solving skills in banking system

Provides us with experience in an actual public or private agency before entering

the job market. Such experience not only increases our job prospects, but also
teaches us what we expected in terms of professional behaviour.
Enables us to compare theoretical ideas learned in the classroom within the
world of work regarding software development experiences.

highest level of decision making power. The database and software teams using the
architect input outcomes to implementation. Software test team has special emphasis
on the testing phase of system development life cycle.

Sections In General Banking Of OIB:-

 Account opening section
 Remittance section
 Clearing section
 Cash section

2.3. Procedures we have been using while we performing a work

To achieve our goal of internship we have been following the best approach that
leadsus to dedicated destination. The procedures we have been using during our
internshipperiod in OIB:-
 Analyze each projects and works which is assigned to us
 Identifying the task am working on
 Responding to change over following a plan
 Analyze software development life cycle and following incremental model
 Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
 Working software over comprehensive user manual

2.4. How good we have been performing my work tasks

During my internship program I work may tasks in enthusiasm, as well as my

supervisor is such as sincere man I ask a question he answered courteously. All in all I

3. Overall Internship Experience

In our starting period of internship, having practical and theoretical skill, we found
out that we have long way to improve our self to join the real world business activity.
This period not only let me know my level and skill, but also gives us opportunity to
start stepping forward in improving our self in many aspects.
we have been reading books, watching online tutorial, practising to apply our
theoretical knowledge and consulting. our associates to overcome difficulties and
upgrade our self. In time it was visible formthat we have improved our skills and
knowledge.

3.1. In terms of Improving practical Skill

In this two -three weeks internship we had experienced the difference between
theoretical skills. Even though I already came through practical exercised during my
courses at the university, I had a new environment of practical activity in this
internship period.

Starting from my typing skill while coding, to my ability putting different methods,
steps and theories of computer engineering to action are improved extremely.
 Software planning
 Software life cycle models
 Software project management
 Software requirement analysis
 User Interface design
 Database management

14
WU nedjo branch weekend program CS department
3.2. In terms of Upgrading theoretical Knowledge

While in our courses at the university, we believes we had all necessary theories,
most ofthem that we have them in practice in different assignment and project.
While in internship period, we found that there are a lot of theoretical knowledge
thatare important to deal with real world problem solving process. From
requirementgathering to deployment of a software system, there is much to explore
and know. And there for in every step of our work, mainly when we encounter
difficulties, weexplore new theoretical knowledge. Java Server Face, Java, Angular
Java and different Software development tools are some of the area that we
discover as a new theoretical knowledge. Server-client architecture, thread, Sql-
Server and MySQL are some of the areas that I develop my previous knowledge.

3.3. In terms of improving interpersonal communication skill

The other thing we have improved is our interpersonal communication skill. While in
the campus, most of communication held informally. Besides that, our informal
communication is mostly limited in close friends. On the top of that we still do not
make good team communication.
In this internship period, we have improved this informal communication, and
develop new formal communication skill. With the help of we associates, we have
found many options to develop these skills. Interpersonal communication Skills that
are critically wehave improved include:

Affirmation skills.
These verbal and non-verbal behaviours enable us to maintain
admiration, satisfy our needs, and defend our rights without aggressiveness,
manipulating, abusing, or controlling others.

Listening skills.
These skills enable us to recognize what another person is saying.
They comprise new ways of responding so that the other person feels his
troubles and feelings have been understood.

15
WU nedjo branch weekend program CS department
Conflict-resolution skills.
These skills enable us to resolve or manage conflicts effectively.
Especial in our work section during project execution the difference of
idea is obvious so that to overcome such idea overlap as a team a used
to different mechanism of conflict resolution.

3.4. In terms of understanding about the work ethics related issues

I have observed how the work ethic of managers impacts a firm’s

employment contracts, riskiness, development prospective, and
organizational structure.

Basic issues and work ethics we have understood:

 Act in the public interest
 Act in the best interests of client and employer
 Advance integrity and reputation of the profession
 Be fair to and supportive of my colleagues
 Participate in lifelong learning, and promote ethical behaviour, in practice
 Ensure products meet the highest professional standards
 Maintain integrity and independence in judgement
 promise to and encourage ethical management

3.5. In terms of Entrepreneurship skill

This internship period certainly helps me to have strong technology skills or expertise
in a key area, the key qualities are traits such as creativity, the ability to keep going in
the face of hardship, and the social skills needed to build great teams. In terms of
entrepreneurship skill I have improved the following skills:-

 Personal characteristics.
 Interpersonal skills.
 Critical and creative thinking skills.
 Practical skills.
 Facing different problems and come up with new solution
 Team working with cooperation

4. Projects and contribution
While on the internship we tried to work on the one projects during
around two to threeweeks.

4.1. Troubleshoot Managements(TTM)

Network troubleshooting has become a crucial element to many
organizations. The industry is moving toward increasingly complex
environments, involving multiple media types, multiple protocols, and
often interconnection to unknown networks.

4.1.1. How To Fix A Network Connectivity Problem

Here are the steps for fixing network connectivity issues:

1. Check that Wi-Fi is turned on and airplane mode is off
2. Check if the problem is with the website
3. Check if the problem is with your device
4. Restart your Device
5. Check for a valid IP address
6. Try a Ping and Trace the route
7. Inform to the internet service provider.

17
WU nedjo branch weekend program CS department
4.1.2. The Detail Description
1. Check the silly little things

It is annoying to think that you can overlook a minor thing like the Wi-Fi not being
switched on for the computer. So it is best to check that you haven’t inadvertently
hit that key.

2. Check if it is the website’s problem

Many times in what appears to be a network problem may in fact be a

problem on the website’s end.

3. Check if it is the device problem

Ask the colleagues if they are also experiencing connectivity problems. If

it downs for everyone in the office ,, then it is likely an issue with you
network device or ISP.

4. Restart/Hard Boot / power cycle

This is the go to step for all thing IT because it is doesn’t take long
(recommended wait for 60 seconds before turning to the system back
on ) and fixes at on of problems. So go ahead and switch off the system.

5. Check for a valid IP address

You first need to open the command prompt by typing CMD in your start
menu in Windows or by pressing the hot-Key combination window key
+r to launch the Run window and then typing “Cmd”.

6. Try a PING and TRACE the route

Using ip configrate to receive an IP address that begins with any value

other then 169 then it means the problem is occurring between the
router and the internet.

18
WU nedjo branch weekend program CS department
7. Inform to ISP of the network connectivity problem
At this point w have verified that a valid IP address and where the
problem lies in the network. With this information, you can reach out to
you IT support or your ISP.Once we have let our ISP or IT support know
of the problem, hopefully, they will resolve the problem in a short tie
especially since they have all the valuable information about the
problem that we have gathered.

4.1.3. Feasibility

We have divided the feasibility into three aspects

 Development feasibility
 Deployment feasibility
 Usability

4.1.3.1. Development feasibility

The development of this project will include:
Software
software is a program that accept the information and store them in the
database after converting to suitable and readable format.
A program that read the needed information from the database and displays to
customers of the company.

4.1.3.2. Deployment feasibility

Any organization to deploy TTM it requires only one and the indicated
hardware (Customized key board).

4.1.3.3. Usability feasibility

Anyone with reading ability could use TTM with no help.
