You are on page 1/ 1

No need for 3rd-party app use. You can do so manually.

Step 1. Press Windows key + R it will open a 'Run' tab type in %temp% delete everything. Do the same
without percentages.

Step 2. Press Windows key + R and type prefetch data delete everything.

Step 3. Press Windows key + S search for Internet Explorer right click and run as administrator. Once the
browser pop-up, go to the Settings on the upper right corner of the I.E. and look for a Advanced Settings
tab. Click reset. (This make no longer work as it directs you right in the Microsoft Edge browser for
19044.2006 Build 21H2 W users). Instead, access Microsoft Edge and press Ctrl+Shit+Delete check all the
boxes and delete everything.

Step 4. You can run DiskCleanUp and Disk Optimizations for better performance through C/disk
properties. You can also, run CMD as administrator and type sfc /scannow this will check Windows C for
any errors and will neutralize them if it has any.

Restart your PC.

Disk Cleanup already does a pretty good job along with the successor called
Storage sense in Start > Settings > System > Storage > Storage Sense > toggle
on and it will do everything for you clean up your disk and keep it optimized.

Also look into the free third party utility called TreeSize that can help find large
log files that eat up space and slow down your computer:
